Fruits Basket Fan Fiction ❯ A go in the Park ❯ Shigure's house. ( Chapter 3 )

Yeah sooo I got some inspiration and managed to figure out what I was doing next. Sorry to all you who love my writing. I didn't mean to make you wait sooo long.

Here it is then and ill stop talking.

Shigure’s house.

Haru and Emerald walked out of the woods with smiles. Haru was holding her hand and she brushed some tree bark off her shoulder.

“Well that was fun.” She said with a giggle as she walked closer to Haru and kissed his cheek.

Haru nodded and moved his arm to wrap around Em’s waist. “Yes, I bet Shigure never thought that I would do something like that in his woods before.” He said with a smirk.

Em laughed and moved her own arm around his waist. They turned a bend in the roan to Shigure’s house and she saw it in the distance. “Is that his house?” she asked.

It was a very cute white house with a black/gray roof and a large porch running around the outside of it.

Haru looked and nodded. “Yes that is my uncle Shigure’s house.”

Haru spent the rest of the walk telling Emerald that his cousins and his uncle were not going to let up till Emerald and Haru had told them what was going on. They were not going to tell them they had sex in the park or in Shigure’s trees. She smiled and nodded.

They got to the door and took off their shoes as they entered.

“Shigure? Its Haru. Kyo, Yuki? Tohru?” he called as they walked in not touching now.

Emerald was looking around at everything. She was about to pick up a book from the table by the phone when Haru stopped her.

“That’s one of my uncles books…he’s an author.” He put the book in the drawer of the table and pulled Emerald into the living room. He found all of them there: Kyo, Yuki, Tohru, Shigure and Momiji.

“Why didn't you say something when I called your name?” Haru asked as he and Emerald walked in and sat in chairs that had been placed in the middle of the room…assumedly for the two of them.
“We knew you’d get here at one point or another.” Shigure said with a shrug.

“Ok Haru now explain everything please?” Yuki asked.

“Yeah how can you touch her with out changing?” Momiji asked trying to be serious.

“Yeah! How does that work?” Kyo asked disgruntled.

Haru was about to answer when Emerald took his hand and stopped him. “I will explain, ok?”

Haru nodded and sat back in the chair. The others looked at Emerald waiting for the explanation.

“I am cursed like you guys as well. I'm from America and my family has a curse of its own. Its a mixture of this one you guys are under and of the American Zodiac. There are a lot more of us and we change when we get close to members of the same sex.”

She went on to explain how Haru found out and that they were dating now.

“Ohhh, that’s sooo cute!” Tohru said as she stood up and hugged her self in joy. “I should bake a cake or something!” she said with a smile.

“So what are you then?” asked Yuki.

“Oh, I’m the Gemini Dragon. And no, I don’t turn into a sea horse like your dragon does. Thankfully I become a realer looking dragon.”

The other looked amazed at this. Haru realized that he had been dating her for a week now and hadn’t see her form.

“Can you show us?” he asked.

Em smiled at him and nodded.

“Ohh but what about my house! I don’t know what I’d say to the insurance when they asked what happened this time…” he said worried.

Emerald smiled. “Don’t worry I’m a small dragon., don’t worry.” She stood and walked over to Tohru. She smiled. “This wont hurt.” She hugged Tohru and there was a snap and when the green fog cleared there was a dragon standing where Emerald had been. She was bright green with gold whiskers, gold horns on top her head and down her back, and gold talons on her front and hind legs. Everyone looked at her in aw.

“That is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen! We can not let Hatori see this.” Shigure said as he walked over to Emerald to look at her closer.
Haru smiled and looked at her too. She was a little bigger then a lion and she seemed to enjoy the attention.

“Can you blow fire?” Momiji asked excitedly.

“Can you really fly with these wings?” Shigure asked moving her wing a little.

Emerald smiled and flapped them herself, hitting Shigure in the face.

“Of course I can, to both of those questions. Where is the back yard?” she asked.

Yuki and Kyo smiled when Shigure fell to the ground when her wing had hit him. They opened the sliding door to the yard. “This way.” They said. Em smiled and careful of her nails on the wood floor she walked into the yard.

