Little Sister

You're like a little sister me. I love you, I always have. Ever since I first held you when you were just a baby and I was a little kid, I have. Kisa, you're second in my heart and I'd do anything to protect you.

Why didn't you tell us what was going on at school? Were you afraid I'd go black? That I'd hurt someone? Kisa, I wouldn't do that, no matter how much I want to. You see, I want to protect you, help you. Just like a big brother should.

Did you think I'd be mad at you for not being able to stand for yourself? I'm not. I'm madder that you didn't trust me and tell me the truth. I love you like a little sister, like Momiji loves Momo. Only, I get to bond with you. I get to have fun and we play games, remember?

Remember the trip to the lake we all took three years ago? It was you and I, Momiji, Hiro, Hatori, Shigure, Yuki, and Kagura. You, Momiji Kagura, Hiro, and me would go and spend hours playing in the lake while Yuki watched from the shore. I do, and I think that was one of the last good times any of us had before Tohru.

That's right, you haven't met Tohru yet. Believe me little sis, when you open up, you'll like her, but for now, I need to keep on finding you. I have to find you before you get sick. Hey, what's that orange over there.

"Kisa!" I yell as I take off my coat and cover you in it. Who cares if I get sick? You're my little sister and it's my job to keep you safe. You're asleep, or trying to sleep anyways as I run to the nearest Sohma house, Shigure's. He'll let us in and get warm. He'll let us dry off and give us a place to stay for awhile.

Who just called my name? I turn and see Yuki and Tohru running towards me. It's okay little sister. I'm here to help. Just call me your big brother again like you used to. That'll make me happy. After all, you could always turn me from black Haru to white Haru every time.

A/N: Just a short Fruits Basket fic that kind of came to me as I watched episode 17 and how Haru interacted with Kisa. He reminded me of a big brother. I do not own.
