InuGirl: Sorry it took so long to write this chappy... I was grounded! Bad grades and obsession with the computer does not mix well, trust me!

Mae: Took you long enough, baka.

InuGirl: WAAAHH!! that's sooo mean!

Mae: Sooo... Who am I going to end up with?

InuGirl: Ayame.

Mae, Kyo, and Haru: WHAT?!

Ayame: But I want Shigure!

InuGirl: I was just joking! *holds hands up*

Mae: Fine.

InuGirl: Mae, please do the disclaimer.

Mae: Fine. InuGirl doesn't own any of the Fruits Basket characters and only owns me....

Daisuke was on the phone with her? But...he was in America....

"Um... wrong phone number!" Mae said, slamming the phone down. This was NOT good... where did he get the Sohma's phone number? It wasn't listed in the phone book... was it? But then he wouldn't know she was staying with the Sohma's unless someone told him... now who could that someone be?

"Hello!!" She heard Shigure's voice yell from down stairs. "Any one home??" he asked.

"Just me!" she yelled back.

"Okay!" Shigure yelled back at her. She walked downstairs.

"I'm gonna be out, okay?" she asked.

"Okay." Shigure said, looking at the new "Playboy" (Shigure you hentai!!! *slaps Shigure* Bad doggie!)

Mae walked out of the house just in time to see Kyo.

"Kyo..." she said, stopping in mid tracks.

"Mae... did you read the note?" he asked. she nodded. "Yea...well.... I'm sorry for everything..." he mumbled.

"Don't worry about it..." she answered, walking past him. He turned.

"Where are you going, it's dark out?" he asked, walking next to her.

"Get some fast food or something." she answered.

"Can I come?" he asked.

"Whatever." Mae answered, smiling at him.

`God, I love that smile.... Wait, where did THAT come from?!' he thought.

About 10 minutes later, they reached a fast food joint called, `Reiji's cooking'. They entered and sat at a table, not speaking. There were 4 chairs so Kyo and Mae sat across from one another. Just then, someone tapped Mae's shoulder. She looked up and saw Daisuke.

"D-Daisuke?" she stuttered. He smiled at her.

"Long time no see, baby doll." he said, sitting next to her. Since Kyo and herself were a chair away, she moved one chair closer to Kyo.

"Don't call me that!" she mumbled, looking at Kyo.

"Why not? You liked it when we were..." he was cut off by Mae slapping him.

"Well, I Don't like it now!" Mae yelled, running out of the fast food place, leaving a very confused Kyo and a stunned Daisuke behind her.

Mae ran, not really looking where she was going. Her eyes were full of tears as she slowed down to a walk. She heard footsteps behind her. She turned around and saw Haru stop and study her.

"Mae?" he asked, coming closer. "What happened?"

"I *sob* can't take *sob* this anymore!" she yelled, launching herself into Haru's arms. He sighed and hugged her close to him.

"Shh... don't cry..." he said, trying to sooth her. "Wanna come to my place tonight? I can make a bed on the couch so you can sleep on my bed..." (in this fanfic, Haru has his own house!)

"S-sure. *sob* " Mae mumbled, following Haru.

later that night, in Haru's bedroom (Haru's out on the couch!)

No matter how hard she tried, Mae couldn't go to sleep. She twisted and turned until she heard Haru go into the bathroom. About 2 minutes after that, she heard a flush and some running water. (btw, the bathroom is right next to his bathroom) She also heard him open the bathroom door.

"Haru..." she said, quietly. He walked into the room and said, "Close you eyes." She obeyed and he turned on a nearby lamp.

"Can't go to sleep?" he asked. She opened her eyes and saw he was only wearing boxers. She blushed. A smirk played on his lips.

"Y-yes..." she answered, tearing her eyes away from the boxers and up to his face. Suddenly, he laid her down and got up, turning off the lamp. She could feel him lift up the covers and slid in.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"Shh... go to sleep, love." he said, snaking a arm around her waist. She slowly fell into a deep sleep after that.

In the morning

Mae woke up to feel her body close to someone else's and what seemed to be a males. Then she remembered last night. She sighed and snuggled closer to Haru.

"So your awake." Haru said, opening his eyes. She nodded. "Good, now let's get something to eat.." he said getting up. He went into his closet and pulled out his usually wardrobe on day's off and put it on. "You know.... if you wanna, you can come live here with me.." he mumbled, looking at her. She was speechless. Her...living with Hatsuharu?

"H-how?" she managed to ask.

"Well, we can get another bed put in... and I don't really care what Shigure says..." he said. He walked over to her. "Please, will you move in with me?" he asked.

"Y-yeah.." she said, standing up. He smiled and hugged her. She was shocked at first but soon hugged him back.

"Mae, I-I love you." Haru whispered in her ear.

"Haru," she managed to say. "I love you, too." she finished her sentence when he pulled her chin up. He smirked and his lips went crashing onto hers. She could swear she heard fireworks. Then she realized his hands where on here hips.

"H-haru..." she mumbled. His answer was moving his lips down her neck.

"Haru...stop..." she mumbled. He looked up.

"Why?" he asked, pinning her into the wall.

"Not now, please..." she pleaded,

"Whatever." he said, walking into the bathroom.
