A week after the kiddnapping incident, everything seemed to be getting back to normal for the Sohma house... until that one call...
Kyo yawned as he walked through the hall, a carton of milk in his left hand. There was Tohru, on the phone in Shigure's room.
Tohru: Ah huh... Yeah... I'll ask him ... 4 days? Yeah, we can do it. Your welcome, Arisa. Bye.
She hung up the phone. Tohru sighed, then noticed Kyo. Yuki and Shigure*who suddenly appeared* behind him.
Tohru: OH! I didn't see ya'll there!
Yuki: What's going on, Miss Honda?
Tohru: Well, Arisa and her aunt and uncle are going on a trip for the weekend. They need someone to watch her aunt's 9 month-old neice.
Kyo: God, how many vactions can one girl take?
Shigure: *nudges Kyo* So, what? We can probably take care of her.
Tohru: REALLY?! *o*
Kyo: Huddle! *Grabs Shigure and Yuki, walks into the hallway*

Everyone is standing out on the front porch. A car pulls in, on their yard. Tohru walks to the car, as Arisa gets out carrying her aunt's neice. They start talking, then Tohru takes the baby, and walks torward Shigure and the others. Arisa gets back into the car and leaves.
Tohru: Isn't she cute? Her name is Kyoto!
Shigure, Yuki and Kyo look at the baby. She had brown hair with blonde highlights( Wow.. highlights O_O). Her big, brown eyes blinked at them.
Yuki and Kyo: Uhhh...
Shigure: *Tickles Kyoto's stomach* She is a real cutie! Just wait when she grows up. *drools* Isn't that right, Kyoto?
Kyoto vomits on Shigures kimono.
*Long Silence*
Shigure: :D *anime sweatdrop*

Tohru is in the kitchen, making dinner.

Tohru: Yuki, do you mind playing with her for a bit? I need to work on dinner.
Yuki nods, and places Kyoto in a stroller. They go to his 'Secret Base'.
Yuki: You see, Kyoto*turned away, planting seeds*. Soon these will become flowers, and fruits and*Turns to look at Kyoto/ She's covered in dirt*
Yuki: Oh No! Kyoto!
*He kneels down at her//She sneezes//Dirt is all over Yuki's face//Kyoto laughs and claps at the same time*

*12:00 am*
Kyo is walking to the roof. He hears someone humming in the hallway. He investigates and she's Tohru feeding Kyoto while sitting on the staircase, singing a lullaby.
Kyo: So?
Tohru: Oh, Kyo. Your still awake. *Bags under her eyes*
Kyo: Where did you learn that song?
Tohru: My mom sang it to me when I was a little girl. *She closes her eyes and continues humming*

Kyo stares at her. Something warm touched him in the inside. He blushes.
Tohru: Well, she's finally asleep. I guess we should go to bed too. Good night. *Walks up the stairs, into her room with Kyoto craddled in her arms*.
Kyo stands their, thinking for the longest time. He then goes to the roof and falls asleep

*Day Two*
Tohru: *keeps on sneezing in her bed*
Kyo, Yuki and Shigure walk into her room.

Shigure places the back of his hand on her forehead.
Shigure: My, it looks like you have a terrible fever.
Tohru: Shigure, Yuki, Kyo. Don't worry about me. May you please watch the baby for today?
Shigure nodds. They exit the room, with Kyoko in a basket*to help them from transforming*.
Kyo: Great! How are we supposed to take care of her now?!
Shigure: It'll be easy!

He walks to the phone.

*On the way to Shigure's house.*
Shigure, Haru, Momiji, Yuki and Kyo are walking in a sideways line in slow motion, acting all cool. They are all dresses as if they are going to a nucleur power plant. Cool rock music is playing in the background.
Shigure: Whooppss.. I totally forgot.. WE LEFT THE BABY ALONE IN THE HOUSE!
*Everyone looks at him. Then looks at the ground. (long scilence)*
They all start running(stopping the slow motion) to Shigure's house hesitantly, yelling stuff.

Haru and Momiji have those salad clipper things in their hands in Shigure's room. Shigure, Yuki, and Kyo are hesitating in the hallway(as if they were worried relatives and Kyoto was in a emergancy room).
Haru: Alright, Momiji. Let's get this over with.
Momiji: *nod*
Haru opens the diaper.
*5 minutes later*
Haru and Momiji open the door. Their eyes are widened.
Kyo: So?!
Momiji: We did it.. but.. O_O|||
Haru: That was not worth 150 yen a minute... O_O|||
They walk out of the house, still with that shocking look on their faces.
Kyo and the others peep into the room. Kyoto is sitting there, messing with one of Shigure's "books".

