“I HATE YOU!!!!! Why won’t you DIE, you stupid girl? I wish I had never given birth to you. It’s your fault he left me. ALL YOUR FAULT. JUST DIE NO ONE WANTS YOU ANY WAY!!!” Said a faint voice on the verge of dying. The middle aged woman glared at her fourteen year old daughter with hatred. She knew what her daughter had done to her and she hated her even more for it. The woman could feel her life slipping away from her and even then the only emotion she felt for her only child was hatred, so it seemed even that would not change in her battle with death. She wasn’t surprised.

“I know mama. I know that you want me dead and that you hate me. But you’re wrong there are others who want me to live a long life. So for the sake of them you’re the one that has to die not me. I’m sorry mama. But I hate you too.” The young girl turned and left her dying mother on the bed with out a second thought, for a few minutes, before she came back to check on her just to make sure she was dead.

Looking in through the door way the young girl saw that her mother was indeed dead and she sighed in relief. She was finally free and now she could go back. She could go back to where her heart truly was at home. The teenager felt a tug at her hand and looked down at the child.

“Is Misa-san dead, mommy?” Kneeling down to her daughter she smiled at the five year olds’ face and cupped it in her hands.

“Yea my darling she is gone and nothing can bring her back. I’m sorry you had to live with her like you did. Now we can go live with Riku and Aaron just like we planned. Doesn’t that sound great?! I’m so sorry about this. I love you so much. Much more than I ever hated her. Stay here I need to call someone to get rid of the body. I’m sorry for involving you in this my little Koneko.” The sadness that she felt for involving her daughter, dissolved when her Koneko smiled the brightest smile she had in a very long time.

The young girl picked up the phone and called the police. “Hello I just walked into my house and I just found my mother dead. Uh…huh yea I know I sound calm. No we didn’t get along but I had no reason to kill or hurt her if that’s what you’re thinking. Ok, yea I’ll wait here till they show up.” Hanging up the phone she looked at it for a moment before she picked it up and dialed her friend’s number.

“Hey girl, yea. I’m free now so come on over. I have to answer some questions for a while though so if you don’t mind waiting then come on over now. Yea sure, I’ll make some tea you two. Alright love ya, see ya soon. Buh bye.”

The child watched as her mommy once again set the phone down and stared at it. It seemed like forever before they heard the police arrive with their sirens on and along with them came the paramedics to see if they could revive her mother. Then the doorbell rang symbolizing the arrival of the police onto her property.

The young teen went and answered the door appropriately when the police asked, “Miss Taichii Megami? May we please have admission into your house?” Taichii nodded and let the police in. Her friends showed up at that moment and also entered the house.

The now free teenager closed the door with a smile on her face. “So it begins. Yuki I’m coming back just like I promised I would. I hope you have waited for me.”

Thank you for reading my first fruits basket fic. I’m not quite sure the exact pairings yet but I do know that there will be yaoi and yuri. And I also know that one of the yuri pairings is going to be Tohru x Kagura. Never seen that pairing myself but hey I like making up pairings. RxR thankies a lot. Other chapters might take longer.
