Song, dance, and duets galore rule the stage as the second part of Furuba Idol kicks off! Will Kyo and Yuki be able to restrain from killing each other? Will Hatori finally realize that he can sing? And just exactly WHAT kind of secret is Akito keeping under his kimono? All these questions and more are anwsered in the episode to come, so keep reading!

AN~ I find that it's easier to imagine this whole fic if you have the songs to actually listen to. Just a tip!

AN~ I can't really say that there are spoilers about Akito in this chapter, it's more like..half a spoiler. It's as funny as hell though, you've got to read it!( I'm making fun of the Akito spoiler.)

AN~ I haven't seen a lot of American Idol, actualy. So if I get some of the details wrong, please forgive me.

Round Five, Part Two:

 

* the song Passenger Seat by SheDAISY plays in the foreground as the cameras do a magnificent sweep of the theater. Akito is standing onstage and Shigure and Hatori lounge at the judges table. The music dies down as Akito begins to speak.*

 

Akito: for this round of Furuba Whatever-

 

Shigure: it's 'Idol'!

 

Akito: I don't care! For this round of Furuba Idol-Whatever-

 

Shigure: * sighs*

 

Akito: -our contestants have to work together to impress ME! Ha, I mean, the judges. * cough, cough* and if anyone is caught cheating..heads will roll. * produces a katana out of random hammer space*

 

All: o.O'…

 

Shigure: I thought that was just an expression! *gulp*

 

Akito: * sits down in his seat* let's get this show ON THE ROAD SO I CAN GO HOME!

 

Hatori: * sigh* first up are Kyo and Yuki.

 

Shigure: * snort* ha! Those two are doing a duet?! Oh, the horror, I think I'm going to pee my pants! * laughter*

 

Hatori: * wondering* how did I ever find such weird friends?

 

Akito: you have friends?

 

* Kyo and Yuki enter from stage right, trying not to bicker, and failing*

 

* Annie Get Your Gun music starts to play*

 

Yuki: Anything you can do, I can do BETTER.

 

Kyo: HA!

 

Yuki: I can do anything better than you.

 

Kyo: no you can't.

 

Yuki: yes I can.

 

Kyo: no you can't.

 

Yuki: yes I can, YES I CAN!

 

Kyo: anything you can be I can greater, sooner or later I'm greater than you.

 

Yuki: no you're not.

 

Kyo: yes I am.

 

Yuki: no you're not.

 

Kyo: yes I am, YES I AM! I could shoot a partridge with a single cartridge.

 

Yuki: I could shoot a sparrow with a bow and arrow.

 

Kyo: I could live off bread and cheese.

 

Yuki: and only on that?

 

Kyo: yup!

 

Yuki: so can a Rat.

 

Shigure: * snicker, laugh hystericaly*

 

Kyo: any note you can sing, I can sing higher. * glares at Shigure*

 

Yuki: I can sing any note higher than you.

 

Kyo: no you can't.

 

Yuki: yes I can. * goes higher*

 

Kyo: no you can't. * goes higher*

 

Yuki: yes I can. * goes even higher*

 

Kyo: no you CAN'T! * goes EVEN higher*

 

Yuki: yes I CAN! * glass shatters*

 

Kyo: how do you sing that high?

 

Yuki: I'm a GIRL!

 

Kyo: OMFG!!

 

Akito: * look of horror* and why wasn't I informed of this?!

 

Shigure: but Akito, I thought you'd seen Yuki naked enough to know.

 

Akito: well actually..

 

Hatori: I don't even WANT to know.

 

Shigure: * snicker* is-is it t-true Ha-ri?

 

Hatori: sadly, it's true.

 

Female Audience Members: NOOOOO!! *sob*

 

Kyo: I think I'm gonna be sick… * runs off stage, pukes*

 

Yuki: * embarressed, sob, runs off stage* (AN~ Yuki isn't really a woman, though he IS only 80% male.)

 

* music stops and the only sound is Shigure's hysterical laughter*

 

Akito: stop laughing, it's not funny anymore.

 

Shigure: y-yes it is! * LAUGH*

 

Akito: no it's not! I hate it when people hide their real genders! It pisses me off!

 

Shigure: * playfull grin* and what about YOU Akito?

 

Akito: * raise eyebrow* what do you mean, Shigure?

 

Shigure: I mean, * whispers into Akito's ear* What's under your kimono? If you're so eager, why don't you show the world, neh?

 

Hatori: no, wait, that's a BAD idea! Don't listen to him Akito!

 

Akito: that's right! * leaps up on stage, throws off his kimono and stands there NAKED* I'LL TELL IT TO THE WORLD TOO! I'M NOT A MAN, I'M NOT A WOMAN, IN FACT, I'M BOTH!!! MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

 

Hiro: * covers Kisa's eyes* don't look!

 

Kyo & Yuki: O.O * double-puke*

 

Audience: O.O'

 

Random FB fangirl: ha! I knew it!

 

Ren: * smacks forehead* why? WHY?!

