~*~ At The Main House~*~

Momiji walked as quietly as he could towards the head of the family's room. He didn't know how Akito would react once he told him what had to be done. It couldn't be helped though...

He knocked gently on the door and after he heard Akito's muffled voice softly say 'come in' he entered the room. Akito lay by the windowsill, staring out the window.

"Akito-sama," the usagi saod softly, and bowed, then looked up at the sick older boy.

"Yes. Did you find out anything?" he asked quietly, turning to look at the rabbit.

"Akito-sama. Yuki's still upset with you, but there's hope. You need to let Kyo out of the deal you made with him, the one about him getting locked up," Momiji said, almost as quiet as the other boy had talked.

Akito sighed and nodded, " I expected as much... I mean, if I need him to like me I can't very well look him up, can I?"

Momiji suddenly felt very stupid. Of course Akito-sama had realized that. He wasn't an idiot. He looked at the frail boy. They might not have much time...

"Then why haven't you told him?" Momiji asked, afraid that he would set off the anger of the head of the family, but he hadn't.

"I don't know. I'm afraid it's too late I suppose..." Akito voice seemed to get softer the more he spoke.

Momiji caustiously approached the head of the family and rubbed him back, an attempt to comfort him, " Don't worry. It's not too late."

Akito felt a little better as he saw the warm smile on the usagi's childish face. After what he had done to him, he found it in his heart to forgive, and even help him?

"What about the cat?" Akito asked suddenly, " He'll never forgive me, will he?"

Akito's heart fell when he saw that the smile on the rabbit's face had fallen, " That might be hard, but I'm sure he will," he said, soothingly.

Akito scoffed, " I'm sure," his words were full of sarcasm.

Momiji pouted, " Don't lose hope,"he said, a smile twinkling in his eyes, " You can do it! And I'll keep helping! Maybe I can convince Haru-chan to help," Momiji said the last part quietly, but then quickly added, " Only if it's alright to tell him though..."

Akito sighed, " If it will help, you can tell the whole damn house. As long as they won't tell. But be sure to tell me about the people you've told."

The rabbit nodded happily, " All right. No problem."

Momiji helped Akito up and into his bed. It seemed that this meeting had taken a lot of energy from him. The usagi didn't want to leave until he gave him one final bit of information.

"I talked to Yuki," the rabbit said in the doorway, before leaving, " He told me that if you were better than he forgive you."

With this last statement Momiji left, closing the door to Akito's room. Akito smiled to himself. Perhaps there was hope...

Hikari Nymph: I know I said I was making my Yami write it, then I saw what she was going to do to it. I had to put a stop to it.
