“Do you think she's dead?”

“CHECK HER POCKETS FOR MONEY!”

“Yeah!”

“No, trust me I checked she doesn't have any.”

“You checked?”

“No! Maybe! Yes…”

“You guys are troublesome.”

“You're not allowed to say that!”

“Look guys I think she's stirring.” Alexis groaned and opened her eyes, blinking away the darkness. Sitting up she held a hand to her head looking around at the group.

“What happened?” She asked squinting against the sun. Alex hit her upside the head.

“You idiot! You screamed and nearly gave me a heart attack. We came back to find out passed out in Inuwashu or whatevers arms.”

“INUYASHA!” He barked.

“Yeah whatever, keep your cool dog boy.” Alex grumbled.

“Dog boy?” Alexis asked looking up at Inuyasha. Two dog ears, like the one in her vision. Wait, they were real?!?! “Alex, you see the dog ears right…?”

“Yeah… They freaked me out right after they appeared.”

“When?” Alexis asked confused.

“Right after you fainted.” Inuyasha cut in from behind her.

“Oh yeah… I saw you… You looked like you stepped out of ancient Egypt… then someone tapped my shoulder. It was that girl I've seen, she had on my amulet….”

“REALLY! YOU DID!” Alex nearly screamed. Alexis nodded shakily.

“She looked like me in Egyptian… Almost an exact replica.”

“Well I do admit your face is scary when it catches you off guard…”

“WHAT!” Alexis cried.

“Nothing!” Alex replied innocently.

“What scared you?” Anne asked.

“There was a hole… in my stomach, and I watched myself…as I died…” The room was silent.

“That IS a strange dream… Probably freak me out.” Alex agreed along with the other two.

“What if it wasn't a dream? What would you do?” Inuyasha asked innocently.

“Is this the part where you tell us we are magical princesses reborn to save the world?” Anne sighed.

“Precisely.” All the girls burst out laughing except Whitney.

“Guys, stop, maybe they are telling the truth.” Whitney said sternly.

“Whitney, don't tell me you believe this bull crap. Come on, do you actually think that we would be reborn to save the world? Admit it all this ancient Egypt is getting to your head.” Alexis reasoned.

“What if its not?”

“Whitney, you always dream something like this would happen right? So why wouldn't your mind want to see things to try to prove it true? We are ordinary girls set out here to study. Besides this is the REAL world. There is no magic.” Anne agreed.

“Then explain the dog ears.” Whitney pointed out angrily.

“Probably implants connected to central nerves in the brain to make them move. He can't intentionally move them a specific way.” Alexis replied simply/

“Yes I can!” Inuyasha cried.

“Ok point them forward.” He complied. “Flat.” Again it worked. “Move them to a beat.” Sure enough he did moving them all directions. “Okay so he can, he is skilled. My point is everything has an explination.”

“Then what about the plant in your room?” Ed asked.

“That was….Wait….Who told you about that?”

“I have the power of sight, I can see the past and present, and bits of the future.”

“Ok, what number am I holding up?” Alex asked putting her hand behind her back.

“Three, two, five, three, one, zero, three….

Alex pointed her middle finger behinds her back.

“Hey you're flipping me off you bitch!”

“Oh my god, he guessed it.” “…I believe.” Alex said and Whit agreed.

“Good, you see you were all recreated to stop the evil Naraku from destroying the world, and you must use your powers to do so. Even if we end up dying again, we must save the world.”

“AGAIN! WHAT DO YOU MEAN AGAIN!” Alex screamed incrediously.

“We all died once before. Naraku wasn't the cause though.”

“How did we die? …Not that I believe it or anything.” Anne asked at least sounding interested.

“Freak accidents all on the same day. Kouga fought a croc and died, and Anne drowned in the Nile. Sesshomaru and Whit died when their new house exploded. Alexis and Inuyasha died when they both tripped and fell…”

“Wait…” Alex started laughing. “…They TRIPPED?” When Ed nodded She laughed even harder along with the others, except Alexis and Inuyasha who looked annoyed.

“Any way, Alex died by holding up a lightning rod and getting struck. And Ed and Roy got hit by a meteor.”

