The shot wasn't heard by anyone outside the room. Everyone was either inside the main house enjoying a banquet or outside being mesmerized by fireworks.

No one knew.

No one knew how much they truly loved each other.

No one knew how much not being able to be together truly hurt them.

No one knew the length's they were willing to go to in order to be together.

This was the only way that they could escape. Escape the Akito, Escape the curse, Escape everything.

He looked at her now empty body. Her beautiful long black hair truly stood out against the pure white of her dress. Even now she was still the most beautiful person he had ever seen.

They had made the decision to do this just a few days ago. After realizing how much they truly love each other. Haru knew that if he could be with her forever this way then he would. The fireworks had ended and everything seemed silent. Rin's dress was somehow completely untouched by the blood that seemed to paint the wall behind her. He laid himself down next to her.

He brushed some loose strands of hair out of her face.

He then held the cold metal to his head that her knew would bring him to her.

The second shot was heard by many.

The people all wondered around searching for the cause of the shot which they knew meant someone was hurt.

It took them all even longer to realize who was missing from the banquet.

Kagura walked in ready to ask why Rin had not gone to the banquet when the sight of the entwined lifeless lovers caught her. She screamed at the top of her lungs as she realized what they had done.

But it was to late.

They would now be together forever.