 

Shigure: * hysterical laughter*

 

Hatori: alright Akito, let's just put your clothes back on.. * hops up on stage, puts Akito's kimono back on, leads him/her/it off stage* that's enough excitement for one day.

 

Audience: * still in shock*

 

Shigure: ha ha ha..i think I'm bleeding again…* sighs, wipes tears from his eyes* alright, who's up next?

 

Hatori: * walks out on stage with Aya* Aya and I are next.

 

Shigure: * snicker* you two are singing together?

 

Hatori: Aya's my back-up singer.

 

Shigure: right. Oh, this is going to be good! I'll have enough blackmail material to last me to 2021!

 

* Gackt music starts to play, Aya is the back-up singer*

 

Hatori: Walking around aimlessly by myself
Breathing a faint sigh, my breath turns white
Seasons change, and in this fleeting season..

Female Audience Members: * sniffle, sniffle, SOB*

 

Shigure: oh no, I-I think I've got something in my eye..* wipes away tears*

 

Akito: * clothes back on and in judges chair* dammit, even I'M crying!

 

* music stops, and the entire theater is silent except for the sound of crying and sobbing.*

 

* before Hatori can say anything, Ayame bursts out SOBBING and glomps Hatori*

 

Ayame: Tori-san! That was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard in my entire life! * sob, sparkle*

 

Hatori: b-beautiful?

 

Shigure: * blows nose loudly* * HONK* h-hai Ha-san. It was beautiful, I don't think there's a single woman in this audience who hasn't been moved to tears. Not to mention a couple of men as well, myself included. * he hops up on stage*

 

Hatori: * is glomped by Shigure and Ayame* * tear, smile* alright you idiots, I'd better get off this stage before I reduce the entire world to tears, right?

 

Shigure & Ayame: right.

 

Audience: * cheers for Hatori's awesomeness*

 

Akito: okay…the moment's gone, can we get on with the show now?

 

Shigure: right Akito, we're moving along. Hop on up here, we're singing together, remember Akito?

 

* Hatori shuffles off stage, stage left and Akito and Shigure take up microphones for their vocal performance*

 

* Phantom of the Opera music starts to play*

 

Shigure: You have come here, in pursuit of your deepest urge. In pusuit of that wish which 'till now has been silent..silent. I have brought you, that our passions may fuse and merge. In your mind you've already succumed to me, dropped all defenses, completely succumbed to me. Now you are here with me, no second thoughts, you've decided..decided. Past the point of no return, no backward glances, our games of make-believe are at an end. Past all thought of 'if' or 'when', no use resisting, abandon thought and let the dream decend. What raging fire shall flood the soul? What rich desires unlock its door? What sweet seduction lies before us? Past the point of no return, the final threshold, what warm unspoken secrets will we learn? Beyond the point of no return…

 

Akito: You have brought me, to that moment when words run dry, to that moment when speech dissappears into silence..silence. I have come here, hardly knowing the reason why. In my mind I've already imagined our bodies entwining, defenseless and silent. Now I am here with you, no second thoughts, I've decided..decided. Past the point of no return, no going back now. Our passion play has now at last begun. Past all thought of right or wrong, one final question, how long should we two wait before we're one? When will the blood begin to race? The sleeping bud burst into bloom? When will the flames at last consume us?

 

Akito & Shigure: Past the point of no return, the final threshold! The bridge is crossed, so stand and watch them burn. We've past the point of no return…

 

* music stops, all AkitoxShigure fans in the audience cheer madly*

 

Hatori: * back in his seat* good job you two.

 

Shigure: thank you. * bow*

 

Akito: you liked our song?

 

Shigure & Hatori: of course we liked your song Akito.

 

Akito: GOOD.

 

Hatori: alright, now get off the stage before you reduce all the anti-AkitoxShigure fans to tears.

 

Shigure: ha, right. * he and Akito sit back down as Kagura, Kisa and Hana come out on stage from stage right.*

 

* Dixie Chicks music starts to play, Kisa, Hana, and Kagura are all singing together.*

 

Kagura & Kisa & Hana: who doesn't know what I'm talkin' about? Who's never left home, who's never struck out? To finally dreamin' a life of their own, a place in the clouds, a foundation of stone?

Many preceed and many will follow. A young girl's dreams no longer hollow. It takes the shape of a place out West. But what it holds for her, she hasn't yet guessed.

Akito: it's right up there with Polka, boy-bands, and the soundtrack for the Titanic. ( AN~ Akito is not expressing the Author's views on country, so no flames plz.)

 

* music stops*

 

Shigure: alright girls, awesome job! You can all go back to your dressing rooms now, we're not announcing the winners of this round 'till the next chapter.

 

Audience: * moans and boos of disapproval*

 

Hatori: the reason being that we've had such good performances this round that we can't judge them all by ourselves.

Hatori: the 6th round will be the 3rd and final round of Furuba Idol, and after that will be a 7th chapter where the next Furuba Idol will be announced, and then the conclusions. It's hard to think that this fic is coming to its end, but it is. oh, and will some one please tell the author exactly what happens in the final round of American Idol, so she can end the fic properly? ( because, I'm sorry to say, she has no clue.)