“Man we suck. Any way it was nice meeting you all but now I think I'm going to go.” Alexis said getting up and brushing off heading toward the entrance of the palace.

“Wait where are you going?” Anne called.

“I'm leaving.” She stated.

“Alexis…” Inuyasha said rushing forward and grabbing her upper arm. “…Alexis I know it's a little far fetched but…”

“NO! I don't believe this. I am a dreamer and something like this would be…Amazing to REALLY happen. But I don't believe any of it. And I think I've been way too trusting of strangers. I'm a teen and I let that get in my way of judgement. See you guys back at the hotel.”

“Then tell me why you understand my language.” Inuyasha called softly speaking in his tongue. This time she heard the foreign words but their meanings rang clear in her mind.

“I don't know what you just said. I'm leaving.” She said not looking over her shoulder and walking off down the hall.

“You believe us don't you?” Ed asked hopefully. The girls looked down shamefully.

“It was a nice story, but I don't think so. Sorry.” Alex apologized walking off along with Anne.

“I want to believe, but they are right. Sorry guys. Good luck finding your girls!” Whitney called back running after them.

“Wait! Where are you guys going?” Kouga screamed after them running out.

“To town.” Alexis answered back now in a group with her friends.

“WAIT!” Inuyasha called making them hault.

“We will take you back. It's at least five miles from here.” Ed offered.

“Yes, please?” Roy asked.

“Very well.” Alex sighed.

“No! I don't want to do it!” Alexis refused.

“You're getting on the camel.” Alex warned.

“Fine.” She sighed. She walked over as Inuyasha fixed up the camel and got on holding a hand out to her. She gladly took it and got on in front of him. When they were all on they took them back. It was a long ride for Inuyasha and Alexis, they were the only two who didn't talk at all. Eventually Inuyasha did speak.

“Why are you so afraid to face your future?” He growled softly.

“I'm not! It's ridiculous what you are asking me to believe!” Alexis retorted.

“Not really.” He replied. The rest of the journey was silent between them. When they reached town the men parked their camels and walked them back to the street. Anne looked at her watch.

“Its four thirty guys, we got to get back before five.” Anne announced.

“We better start heading back. Mr. Ransdell will have our hide if we don't.” Alexis said.

“The hotel is right across the street.” Alex pointed out.

“What ever, I'm going back so I won't be late you guys do what you want.” She said walking off.

“That's all you think about. Rules, getting in trouble-“

“Yes it is!” She interrupted Inuyasha.

“That wasn't a question that was a fact.” He stated drawing her back.

“You…You don't know anything about me!” She cried.

“Yes I do, you favorite colors are blue and purple, you love all animals but you especially love puppies, you have a slight fear of spiders.” He started.

“Heh, simple guesses.” Alexis said crossing her arms. He stepped closer.

“You sometimes feel like you're in a movie that God watches, a drama series almost. You walk with your head down because you're shy and deep in thought, you sometimes even think of stories as you walk and can easily zone out and forget how you even got somewhere because you were in your world.” Everyone looked shocked at him, even Alexis.

“I still don't-“

“Your thumbs are not the same, a trait you got from your father, and you have a mark on your back in the same spot as your father, and if you could change your eye color it would be to a silver blue.” He interrupted her. “All these things, are the same as your other life Alexis. You've got to believe me.” He said stepping forward. Alexis looked down then up angrily.

“I don't know what kind of sick stalker you are but stay away from me!” She cried running inside. Whitney followed shaking her head at them, soon followed by the other two.” Inuyasha went to follow her but Roy stopped him.

“Leave her to her thoughts, this is overwhelming her. All of them.” He said softly. “In time their teacher will show them. We must be patient and give them space.”

“And what if they still don't believe us?” He asked. “What then?”

“We will cross that bridge when we get there.” Roy soothed. “Come let us go.” He said walking off. Inuyasha stared up at the building. He wasn't going to give up. Never.

It was another fun night on the roof top, everyone was enjoying themselves. Even Alexis got out of her sadness and danced with the others, ate, and most importantly laughed. But still something in her gut gnawed at her, telling her something was off. She naturally ignored it. Just as she ignored Inuyasha when he passed by. The way he looked saddened her, but she shook it off. She had other things to do.
