Chapter 2 - The Truth Comes Forth
He gives me another stare and I can see the sweat forming on his fore-head.
"What do you know?"
"I know about the curse and that Akito..." I whisper into his ear, "Akito is
God." The tension in the air is too much. "Come on Momiji-san, it's nothing
to worry about." I try to smile and grab his hand to pull us along.
"But does Akito know?" he gaspes.
"No, but what does it matter? He won't find out right?" I say this,
but really that's not how it is at all. Akito will find out, and what happens then?
Soon enough the mood is changed as we reach Shigure's house. It's
so beautiful, surrounded by trees and green plants. I'm welling up with so much
excitement, I can't contain myself. "Come on Momiji-san let's go!!! Hahaha!" I
yell and dance around with joy. "Happy Happy Jo-" I'm cut off as a figure stands
in front of me and I fall after bumping into it.
"Tohruuu~~~!" Momiji squeals and leaps up.
"Ack!" She screams and it seems there's so much noise and commotion. I think
that was my fault. So now I'm faced with a blushing girl, a rabbit and a cloud
of smoke. So where do I begin? Tohru puts Momiji down on her lap and her eyes
finally meet mine.
"Oh no! I'm so sorry...I should've introduced myself." she starts babbling. I laugh,
"No really it's okay. I will introduvce myself first.-"
"No! You have to introduce yourself when we get inside. I'm Torhu Honda and
it's a pleasure to meet you." She bows and Momiji is showered in brown hair.
As we get inside, I take off my shoes and my heart starts pounding again.
Urgh...it's going to burst out of my chest if I'm not careful. I've already met one
bishie today, can I take any more? "The living room's through here - I told the boys
to stay there so you could get to know them." She smiles and leads me and Momiji
through. I want to walk in with my eyes closed and open them like it's a surprise birthday
party.
"Hi there, you must be Miruza-kun right?" I'm suddenly met by and hand sprouting from
a bamboo-patterned yukata. My face turns scarlet and this has not happened many times
before. I'm going to faint, I just know it.
"That's right! I'm Miruza Sohma and it's great to meet you at last! Shigure-san yes?" I say
this all very quickly to try and get a chance for my blush to wear off. I grab the hand in front
of me and shake it vigorously. Now to check out the face - well well...just how I imagined.
"Um, would you mind if I had my hand back please?" he says. I look down to see I'm
still jiggling his hand up and down.
"Oh yes, I'm sorry!" Great, my blush is making it's way back to my cheeks again.
"Please sit down, make yourself at home. I'm sure Yuki-kun and Kyo-kun would like to
say hello. I find a spot on the sofa next to Momiji and peer over at the other two.
"Hello there Sohma-san. It's great to meet you, I'm Yuki Sohma." smiles the silver
-haired boy.
"Oh please, call me Miruza. It sounds too weird being called Sohma-san. It's nice to
meet you though, I hope we can be good friends." I then turn my eyes to the vibrant red
hair and eyes that belong to the other. "So you're Kyo-kun right? Well, I hope we can be
friends too. Put it there pal!" I laugh and hold out a hand, Kyo groans and puts his hand
out.
"I know," Tohru says, "I'll go and make us all some tea. D'you like tea Miruza-san?"
"I love tea! Tell you what, you make me some proper japanese tea and I'll make us
all some English tea at breakfast tommorow! Deal?" I smile at Torhu.
"Deal!" She smiles back and for the first time, I feel right at home. What could
possibly spoil this feeling?
BRRRRIIIIIIIINNNGGGGGBRRRRIIIIIINNNNGGGG!
"Ah, I'll get that!" Shigure says as he gets up and sprints towards the phone. I try to listen
to the conversation, praying that it's not Akito.
"Right...really?...well sure...that's fine by me...you havn't told Akito have you?...okay
then!... see you in a minute! Bai Bai!"
"Who was that?" Yuki asks. "As long as you didn't just invite my brother round, I'll spare
your life." I look over at Shigure, who is sweat-dropping. He laughs and his
expression changes to a smile.
"No fear Yuki-kun. If anyone should be worried it should be Kyo." He looks over and Kyo
scowls.
"No...you didn't...not her!" He growls. Yes, I think to myself, tonight could be
very interesting.
((Okay, how's that for a second chapter? Hehe, I hope the fact it's in Present Tense
isn't too bad. Sometimes I forget it is and then I have to go and change all the verb
endings. The next chapter will be written when I get enough time. What a life we have.))
