Chapter One: Exchange Student

"Master Caine, are you sure you want to go to Kaiba High?"

"Yes, don't you think its time the unknown one reunites with the Sohmas?"

"Hai…"

"Good morning!" Tohru said cheerfully, placing a large plate full of food on the table in front of him.

"What's this?" Kyo asked, looking at the mountains of sausages, bacon, fried tomatoes, fried potatoes, fried eggs, fried bread… a pattern emerging here.

"It's an All English Breakfast." She exclaimed, still holding a spatula in her hand, "I found the idea in one of the cook books I borrowed out the library." She smiled, heading back into the kitchen and bringing in Shigure's breakfast, along with a jug full of orange juice and glasses.

Kyo stared at the food for a minute before grinning, "Cool," and began to stuff his face.

"Hmm, where's Yuki?" Tohru asked while pouring some orange juice into Shigure's glass.

"Probably still sleeping, that damn mouse is either awake now grumbling how much he detest mornings, or in bed dozing off," And with that Kyo continued to stuff his face in the pile of food.

"Stupid cat, can't you even you even start the day without saying any rubbish," Yuki replied, while he walked into the room. Hair sticking out in various direction.

"Why? You want a piece of me?" Kyo started to stand up with his fist waving in the air. However before he could even reach to a full height, Kyo was sent immediately crashing to the nearest wall, leaving a large hole in it.

"(Sigh) Yuki don't you start demolishing the house again, I just finish rebuilding the house from shambles last week. And Tohru my cup is overflowing with juice." Shigure said behind the newspaper.

"Huh?" Tohru snapped out of her daze from starring at the fight displayed in front of her. Realizing what Shigure just said, she immediately went to the kitchen to fetch a cloth.

"Stupid cat.," "Damn bloody mouse," Both Yuki and Kyo cursed in unison while they pull themselves away from each other.

It was the start of their senior year in Kaiba High, Tohru was excited from anticipating events and surprises this year would hold. Just the year before she had learned the Sohmas' curse, about how that each member of the family turns into their zodiac sign when hugged by the opposite sex, and Kyo's true form.

Humming the tune of a song, Tohru walk to school together with Kyo and Yuki beside her, not noticing a shadow lurking behind the bushes was watching their every move……

"Look, there's Hana, Uo with Momiji and Haru!" Tohru exclaimed excitedly. "Since we have a few minutes to spare, why don't we go and greet them!" Tohru suggested while she made her way to a large sakura tree which was providing shade for the occupants beneath it.

"We would have made earlier to school, if Prince Yuki here didn't have a group of fan girls asking to go out with him very minute," Kyo grumbled, kicking a pebble nearby.

"It isn't my fault if those irritating girls decided to chase me," Yuki calmly stated.

" Yeah right…" Kyo sarcastically added then mumbled something about Yuki and his girly look.

Students started to stroll into their respective classroom as the school bell rang, waiting in their seats for the teacher to come. However in a certain class namely 2-D wasn't like this. Hana was seated next to Tohru, trying to perm her hair. Uo is making fun of Kyo and his carrot coloured head. And poor Yuki is trying to ignore a group of fan girl in his class, for each of them have a predatory glint in their eyes, warning everyone who would dare to come near their Prince Yuki.

During this time their teacher came walking in, followed by a certain smiling student with fair colored hair that is tied neatly at the end and amazingly jaded emerald orbs behind those wired frame glasses. However with her ever so smiling face those orbs were always covered, only a tinge of green could be spotted.

"Okay class, please settle down. Today we have a new student joining us today, she's an exchange student from New York and her name is Cai…"

"…Akisawa Sohma," Akisawa suddenly spoke, the smile never seem to disappear from her face.

Whispers soon filled the class and there were even few hands raising up as well.

" Did you say you were Prince Yuki's cousin?" A fan girl asked excitedly from her seat.

"Who?" Akisawa asked confusingly shaking her head. "I do not know anyone in Japan, let alone in this school," Akisawa replied politely and continued smiling.

Soon after class, news about the new exchange student being a Sohma and not know anything about Prince Yuki and the other Sohmas in the school spread like a wild fire in the forest.

During break time, Tohru and the others were seated under their usual spot beneath the sakura tree, eating and playing cards. And since Tohru, being the ever so considerate person, spotted Akisawa under another sakura tree nearby was all alone, she decided to invite her to seat with them.

"Hi! My name is Tohru, and this are my friends, Yuki, Kyo, Hana, Uo, Haru and Momiji." Introducing the others.

"Hello, my name is Akisawa Sohma, nice to meet you all" she bowed smiling.

Momiji was the first to speak, being the hyperactive rabbit, "So you're really a Sohma? That's so COOL!" Bouncing around shaking Akisawa's hand. "I'm also a Sohma, and so are Haru, Yuki and Kyo!"

"Really?" Akisawa asked with an amused smile. Then turning to face Yuki, "So you must be Prince Yuki everyone's talking about," she added.

"Err…..yes….I mean no, I'm just Yuki.." For some reason he felt intimidated in front of Akisawa. Though they just met, there was something bugging him. It was like they have met before but knowing that was impossible, Yuki just tried to shrug off the feeling. Thinking that he was just being paranoid, Yuki averted his attention back to the conversation that was before him.

"So…. You're a girl huh?" Uo asked walking around Akisawa, glancing from top to toe.

"Sure don't look like to me."

The fact that Akisawa is tall and is wearing a guy's uniform, plus the look she has that confuses people whether she's a girl or boy, just like Yuki.

"Neither do you, tomboy….." Kyo mumbled under his breath.

"You wanna fight carrot head?" Uo asked, slamming her fist at Kyo before he could dodge, while the rest just stared at them blankly as they fought.

School passed quickly that day for the trio without much trouble, unless you count the number of times Haru try to kiss or hug Yuki, otherwise the day passed quite eventful.

"Man what has been with him today? Did you swallow a Haru Magnet or something?" Kyo teased, as he, Tohru and Yuki walked home that afternoon.

"Be quiet you stupid cat." was Yuki's response as he walked on slightly ahead of the others.

 "You know," pondered Tohru, "Haru has been acting very affectionately today."

"It's annoying." Yuki said, half lying as he started to walk a little faster with his head slightly lowered to hide yet another blush that had arisen.

It wasn't long before they reached Shigure's house. Walking towards the clearing, they noticed a black limo parked outside the porch. Curious, Tohru opened the paper door and inside revealed a certain smiling fair headed one.
