Fruits Basket Fan Fiction ❯ Raped Love ❯ Arrival ( Chapter 2 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Authoress Note: I put this under self insertion because even though I don't live the life of the character, she resembles me in every other possible way. This would basically be me if my family was dead and I lived with an abusive and perverted cousin. Just don't get the idea that I have been raped or abused or anything. I live a pretty good life.

Disclaimer: I don't own Fruits Basket or any reference to anything that already exists. Please don't sue me. My computer is my most valuable possession, and it's a piece of crap.

A/N: Ok, I got a review saying that their enjoyment factor was 10 out of 10, and that's enough motivation to keep me going. I was really hoping that someone, anyone, would like this. And they did. I'm confident that someone will eventually enjoy my stuff enough to actually read all of my stuff...like I do when I'm bored...but one fic is a good start. Anyways, on with the show!

Chapter Two: Arrival

When Savannah woke she was in a bed. But it wasn't hers. It was low to the ground, with white sheets and a very thin comforter. She sat up, looking around her. It seemed to be a doctor's office. Everything looked quite professional, except for a single photo on the shelf. Sitting at the desk was a man with brown hair, a bit on the shaggy side. She noticed that her pants had been pulled back up and her shirt was neat again.

At that moment the man turned around and noticed she was up. He had a few locks of hair over his left eye. This was odd, seeing as that would block someone's vision.

"Good, you're awake," he said in a deep voice. "Don't worry, I had a girl fix you up."

Savannah let out a breath that she hadn't realized she was holding. Why had that mattered? Why did she think of that at a time like this? Wait, what time was it?

She would have asked if she hadn't lost her voice from screaming. All that came out when she tried was a scratchy sound.

"Ah. I see you've lost your voice. You're probably wondering where you are. This is the Sohma Family property. I am Dr. Sohma, but I don't mind being called by my first name, Hatori. We found you last night somewhere in the woods. By `we' I actually mean `he'. Kyo Sohma, one of my cousins, found you unconscious while he was walking to the house he stays in a little ways away. He immediately ran to the house to get the only female there, and told Shigure, my other cousin and the adult at the house, to call me. Kyo told him that he had found a girl, or you. Tohru put your clothing back on and then Kyo picked you up and brought you here. I put you in one of the patient's beds, seeing as you were my patient. You woke up, and thus I began my story."

Savannah nodded, wishing she could talk. She was a very talkative person, normally, and the inability to speak made her feel awkward. The expression on her face must have given it away to Hatori, because he then said, "Would you like a piece of paper and a pen? To write things down, I mean."

Savannah nodded again. Hatori opened a drawer in the desk and got out a piece of paper and took a pen out of a can on his desk. He then handed them to Savannah, who immediately started to scrawl something down.

Hatori waited patiently for her to finish. When she did, she handed the paper back to him. It read, "What city am I in? I can barely understand you and I don't remember any woods."

"Nagano." (A/N: I don't know what city it takes place in, so I took one that I knew existed. So sue me. Not literally, please. *Sweatdrop.*) Hatori said this out loud. It would be faster that way.

Savannah grabbed the piece of paper and hastily wrote something. "As in Japan?"

"Of course," answered Hatori. He thought that since she was writing in Japanese, however sloppy, that was where she was from. (A/N: Ok, I can't actually speak or write in Japanese, but how else am I gonna communicate with them?)

Now Savannah had a worried look on her face. She quickly scribbled an answer.

"But I live in America!!!"

Hatori raised his eyebrows. Had she hit her head? No, he had checked for any bruises, and though there were quite a view on her shoulders and legs, nothing was on her head. "What do you remember before you woke up?"

Savannah had to think for a second before writing this time. "I remember I was, um, watching an anime, and then my cousin came in. Er, what happened there isn't important. Anyways, I remember that the rain all of the sudden got harder and that there was a lot of lightning. Then there was a flash. And that's it."

"So you were in your home in America, and there was a flash, presumably from lightning? And then you woke up?"

She nodded. This worried Hatori. How would she have gotten to Japan from America? Unless the cousin she spoke of had a private jet, it was highly unlikely that she had been flown.

Suddenly Savannah recognized Hatori. She grabbed the paper and suddenly smiled a bit, writing as fast as she could. "You're from the anime I was watching on TV!"

"What?" asked Hatori. That was totally irrelevant. And anyway, weren't animes cartoons? "I am not on a cartoon, as far as I know."

