Yuki stared at the two adults in anger and disbelief. Akito, of all the things he's done, and could do, this was the worst. But why only Tohru? What could she have possibly done to deserve this? Tohru was nice, kind, loving, and she wouldn't hurt a fly. There was no way she deserved something like this. There was no way Yuki was going to let Akito do something like that to her. Only he wasn't the only one thinking it.

Kyo lowered his head so that his bangs covered his eyes. All you could hear was deep growling and all you could see was him visibly shaking. How could this happen? Why didn't he notice before? Another growl was heard. Because of the damn smile! It was because she'd always come home with some excuse and always flash that damn smile. The smile was worse than the rat standing beside and that was saying something.
Hatori turned to leave before he was stopped by the young cat's voice.

“So we're supposed to walk away like nothings happening?!” He shouted at the dragon. There was a long pause before he finally answered.

“There's nothing we can do.” He said before walking out. Both boys turned to the last adult.

“Shigure please there has to be at least something we can do to help.” Yuki pleaded. Shigure just looked away.

“I'm sorry Yuki but trying to help will only make matters worse you both know…” He said before stopping. “No zodiac member can go against Akito.” He turned to walk out as well.

“Well I'm not a member of this stupid zodiac so I don't have to listen to the bastard!” Kyo shouted. Shigure turned around sharply.

“Kyo you know as well as I do that member or not you can't go against Akito as well! And have you ever stopped to think about poor Tohru? Do you think she's doing this because she wants to? She's doing this for a reason. We don't know what yet but we have no right to interfere.” He stated. Yuki glared at him angrily before turning away to comfort Miss Honda but when he got there something was wrong.

“W…where did Miss Honda go?!”

Akito picked up the bird that had landed in his room and held it up so he could observe it.

“You know,” he said turning to his unexpected visitor. “I didn't expect you to come. If I had known I would have been more prepared.” He said chuckling. The young girl just sat there waiting. He smiled as he slowly got up and fixed his kimono. He walked over to the woman and firmly grasped her chin. She gasped and closed her eyes tightly.

“A little monster like you shouldn't have walked here all by yourself….at night.” He whispered in her ear before throwing her to the ground. She quickly scrambled up into the sitting positing she had occupied before the snatch.

“I…need to talk to you.” She stuttered careful not to spike his temper. The last thing she needed was to limp on the way home.

“And what could be so important?” He asked his kimono slipping off his shoulders. Thoru gulped before finding the right words to say so he wouldn't get mad.

“I…think Yuki and Kyo know about my comings.” Tohru finally managed out. Akito's eyes narrowed as he felt his anger rising. He grabbed a handful of her hair and yanked her closer to his face.

“And just how did that happen?” He asked threw gritted teeth. Tohru paused because of the pain before continuing.

“Hatori…came for a visit.” She explained. She closed her eyes tightly waiting for an impact but after there was none she finally opened them. He grip on her hair loosened until he finally let go altogether. But just as Tohru thought it was over he snarled and punched her in the face sending her sliding across the wooden floor.

“Get out of here! And tell Hatori I want a word with him on your way out!” He screamed. Tohru quickly scrambled up and ran out of the room holding her now bleeding, and most likely, broken nose. Walking out into the cold she knocked on Hatori's door and regretted coming in a state like this. The dragon opened the door moments later and looked at her with wide eyes.

“Akito says he wants to see you.” She said her voice muffled by her hand. She turned to leave but stopped for the dragon softly placed a hand on her shoulder. She slowly turned around to a pleading face begging for forgiveness. She placed her free hand on his cheek saying it was all right before leaving. Hatori sighed and grabbed his coat to see Akito. He didn't expect for Akito to do something like that to poor Tohru. Bruising her was one thing but breaking her nose was another. But the dragon couldn't help but feel it was his fault. After all it was her job to tell Akito everything now. He should have known she'd tell him of his visit. He should have known not to tell Yuki or Kyo a thing. But now what's done is done only Tohru paying the price this time.

“Hold still Tohru or it'll hurt only worse.” Shigure said after Tohru jumped and winced for the up-tenth time. Akito did her in good this time. It looked like he tried to break her nose but on managed to make it bleed terribly so it'd appear broken. Tohru came her face behind her hand. He can still remember the face on Yuki and Kyo's face when they saw all that blood. Shigure chuckled. It took forever to calm that crazy cat down. But of course Yuki found a way to do it. And now here they were. Shigure patching up her nose as best as he could, and Tohru wiggling in pain. He would have called Hatori over again but Tohru had convinced him not to for very good reasons.

“There! All done.” He said happily. Tohru bowed gratefully.

“Thanks you Shigure for helping me.” She said. Shigure could only laugh and wave his hand.

“No problem.” He said standing up. Tohru sat up quickly and watched him leave. It would take time to recover from an injury like that but she had no time. She was to be back tomorrow. She smiled and looked at her three princes. She was doing this for them. `It's all for them.' She thought back to the first agreed meeting with Akito.

*Flashback*

The young brunette shut her eyes because of the pain. Akito had slapped her half-way across the room after she announced her plan to him.

“Don't you ever come to me with that!” He shouted his eyes showing sign of his craziness. “I don't want to hear those words again!” Tohru sat up amd looked at him determinedly.

“I want…to break the curse.” She repeated. Akito turned to her. But before he could do anything else his anger slowly ebbed away and a smile replaced his snarl. He walked coolly to the kneeling girl and grabbed a fistful of her hair.

“You want to break the curse?Do you know what you have to do to break the curse?” He asked slyly before dipping down to whisper in her ear.

“Someone has to die.”

Tohru eyes widened as she gulped. Was she really ready to make that sacrifice. Then she remembered all the members of the zodiac and what they meant to her. What they did for her. She looked up at Akito.

“I'll do anything.”

Akito was taken by surprise at first but slowly another smirk came to his face.

“Just don't think you'll die quickly. Oh no,” He said his grip tightening. “I'm going to make you wish you never got involved with this curse.”