Kyo is sleeping on the staircase, worn out by babysitting. He felt something tugging on his shirt. Kyo slowly opens his eyes, and sees Kyoto smiling at him.
Kyo: AHH!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! GO TO BED ALREADY!!
Kyoto looks at him. She was scared that Kyo's voice got so violent, and started weeping.
Kyo gasps at what he just did. He puts Kyoto in the basket, and then feeds her.
Kyo:*holding Kyoto in the basket in his right arm* Your a real nuisence, aren't you?
Kyoto ,while sucking on her bottle, stops and smiles at him.
Kyo: *blushes, then smiles too* Your smile reminds me of her, Tohru I mean. You see... my mother never cared for me much...
Kyoto blinks, her big eyes focusing on Kyo.
Kyo: She never excepted the real me... nobody does... except her.
A long silence is between the two. Kyo breaks it by humming the Tohru's lullaby...

Kyoto falls asleep. Kyo smiles softly, then does the same.
Tohru*who is feeling better* peeps from her door at Kyo. A smile spreads across her face, then she goes back into the room and falls asleep.

Kyo walks into the kitchen. Tohru is cutting a carrot, the baby in on of those little carrier's on Tohru's back.

Kyoto:*pulling her arms out, trying to reach for Kyo* Kee-yo! Kee-yo!
Kyo is blushing. Tohru turns around at Kyo, smiling. Shigure and Yuki stop and look at the hyper Kyoto.
Shigure: Aww... I knew Kyo had a soft side!
Kyo: SHUT UP! She would have kept me awake all night, the annoying little nuisence.
Yuki: No need to raise your voice, you stupid cat.
Kyo: Damn rat!
Tohru: Kyoto... you want Kyo?
Kyoto giggles still reaching for him.
They hear a honk outside.
Tohru: It must be Arisa here to pick up Kyoto.
Kyo gasped. When Kyoto walked out the house, she kept crying out his name. That warm feeling touched his heart again. He places his hand on his heart, sweating.

The evening sky was a beautiful mix of orange and yellow. A huge sun setting on top of the hills. The Sohma family and Tohru are standing next to Arisa.
Arisa: Thanks for taking care of my little, Kyoto, you guys.

Shigure*tickles Kyoto's stoamch*: Yes, she wasn't THAT much of a handful. Bye Kyoto! We'll miss you!
*Kyoto spits up of Shigure's kimono again.*

Arisa looks at Kyoto, again smiling at Kyo. Kyo turns red and looks down.

*The Phone Rings Inside*
Shigure: I'll go get it.
He walks away. Yuki looks at Tohru and Kyo and follows, turning red in the face.
Arisa and Kyoto get into the car and leave. Tohru waves at them, Kyo still pouting.

Kyo looks at her, blushing.
Kyo: WHA... Umm... That was a once-in-a-life-time-deal!

He walks away. Yuki looks at Tohru and Kyo and follows, turning red in the face.
Arisa and Kyoto get into the car and leave. Tohru waves at them, Kyo still pouting.
Tohru: Kyo, I never knew you were so good with babies!
Kyo looks at her, blushing.
Kyo: WHA... Umm... That was a once-in-a-life-time-deal!
Tohru just stands their giggling.
Kyo turning redder pouts and looks away.

Shigure: WHAT?! But, I thought you said in the end of the year?!
*Voice*: I'm growing impatient, he's getting to close to that ugly, bothersome girl!
Shigure: SO YOU HAVE TO CHANGE IT FOR NEXT WEEK?!
*Voice*: My decision is decided. Good day, Shigure! *Hangs up*
Shigure put the phone down, a angry look on his face.
Shigure: Darn that Akito!
Yuki: What is it?
Shigure: They'll be taking him next week instead.
Yuki looks down. The back at Shigure.
Yuki: Shigure, do you notice that Kyo has been spending alot of time with Miss.Honda?
Shigure: Hmm? What about it? I thought you loved Machi?
Yuki: I do. But, everytime I see them together, I just get this feeling inside.
Shigure: *sigh* We'll have to wait until one of them has the courage to confess their feelings.
Yuki stand their, then walks to his room.
Yuki: Stupid cat.
