Ch. 3

"What I have in this pack is non of your business, you old lecher…" said Yuki looking at his cousin annoyingly.

Shigure keeps rubbing his head and sits up with his jaw dropped facing Yuki. He then glances over to Tohru and stares at her. "Poor girl"

"Stop it Shigure, she does not need your pity" Yuki said while closing his eyes folding his arms over his chest.

Yuki then moves over and unfolds his arms placing the pack right next to the sleeping Tohru and walks to the other side of the room watching her as well.

Dawn comes and it is early morning, Yuki had passed out slouching against the wall, and Shigure was in the middle of bouncing his head up and down trying to strain the sleep from his eyes. Tohru was just barely getting up; slowly she opened her eyes and arose from her slumber. She turned her head from side to side looking and taking in the place she is now at.

"Where…am..I?" she asked out loud still a bit drowsy. "Hey it's Yuki, a..and his cousin Shigure" she said looking at both of them.

She gets up and first moves over to Yuki, she then examines him and sees that he is asleep. Then she makes her way to Shigure, watching him bounce his head. "Um..Shigure are you alright?" she asked lightly slowly putting her hand on his head.

Shigure slowly looked up to Tohru and stared at her. His eyes were droopy and he had fatigue from lack of rest. "Ah…so the princess awakened"

"Are you okay Shigure?" Tohru asked worryingly.

"Yes, I am fine but I think you should go talk to Yuki, he got your stuff. I should know, he threw it on my head when I was only…eh…well… he just hit me and it hurt, I think I have a lump on my head" Shigure said rubbing his head a bit.

Tohru had nodded and she quietly made her way of to the slumbering Yuki, and she gently rested her hand on his shoulder. " Yuki…Yuki..."she said gently rocking him with her hand. "I think he went out cold Shigure, it's all my fault…I'm sorry," she said tearing covering her face with her hands. Suddenly a hand had reached out and had cupped Tohru's cheek wiping her tears away with a thumb.

"Don't cry Miss. Honda, I am all right." He said gently.

"So…so… you are fine?"

"Yes", he nodded.

He slowly took his katana off his hip and placed it against the wall. Then he pulled the pack out from behind him.

"I believe this is yours Miss. Honda", he said as he handed her the pack.

She reached her hands out and grabbed the pack bringing it to her chest hugging it. "Thank you Yuki, this means so much too me" she said smiling.

"It is no problem Miss. Honda… I", before he could finish the sentence, Tohru had lunged forward to him and gave him a hug. Yuki's eyes had widened in panic, and Shigure stood up abruptly with big eyes as well sweat dropping. Tohru looked to her side and looked at Shigure. Then suddenly, there was a big "POOF!" "She looked forward in front of her and saw a cute little gray rat with big purple eyes.

"Yu…ki? …Oh my gosh!!!! I turned him into a rat! Shigure! Help me! … Ah!!!!!!!" She screamed panicking holding the rat, running around.

"Now, now, there is no reason to panic, just calm down and I will explain everythi…." But before he could finish his sentence Tohru had tripped over her feet, and landed on top of him on the floor. She jumped up away from him and blushed looking at Shigure. All he could do was stare at her with widened and dilated eyes, and "POOF!". He had transformed into a black dog.

"Uh…I'm ….so … sorry", she said, then passed out still holding onto Yuki in his rat form.

"This will not do Yuki, you know what is to happen to her." Shigure said looking at Yuki.

"I know Shigure, but for now, when she wakes back up, we have to tell her the truth."

After about a few minutes Tohru had reawakened. The shot right up like a bowling pin and looked around her frantically. "Ah...it was all just a dream ^ ^;"

"Actually, it isn't, welcome back Tohru" Said a black dog that was sitting in front of her.

"Are you all right Miss. Honda?" said a little gray rat standing near the black dog.

"What's going on?" she asked.

"Well first things first, if I were you, I would turn away now." Said the dog Shigure.

"Um…Why?" she asked afraid of knowing.

"Because when a certain amount of time is ran out, we turn back to our human forms we are …'POOF!' naked." Said Shigure as he turned around having his back on her. Yuki did the same thing only folding his arms over his chest closing his eyes annoyingly.

"AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…. um…. ah!" Tohru screeched freaking out into a major panic hugging the walls blushing.

After a while of screaming and blushing, the two young Sohmas got dressed back into their clothes. All three made there way to the table sipping on tea.

"You see Tohru, when we Sohmas are hugged by a member of the opposite sex, we transform into our animals form, we are members of the zodiac. As you have seen, Yuki is the rat, and well, I am the dog. You can call it a curse, but I am not sure."

"Oh I see, so you transformed because I feel on you accidentally, and Yuki transformed because I hugged him."

"Correct Miss. Honda."

"Well now I have to go inform Akito about this situation. You know how he is when we keep secrets from him." Said Shigure.

"Akito?"

"Yes, he is the head of the Sohma family. He basically makes certain decisions for us, and makes a bunch of rules for us to follow by."

"I see."

Yuki looked over to Tohru, then he looked towards Shigure. He frowned and stood up walking out of the room and opened the shoji door to go outside and walk around.

"Um…Yuki?" Tohru asked as she watched him.

"Don't worry about him Tohru, he probably wants to be by himself, after all I just made him come back, and I mentioned someone he does not like."

"You mean Akito?"

"Yes, he and Akito have a history together, so he doesn't really like to talk about him. Well Tohru, do you have anywhere to go?"

"Well...uh…no" She said as she looked down to the ground.

"We have an extra room here, you can live here with me and Yuki, as our house keeper." Shigure said with pride.

"Oh no, I could not do that, after all, I am a stranger, and besides I don't know what I should do"

"Don't be so modest, you are welcomed here, I will even pay you for your services."

"You are giving me too much, I don't know what to say."

"I will get Yuki to show you your room and bring your stuff up there with you. I will go get him now." He said as he arose from his seat and began to walk to the shoji door.

"Thank you so much Shigure!" She said as she jumped up smiling and bowing

"No problem Tohru" he said smiling and walked out on to the porch standing next to Yuki.

"You plan on getting rid of her don't you Shigure? Like all the others." Yuki said turning quickly to Shigure frowning and annoyed yelling.
