Fruits Basket Fan Fiction ❯ Starlight ❯ Starlight ( Chapter 2 )

A few miles away from their school was a young girl, the age of 14, sitting by her window. Her long, dark, blue hair was flying in the wind as she stared out her window. Her blue eyes stared into the sky and looked at the clouds passing by. She lived by herself in a mansion with her butler. Her blues eyes were shining in the sunlight as she continued to stare at the sky. She suddenly sat up in her chair when she saw someone with white hair running past her mansion. She got up and ran downstairs quickly. She grabbed her coat and ran outside trying to chase that person. She didn't know why she was running after him but her legs chased after the person anyways. That person was a young man with white hair and black hair roots. He ran fast towards the woods. She followed him as fast as she could. When he ran into the woods, she stopped running and walked slowly towards that person.

She heard a sniff and someone crying softly by a large tree. She walked near the tree and saw that young man sitting on the floor with his hands covering his face and crying out loud. She slowly reached down to touch his shoulder. He shuddered at the touch of her fingers. A bright glow was illuminating her hand.

“Are you alright?” she asked him with her soft and gentle voice. He looked up to see a girl with long dark blue hair and light blue eyes. She was wearing a long white dress. He almost thought that she looked like an angel that fell from the sky. They stared into each others eyes for a long time. It seemed like eternity until the young man muttered something and then he collapsed onto the ground floor of the woods. She kneeled next to his body and touched his soft hair. His face looked peaceful and calm. When she stood up she muttered a word under her breath and they both ended up in her bedroom. She laid him onto her bed and left her room.

She had to lean against the wall because she had used up too much of her energy. She walked to her library and opened the large, red door. Inside this room was a big red leather book. The book was on a long podium floating in the air.

“Restore my energy,” she yelled as soon as she closed the heavy door behind her and a blue light shined throughout the room.

In her room was the young man sleeping as he was dreaming about that girl. He was wearing his clothes in his dream that he had worn when the girl found him. He looked around at the surrounding soon figuring out that he must be in a forest. Large trees stood beside him and he just stood there staring at the sky.

“Haru…” said a sudden voice to him. The voice was calm and coming from above him but he didn't see anything.

“Haru…” the voice said again but this time it came from behind him and he jumped around to find the girl that he saw in the forest before he fainted. She walked closer to him and soon he realized that she had a pair of white wings behind her.

“Who are you?” he asked awed at what he saw.

“I am Starlight. Come with me,” she said as she reached her hand out to him. He took her hands and soon they were off the ground. They were flying in the air even though Haru didn't know how he was flying. The wind blew in Haru's face as they soared through the sky. He felt calm and relaxed when someone called his name again.

“Haru!” the voice said.

“Starlight, did you call my name?” he asked the flying angel that was beside him. There was no response from her.

“Starlight…” Haru called her name.

“Haru!” the voice said again. Suddenly, everything turned to darkness as he was pulled up into the sky as if a hand was pulling him out of the sky.

“What the…?” Haru started before he woke up from his dream. Haru opened his eyes to see that he was on a bed and beside him was the girl from his dream. She was sitting in a chair and was sleeping on the side of the bed next to him. He looked at her for a moment and sat up on the bed, trying to figure out what had happened.

“Are you awake?” a voice asked. Haru turned his head to see the girl awaken and sitting up in her chair. She had dark, long, blue hair and looked very cute.

“Who are you?” Haru asked the young girl.
