Tohru picked herself up, and then ran downstairs to think, still crying. She thought Kyo loved her! But he didn't.

Tohru made a decision. She would be strong. She would ignore Kyo, and would be happy without him.

Just then she heard Kagura leaving from the roof, and Kyo run downstairs.

“Tohru! I'm so sorry!” he cried. Tohru didn't even look at him.

“Please Tohru….please….” Kyo wailed. “You can't leave me…..” said Kyo.

Tohru looked up briefly, and he eyes told him that she was disgusted with him.

Kyo's maroon eyes open wide, and ran out the room in tears.

Just then the phone rang. Tohru picked up the phone, and said, “Hello! This is Tohru at the Sohma's house! How may I help you?”

A malicious voice said, “Dearest Tohru, please join me for tea today! I have a preposition for you!”

Tohru's face was frozen with fear.

It was Akito!

“Yes, Akito-san, I will be there.” Stuttered Tohru.

“I thought so.” Said Akito.

Then the dial tone.

Tohru had to be strong. She will face Kyo. And Akito. She won't mourn over anything now. She will change.

Tohru washed her face, put on a clean outfit, and was normal when Yuki walked in.

“Hello, Honda-san.” He said.

“Hello, Yuki-kun! I'm…going to visit Uo-chan, okay? There's food in the fridge.” Said Tohru. It hurt her to lie, but she had to do it.

“Okay,” said Yuki. He smiled at her.
She smiled back.

Some time later

Tohru walked to Akito's house. She took a deep breath, and knocked. A silky voice said,

“Ah, Tohru! Please come in! Join me for tea!”

Tohru gulped and walked in.

“A-Akito-san?” she said.

“Yes. Now, let's talked about that preposition. You have your memory erased, and I will do some things for you.” He said, his dark eyes glinting.

“Wha-what? Well, um, ma-maybe….” Tohru said, her blue eyes open in confusion and fright.

“You see, my dear Tohru-kun,” Akito said, “I would let Kyo not be confined, not put Yuki by my side, and generally be nicer to all Sohma's.”

Tohru was shocked. This was an opportunity! She hated Kyo-kun, and now she could have her memories erased, with helping all the Sohma's! This is too good to be true.

“Ho-how will I kn-know you will keep your promise, Akito-san?” said Tohru.

“My dear Tohru,” came the drawling voice, “Have you ever heard of the Blood Promise?”

“No, Akito-san.” Said Tohru, her voice less shaky.

“Well, It means if I prick you with blood, and prick me with blood, and have our blood mingle, and I say the promise, it can never be broken, or I die!” he said.

This was the truth. No one was quite sure why, but it was true.

Akito, the head, looked at Tohru.

“So, my little girl, will you agree to the proposition I made?” he said.

Tohru had her head bowed.
“Yes, Akito-san. I will have my memory erased.”

They preformed the ceremony correctly, and Tohru had a tiny drop of blood mingled with Akito. And, it was going to be the way Tohru had wanted it to be. Him being nice, Kyo not confined, and Yuki not be by Akito's side.

“Good! Now that the ceremony is over, lets get Hatori!” said Akito, who knew Hatori was nearby.

“HATORI! COME HERE!” Akito bellowed.

“Yes, Akito-sama, what is it?” said Hatori. His eyes widened at the sight of Tohru, but he couldn't say anything in front of Akito.

“Erase this girl's memories.” Akito said.

Hatori gasped.

Tohru nodded her head.

“Okay, I w-will do it…” he whispered.

“Good, my little dragon.” Akito said.

Hatori went over to Tohru.

“I'm sorry” he whispered to her.

He closed his eyes, and she closed her eyes, too.

A lone tear slid down Hatori's cheek.

He put his hand on her head and concentrated.

There was a bright flash and Tohru was flung backwards.

Hatori lay there before picking her up and laying her in a more comfortable position.

He was depressed.

“Hatori, how long does it take before she wakes up?” Akito said.

“About five days.” He whispered back.

“Then see she is in a comfortable place to live in. But first I will tell why she had her memories erased.” Said Akito.

Hatori sat down.

But before speaking with Akito, he took one last glance at Tohru.

She must have cried before she erased her memories, because her face was streaked with tears.

Then another tear came down Hatori's face.
