Chapter 1: The Youth

I hadn't told any one yet, I had just found out my self. It was Yuki's eighteenth birthday and I was headed over to where he was now. I had never actually known the full zodiac curse myself, although I still don't believe I fully know yet, there still seems to be something that just isn't there, something missing. The weirdest part is that every time I try to mention this something happens, it's strange as though the gods do not wish me to find out about it. It had been a while since I gave up my search for more information, I decided it was best not to try to temp fate. In the Sohma house you try to learn this early on. It was this morning when Akito called me in to talk. The meeting went as most meetings went. It started at eleven thirty and lasted for twenty minutes. I went into Akito's room when told it was okay. I knelt in front of him, as was the usual custom. He seemed as though he was in perfect condition, which was strange considering how his usual pattern is. His back was to me and we waited in silence not saying a word. I wouldn't say this was unusual for him to behave in this pattern at such meeting but it seemed very peculiar all of the sudden. It seemed as though he was waiting for something or more just biding his time. Waiting for a certain time. This time came when ten minutes had gone by since I had arrived. Akito suddenly got up from his lazing position on the floor and walked over to me then he spoke with a voice I had not yet heard from him. Informative, concise and… polite. He said," Hatori, I understand that still do not know the full curse of this family, otherwise I would not have called you here. I will not tell you the entire curse, but I will tell you this much. The rat, on his eighteenth birthday he will turn everyone in the same house as him, including himself, will turn back into eleven year olds. This would happen at exactly noon. I want you to get every one who is at Shigure's house, except Yuki to be taken out, do you understand Hatori? " I had nodded once, Akito let me leave. I was now in the car nearing Shigure's house. I had five minutes to go. I ran down the path, without bothering to shut the door to my car. I got to the house, one more minute remained. Why had Akito wasted so much time, if he knew I only had ten minutes to get there? I entered the house and rushed into the kitchen where their voices had been coming from.
