First time he laid his eyes on that wet child with the broken straw doll, he knew her fate was. Death. Living the Death. His dead Servant. That was her fate. He was demon after all and he took what was not his.

 

He welcomed her in his dry cavern, a barrier from rain. His toad servant knew his motive was and is strongly against it. Wise toad, that one, yet he punished him without a thought.

 

He looked at the child's sleeping face, he see the soiled innocence in it. Poor, pitiful child. She had seen too much.

 

When she had died into the fire, he freed his beast and allowed it to did as it likes. He barely remembered taking the lives of the pathetic murderers and felt their blood on his claws. He barely remembered bring the burnt, crisp corpse of the child back to the living world as dead, as his dead servant.

 

No, she wasn't a zombie or ghoul of some sort. She was merely… a ghost. A ghost with the walking body that shall rotten…

 

What can he say? He was a demon king and the demons are greedy and selfish. They will always grab things that wasn't their.
