Armstrong, Havoc, and Hawkeye gathered in Mustang's office. Lilly, Al,and Winry was standing by Mustang's desk and Mustang stood in front of the men (and woman) who was at attention.
"Sir, we still need the third person." Hawkeye said as Mustang told them to at ease.
"You are the third person." Mustang said sitting at his desk.
"But, Sir, I have don't use Alchemy. I wouldn't be much help." Hawkeye protested.
"Mrs. Riza, you will be a big help. You are a good protector and very loyal. You also know your way around even in the toughest situations." Lilly said. "I presonally chose you to come. I want your help."
Hawkeye smiled and nodded. Mustang smiled at her choice and told everyone to good pack and get ready to leave within a few minutes. Al looked over at Lilly and had a serious face on.
"I want to come with you, Lilly. I can help." Al said.
"Al, I need you here. Ed needs you here. With me gone, he will want to be with someone he loves. You and Winry are all he has. If you came, who would Ed turn to if something happens to him when I can't get to him for treatment?" Lilly hugged him firmly and held on. "Al, there is a good chance that I may not make it. The antidote grows in moist places where there are a lot of lead in the ground. I may get some into my system and we both know I could die, but I promise that one of the men will bring the antidote back with or without me. I need you to be there for Ed if I don't come back." Lilly said as tears fell from her eyes. Al was about to object but Lilly pulled away and looked into his eyes. "You have to promise me that you will watch over him if I don't come back. I need you to say that you will."
"I promise, Lilly." Al said as tears welled up in his eyes.
Havoc walked into Mustangs office and Lilly smiled as he handed her the bag she packed for the jorney.
"Time to go sweet cheeks." Havoc said smiling.
Lilly nodded and gave Al and Winry another hug then walked out with Havoc behind her.

Lilly and her team walked deep into the woods. Hawkeye had narrowed the possible places were the antidote could be on the map she had brought. Armstrong was carrying most of their stuff including food and their tents, but he made it seem as if the large load was lighter than a grin of sand. Havoc lead the way as Hawkeye instructed him which way to go. He cut as many branches and brush as he could along the way.
"I wish it wasn't so thick in here so we could use a car." Havoc said as he cut a branch for Armstong's huge body and load.
"We have to be thankful for what we have." Lilly said trying to look on the bright side.
"That's our, Lilly! Always looking up, even if she is falling." Havoc pointed out.
Everyone laughted even though it was fake. They tryed their best to livin up the situation but whatever came from their mouths never seemed to help them truly smile. Knowing that a good friend was dieing and his life depended on you, was a huge load to carry, even bigger than the one on Armstong's back.
"We should be at one of the spots on the map by now." Hawkeye said looking at the map.
Havoc and Armstong searched the area for the flower Lilly had described and didn't find a trace of it. Lilly called them back and looked them in the eyes.
"If it was here I would have been able to tell you. I would be weak by the lead in the soil. I don't understand why lead would be in the soil, but the book said that in order for the flower to live, it had to have a good source of lead. I would have been able to pick up on any traces by now. Let's go check some place eles." Lilly said.
Everyone nodded and started to the next spot on the map.

"It' s getting dark. I wonder how they're doing." Winry said looking out the window.
"Don't worry about them. They know what they are doing." Al said and wiped more sweat from Ed's forhead.
Ed had gotten worse and was now not comunicating or eating. Al had watched him change and knew that he didn't have much time left. His only brother and long time friend was dieing and there was nothing he could do. Hang on, Ed. Lilly will be back soon with the antidote. I hope...

Darkness rolled in and Armstong pitched the tents. Lilly watched the stars poke out the sky and prayed for Ed's safty. Hawkeye started an fire as Havoc started the food. They all ate in silence untill Lilly couldn't hold it in any longer.
"We search in five different places today and there was no sign of the antidote. I don't know what else to do..." Lilly said on the verge of tears.
"We keep looking. We can't give up." Hawkeye said.
"Ed, wouldn't give up on us if we were in his situation." Armstrong said.
"I know. I'm just.....scared." Lilly said looking down.
"We all are, sweety, but we keep going. We still have a few more days to go." Havoc smiled.
"I said he has three days at the most, he could die now and we wouldn't even know it. We haven't gotten time to waist. Tommorw we don't stop. We will eat and walk, if we keep looking we are bound to find it soon." Lilly told her friends.
All nodded and continued eating.
The next morning, Havoc woke everyone up at the crack of dawn. No one waisted time to get up and repack. The all ate breakfast while they walked to their next destination. They walked for place to place and yet came up with nothing. Lilly was getting fustrated and upset. Everyone noticed, but said nothing.