"But," she wrote hurriedly, "You're one of the main characters! You're a seahorse, or dragon of the sea, in the Chinese Zodiac! Shigure's the dog, Kyo's the cat, Yuki's the rat, and Momiji's the rabbit. I know there're more people, but I don't wanna write them all down. I know who you are! You're on the anime Fruits Basket!!!"

Hatori was speechless. How could this girl that they had just met know about the curse? If she was from America, she wouldn't know Tohru. Was there somehow a way that the secret had leaked? But all the way to America? "How do you know this?"

"I told you," she scribbled, "You're on the anime Fruits Basket. I didn't recognize you at first because I was in shock. But I'm sure you're from there."

Hatori stood up. "Come with me."

She had a worried look on her face as she wrote, "We're not going to Akito, are we?"

At this Hatori was again at a loss for words. How did she know about Akito? If one of the family members, or even Tohru, had told the secret, they would have left out Akito just because of fear of him.

"Unfortunately so," was his answer, grabbing her hand to help her get up. She took it, but her eyes were full of her as she stood. Once she was upright, he let go and picked up the phone. So that she wouldn't have to get the piece of paper, he explained. "I'm calling Shigure. It's better to have someone to hold back Akito and protect you if he gets angry."

Savannah nodded in understanding. Hatori explained over the phone. It seemed that Kyo must have noticed Shigure's sudden seriousness at his house, for Hatori said, "He can come to, if he wishes. He might want to check on her. He was the one that found her." A few seconds later he said goodbye and hung up.

"We will wait for them to arrive before we see Akito. You may sit down if you want to."

Savannah acknowledged that they were waiting, but didn't sit down. She instead went and looked at the picture on the shelf. She grabbed the piece of paper and pen and wrote something down.

"Do you miss Kana? I mean, I know you probably do. I guess what I wanna ask is if you wish you hadn't suppressed her memories?"

Hatori was shocked, but this time it didn't last as long. "I do miss her. But I had to suppress her memories. She was dying inside."

"That's not what I asked," wrote Savannah. "I asked if you wished you hadn't."

"I wish that she didn't think she was responsible. But since I couldn't control her, I do not regret making that pain disappear."

Savannah nodded, seemingly accepting the answer. She then sat down on the bed until there was a knock at the door.

Hatori answered the door and was surprised that it wasn't only Shigure and Kyo standing there, but Yuki and Tohru as well.

"They wanted to know if she was ok. So, how are you, young lady?" asked Shigure, explaining the extra guests, but still not knowing her name.

"She lost her voice somehow," said Hatori. Savannah flipped the piece of paper over and wrote a hasty answer.

"I'm ok, I think. It's lucky that Kyo found me. I would hug him, but I don't wanna turn him to transform and get mad."

When she showed them the piece of paper, Yuki, Tohru, and Kyo had the same speechlessness as Hatori had at first.

"She also, somehow, knows the secret," Hatori explained.

Kyo suddenly went from shock to anger. "How the Hell do you know?! Where did you find out? Did that damn Momiji tell you?"

Savannah hurriedly shook her head and scrawled another answer. "You guys are on my favorite anime." That shocked everyone except Hatori, who had read that answer before. Suddenly Savannah smiled and then wrote something else. "You're even hotter in real life than on TV, Kyo."

The cat blushed slightly before yelling at her again. "I am not some damn cartoon! Tell me where you really found out!" he yelled.

Savannah covered her ears and shrugged.

"She's sticking to her story," said Hatori. (A/N: Heh, that rhymed.)

"Well, we better get to Akito. He might have heard the commotion," said Shigure.

"Yes, that seems the best thing to do," Hatori answered. Everyone acknowledged this and Hatori led the way out of the office to Akito's room. Savannah grabbed Kyo's hand and hugged his arm. He had a similar reaction as when Yuki leaned on him when he was half asleep. Despite his efforts to push her off, her grip held fast, and so she was attached to his arm when the got to Akito's suite.

"Can you get the Hell off of me?" asked Kyo. Savannah looked up at him and made pouty lips and puppy dog eyes. Had he been Shigure, that would have melted him and he would have given up. But Kyo was not the dog, and so he continued to try to push the girl off of him.

"Please be quiet when we get into the room. Akito doesn't like loud noises."

This stopped Kyo and Savannah. Her reaction was slower than his, and so he took advantage of her temporary shock and pushed her off. Savannah whimpered.

Hatori pushed open the door to find Akito waiting for them.

"Well what do we have here?"

A/N: Sorry this took so long to get up. I got a guinea pig recently and she needs attention. But that's ok cuz she's cute as anything. Anyways, if you're here you've probably read. Now to complete the r/r, you should review. Please oh please review!!!
