UNREGRETABLE MISTAKES
A Fruits Basket Fanfic
Written by Miyu, Vampire Princess
AUTHOR'S NOTE: This story was actually written without a particular fandom in mind. And I had a difficult time choosing one in the end. But here you have it. Warning for lemon content! And the pairing is a surprise! No spoilers to mention, just a situation of my own devise. A Standard Disclaimer follows the piece.
Screaming seemed like the best thing to do. But the walls were thin and the entire house would awaken. That wouldn't do at all, to let others know what was going on. Not when this was meant for one person in particular.
And she knew he would hardly care.
But she still had to get the ugly image of _them_ out of her head.
"Harder. Push...ah...harder.... Onegai!"
He was already moving as fast as he could, yet the tempo seemed to increase. Leaning downward a little more, she felt the friction she desired. She sighed as she felt the head of his erection bumping into a certain spot with each thrust. Her body grew warmer, the images in her mind becoming a blur. Body shaking from each pounding thrust, she grunted, pushing against him. Fire built low in her belly, but it still wasn't enough.
"Oh kami-sama...."
"Should I move faster?"
"Y-yes-s...and deeper.... Go de-deeper."
That required a change in position. Easily done as he lifted her into a loose embrace. She moaned at the initial change, her body shivering happily. Sitting with her back to his chest, each movement was punctuated with a particular brush against her nerve endings.
She controlled the pace now, her body attempting to push him deeper. Kisses trailed along her shoulder. Hands molded her breasts. The building of pleasurable sensation willed her legs to keep time with the rhythm. The image in her mind started to turn gray as pleasure swept her senses.
"I don't know how much longer I can last."
"Just a...ah...little...m-more...."
The wait was not long. Darkness filled her vision before an explosion of white made her blind. Fire poured into her limbs, the heat covering her entire body. She moaned as no words could be formed. She simply clung to her partner until he had found his pleasure in her.
As the heat began to fade, she realized that she was lying on her side, his body pressed against her back. Arms heavy with exhaustion held her close. She took solace in the embrace, hoping that what had just transpired hadn't been a mistake on her part. She was hurting so much already. The last thing she wanted was to hurt him, too.
"What brought all this on?"
She couldn't possibly tell him. It wasn't right. And what she saw...her chest tightened at the memory. The most impossible of things! An occurrence she never thought possible, despite the circumstances.
There had been an argument. She had called him an insensitive jerk. He had said that he never wanted to look at her again. Many heated, angry words had been exchanged and they had parted ways as enemies. Pain stronger than anything she'd ever felt gripped her heart. How would she deal with it?
When she went to his room later, an apology ready to give, it appeared that he had already dealt with the pain. No, no, don't remember, she willed her brain. Don't think about their entwined arms and heated embrace. Don't think about her legs wrapped around his middle. Don't think about the sound of his body against hers.
But she did.
Because she just happened to stand there and watch.
Until he looked her directly in the eye while the girl beneath him screamed his name.
That's when her heart couldn't take anymore.
She ran away crying. Not a proud moment by any means, but there was just no other way to vent her anger, frustration and sadness. Their argument had been heated, their words cruel. And though she knew he had meant to hurt her, never did she think he'd go to the lengths he did.
How could he?!? And with...with HER! She would never be able to look at her as anything other than a housekeeper. A home wrecker!
A heartbreaker.
"You're crying. Did I hurt you?"
She shook her head. "No." He hadn't hurt her. In fact he'd taken great care of her. Not at all like _he_ used to. Forceful, yet gentle. The love she had known had not been that way in a long time.
"_He_ did something to hurt you, didn't he?"
She nodded, his arms wrapping tighter around her shaking form. She felt comfortable in his embrace, warmed by his sincerity and closeness. But that horrible image would not leave her alone.
"Don't worry, Kagura. I won't let Kyo hurt you anymore."
"Yuki...."
The tears fell faster at his declaration. Her body shook with sobs. All the while he held her close, whispering words of love and encouragement in her ear. A kiss punctuated each promise he made. Each emotion he expressed. Then he captured her lips and she knew that going to him had not been a mistake. That her life was not ending.
It was just beginning.