"His heart beat is getting faint. He can't hold out much longer." Mustang said looking at the screen that showed Ed's heart beat.
"Don't say that!! He's going to be fine!!" Winry shouted.
"I didn't mean to upset you."
"Well, to late for that now, huh?" Winry cryed out as huge tears fell for her eyes.
"Hold on, Ed. Please hold on." Al chanted ignoring the two in the background as he held his brother's hand.

Lilly fell to the ground and everyone turn to see her struggling to get up but fell again. Havoc lifted her on his back.
"We're close. I can feel it. We have to keep moving." Lilly said in a weak voice.
Havoc nodded and they continued. Lilly slipped in and out of consiousness as the seemed to be getting closer and closer to the source of the lead. Havoc stoped walking and started to carry her bridal style once her grip on his back seemed to losen and her knew she would fall if he didn't.
"We shouldn't take her any closer. There is way to much lead to get her any farther." Hawkeye said.
"Don't you dare...." Lilly said as she came to. "I have to get that flower...."
"We will come back for you, Lilly. We know what it looks like."
"But you only have a picture in your head. I have seen the real deal in the picture I saw of it. You need me if you can't find it. I'm going." Lilly demanded.
Hawkeye hesitantly nodded and they walked on.

"He's breathing is slowing. He's fadding fast. We don't know what to do. Lilly, where are you?" Al whispered to the sky.

Armstrong began to search to area for the flower. Lilly was barly consious, but kept her eyes open. Finally Hawkeye found the flower on a small ledge that had green grass growing on it and the small flower growing in the center. There was no way that it would support her weight or to reach it since it was down below hanging off the cliff they stood on. Armstong took Lilly from Havoc and Havoc examined the flower.
"There's no way I can use Alchemy for that. If I did, the flower would be knocked down." He said.
"Place me down there..." Lilly said looking at her only hope for Ed.
"Your could fall down that huge hole! Plus how would you get back?" Armstrong said to the weak girl in his arms.
"Tie a rope to my waist and pull me back to you. I am the only one who can stand on the ledge. If I can stand at all." Lilly said.
Hawkeye looked at the boys then took a rope from the bag she was carrying. She tied it to Lilly and gave the other end to Havoc to pull her back with. Armstrong looked down at Lilly with a sad face.
"I'll be fine. I'll get that flower." Lilly said.
Armstrong gently began to lower Lilly to the ledge and towards the flower. She landed on her feet but instantly feel to her knews and passed out.
"Lilly!!!!" Hawkeye screamed. "Pull her back over now!!" She ordered turning to Havoc.
"Wait, she's comming to." Havoc said pionting to Lilly struggling to grasp the flower.

"He passed out again." Winry said looking down at Ed.
"Everytime he does, I get scared that he won't wake back up." Al said.
"Ed, is strong. He'll pull through." Mustang said putting his hand on Al's shoulder from behind.

"She has it! Pull her back over!" Hawkeye said.
"Got it!" Havoc yelled and began to gently pull the rope.
Armstong stood at the edge of the cliff and helped Lilly up. Lilly handed the flower to Armstorng then passed out into his arms.
"Leave our stuff and lets run as far away from this place as possible!"Hawkeye yelled as they took off.
Before long Hawkeye had drawn a short cut back to the Headquarters. It was already dark and they hadn't stoped walking at all. Lilly had finally came to, but instantly coughed up a hand full of blood.
"She must have breathed in some lead while she was getting the flower and her system is trying to get it out. Let's hurry back."
Hawkeye instucted where to go and son the Headquarters came into view. Lilly was being carryed by Armstrong and holding the flower tight in her hand and refussed to give it up even though it still may have had some soil with the lead in it on it. Mustang saw them and ran towards they along with Al and Winry. Al told Lilly how bad Ed had become and he was now passed out. Lilly told Winry how to make the flower into a powder and Winry got right on it. Lilly was carryed to Ed and placed in a chair beside him. Winry brough in the now powder flower and Lilly mixed it in with a glass of water.
"I need someone to sit him up." Lilly said and Al nodded.
Ed was sat up and was still passed out. Lilly pinched Ed in the arm which made him open his eyes. Ed's vision was blurry but Lilly voice was enough to get him to open his mouth when she asked. Lilly gently rubbed Ed's thoat and poured the mixture down. He chocked a little but got it down. Al layed him back down and he passed out again.
"Now what?" Al asked looking at Ed then Lilly.
Everyone turned to Lilly.
"We wait." Lilly gently said as she strocked Ed's hair.