She shook her self off then flapped her wings, which extended from her body more then she is long, and after several flaps her front end came off the ground. After a few more she was off the ground. She gave several more hard flaps and was off flying over the trees. She flew around the house and as she came back she hovered over them all and blew a large fire ball into the sky. They all clapped as she blew some lines into the sky and several more fire balls. She landed with a thud and ran to the trees. There was another snap and they saw her head from around a tree.

“Um Tohru-chan…could you please bring me my clothes?” she asked with a smile.

“Oh yes of course!” Tohru said as she ran to get Emerald’s things. She ran back and handed them to her. After a few minuets she came out dressed. She was tying up her long hair with a smile.

“How was that?” she asked as she rolled her shoulders a little.

“That was so cool Emerald!! You flew then you blew fire!! I wish I was like you! I want to blow fire!” Momiji said happily as he took off, arms extended like a dragon making noises like he was blowing fire too. Emerald smiled and Tohru ran after him making the same noises.

“Yes. That was quite amazing.” Yuki said.

“Yeah…it was kind of cool.” Kyo said with his arms crossed.

“Well why are you guys here?” Shigure asked as he sat on the porch.

“Well, we wanted to know if we should tell Akito about her family. Her family did come here to met us and get to know others like them, in a way, but I don’t know how Akito will like this.” Haru said.

Shigure nodded and rested his head in his hand, elbow rested on his knee. “I see. This is interesting.” He looked at his watch and saw it was getting late. “It’s getting late so I think I will call Hatori and see what he thinks. Haru you walk her home and I will talk to you tomorrow. Ok?” he asked with a smile as he stood to say bye.

Haru and Em nodded. Emerald hugged Shigure. “Thank you so much.” Shigure looked a little surprised to be hugged by a girl not in his family but that wore off.

“Your welcome.” He said as he patted her back. She smiled and hugged Momiji who came running over.

“I’ll see you in school on Monday ok?” Momiji asked.

Emerald hugged him back and nodded. “Yes, see you Monday Momiji.” She let go and smiled at Yuki and Kyo. “I’ll see you two on Monday as well.” They smiled back and she took Haru’s hand and waved at them all. She didn't hug Tohru for obvious reason but they said bye and waved at each other as Em and Haru left.

As they walked back up the road from Shigure’s clouds started rolling in and covering up the sky. When they got to the end of the road and headed to Emerald’s it started raining.
And it only got harder and harder as they ran home. Half way there they stopped under a bus stop and panted. They squeezed water out of their clothes. Emerald was shivering badly.

“H-Haru if I get t-too cold-d I can…change.” She said through chattering teeth. Haru looked at her worried. He couldn’t carry her if she changed. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around her. He held her tight as he picked her up and ran to her house as fast as he could.

“It’s ok. We’re almost there Em. Hold on, don’t change ok?” he said as he neared her house.

He got to her front door and knocked. Her mother opened the door, she looked obviously worried.

“Oh thank God she didn't change out there. Come in Haru, set her on the couch we got warm blankets ready.”

Haru walked in past Em’s mother and set her on the warm blankets on the couch just as her dad entered with warm towels and some new clothes for her.

“Oh good. She home.” He set the clothes on the table and handed some towels to his wife and to Haru. They took off Haru’s wet jacket and began drying her off. After that Emeralds mother made her husband and Haru go find Haru some new clothes and get warm, then make something hot for both Em and Haru to eat. Emerald’s mother stayed with Emerald to change her out of the wet clothes and put her in her warm jammies.

After Haru had changed and Emerald was changed and warming up. Haru told them what he had talked to his uncle about and that he was going to talk to his other uncle about them talking to Akito. After Em woke up and ate the hot soup they had made Haru helped her to her bed.

He was staying with them tonight. It was too bad to drive and they didn't want him walking. He had called Hatori and told him. Hatori had said he had talked to Shigure already and was going to think on it some more. When Haru got to the house tomorrow the two of them would talk more.

Haru kissed Emerald goodnight before leaving to go sleep on the couch.
