((Chapter 3))

"This is almost like old times, huh, Ed?" Al and Ed had went back to Central but to there dismay Roy and some of the other guys they had wanted to see, other than Heymans, hadn't been there. Now they were headed to Crimson City, didn't matter, they could shock them anywhere. Thats what Ed planned. No one, but a few people knew he was back.

Ed smiled and leaned out the train window. "There it is, Al. Crimson City."

..........................................

"You know Mustang, now that I think about it, the Fuhrer had a patch over his right eye too, couldn't you have waited a little longer, until you become Fuhrer, to have lost your eye?" Havoc lit his cigarette and took a puff. He always picked on Roy whenever he had the time and this time was no different.

"Yes, how ironic." Roy said driely. "But-" Roy flashed a smile, one that seemed to always catch him dates that left the other guys he knew in the dust. "-you have to admit, it works for me."

Riza shook her head. Men, they were pathetic at times.

It was around 9:00 at night and they were crowded in Rizas room, as to why, she had yet to ask. The rooms were spacious enough but still a little on the small side. It was more of an inn, considering how small the town was.

"You know, as rich as the military is, they could have afforded to get us somewhere better to stay." Havoc settled his feet onto the table in front of him. "Havoc, I do not believe that is a foot stool." Riza arched an eyebrow and he moved his feet back to the floor. He now knew the table was off limits to feet. Fuery and Falman were sitting across from him and Roy was sitting in the armchair beside Havoc.

Riza sighed and snapped the book shut, looking up. Everyone else in the room stiffened. "Why is it, that you all have your own rooms, and yet you are in here?"

Havoc shrugged. "Its boring in mine."

"Everyone else is in here..." Fuery said.

"Because...everyone else is in here..." Falman copied Fuery.

"Because yours is the nicest." Roy said the last.

"Thats your only reason?" Riza shook her head again. Men were not pathetic at times. They were ALWAYS pathetic. (Its so true)

"Havoc, you need to go back to your room and clean it up. Fuery, you should be looking up more things on this case, whatever you can find since your better in the books than we are. Falman, you should be helping Fuery and Mustang you should be thinking about your theory on the Alchemy, that is after all something in which you do yourself."

Roy and the others had grown quiet. How was it that she always seemed to be able to think of everything, always have a sane reason for everything? She looked as calm as ever. "God, Hawkeye." Havoc blew out a puff of smoke. "How can you stand to live as you do? Day after day. Such...conviction."

It was getting late and Roy and the others finally decided to leave. The moment Roy stepped outside, a wall, about the height of him, burst from the ground, blocking his path. Riza was at his side in an instant before he could even bring his hand up to snap his fingers. She rung off three shots and the wall crumbled to the ground. As the dust cleared, they saw two forms standing just a few feet away. One of them had fallen back and his fingers were twitching, probally because he was in shock at the proxity of which the bullets had raced by him, so near his head.
