A boy, around the age of 14 held onto his little brothers hand tightly, leading him through the snow to someone’s house.
The little brother, no more then 4 looked up at his older brother.
“Niichan? Where are we going?” His eyes were so innocent and pleading. He trusted his older brother, but he wanted to know where he was going.
“Yuki, I want you to meet someone.” Ayame said. The pair stopped in front of a door, and the older of the two knocked.
“Who is it? Another person from the zodiac?” Yuki asked.
Ayame smiled and nod his head. He knew everything he was doing now was wrong, and if Akito, the present clan head, ever found out. He’d definitely be in trouble. Though Akito was only 7, he was powerful, and very dominant.
A woman opened the door, and greeted the two brothers.
“Oh, Ayame. It’s nice to see you. Kyou will be happy to have a playmate.” She said as she glanced down at Yuki, who smiled at her.
“Yes, I hope they get along well, considering...” He didn’t finish his sentence, he knew all to well how the mother felt about her child. She loved him, but everyone knew she had a hard time accepting him.
“Yes, well, come in Yuki. I’ll see you later Ayame.” The woman led Yuki in and closed the door behind her. Ayame smiled and walked away.
Yuki blinked as he was led through the house, it was smaller then his own, but still quite large. He snapped out of his thoughts when the lady, whom he figured to be ‘Kyou’s’ mother led him into a room, where a little boy, the same age as him, was sitting on the ground playing with a train set.
“Kyou, this is Yuki. Play nicely, and I’ll bring you two some snakes in a little while ok?” The lady left the room.
“Umm, hi. My name’s Yuki.” He said innocently. Not knowing that this young boy was the cat, not knowing that they we’re supposed to be enemies.
“My name is Kyou.” The orange-haired boy smiled.
For the next 30 minutes or so, the two boy’s exchanged information about eachother, their families, how old they were, stuff like that, things normal 4 year olds talked about.
“What zodiac are you?” Yuki asked.
“I’m the cat, what about you?” Kyou asked.
“I’m the rat.” Yuki replied sadly. Whenever he was with Akito, the older boy always told him how horrible the cat was, and how they should be enemies.
But this boy was certainty not horrible.
“Oh.” Kyou said sadly, he knew that they were supposed to be enemies.
“So, can we stay friends Kyou?” Yuki asked, not really understanding the whole ‘enemy’ thing that everyone told him about.
“Ok!” Kyou replied happily.
This boy was his first friend.

Ayame stood there in Yuki’s doorway, watching Kyou as he gently lay Yuki on his bed. That was it, they really cared for eachother. No one could deny it, at least no one who was around when Yui was head.
The diary, they have to see it, they have to know...The legend, the zodiac...They have to know the true story. They must know the true story of the zodiac, and the reason the rat ‘tricked’ the cat.

Yuki opened his eyes and sat up quickly. He looked to his left, and saw Kyou sitting on his desk chair, his arms were folded, and his head was placed between them, he was sleeping.
Yuki smiled sadly.
He had to go see Akito, before he got mad. Before he hurt Kyou.
With a sighed, Yuki stood up and scribbled a note on a piece of paper, and left the room, dreading his trip to the Sohma house. Why did Akito want to see him anyway?

‘Kyou! Go to it, go unleash the true legend of the zodiac! In the main house, all the way up in the attic is a diary, if you want true happiness with Yuki, go to it!’
Kyou awakened quickly...That voice...was that a dream?
Kyou looked around, no one was in the room. He picked up the note.
Kyou,
I went to see Akito...But just remember, no matter what happens...I love you.
Yuki.
‘Diary...What diary? Damnit!’ Kyou yelled as he left the room in a run. Whatever the hell that diary was, he’d find it!
Ayame smiled as he came out from the closet.
He knew Akito would be mad, but, for his brothers happiness, he’d risk anything.
He sighed, thinking of how Akito might punish him.
He’d risk anything,
Even his life.

So, that was kinda boring ^^;; sorry! Lol, next chapter is better, and the diary comes up, along with the true zodiac story! Hehe.
