Enemies


That first magic dance
Like we had always known each other
That first look in your eyes

We hated.

We fell into the dark
Together
As we ascended,

We understood.

To dance, and never stop
Or to die, and to move on
Neither we did:

We waited.

You left; I left;
The darkness we escaped
Floats between us.
I long for you...

Do you?

That last final dance
Of death and hate
And for a moment
Or two

We loved.
