I'd like to start by saying this is not a fanfic for those who love WinXEd stories. I myself like them but this story just kind of came to me one day and I hope you all enjoy it. I think of this as and AU for few reasons as its totally opposite of what most if not all of use see as happening in FMA. Ed has returned to his world thanks to Alphonse Heiderich. With his return and Wrath's death Edward's arm and leg are given back to him. Ed hopes to find some R&R at the only place he calls home with his brother and girl that has been waiting for him.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ed rubbed his forehead and sighed as the last shake of the train had woke him up from his peaceful nap. Ed's life had changed for the good for once in his miserable life. He had returned from the other world and on top of that his arm and leg returned to him. After returning to Central to report in to General Mustang, who upon his return told him to take some leave time and relax. That had prompted the older Elric to take a trip back to Resembool to visit his brother and Winry. Winry oh how he missed her and thought about her a lot. He so wanted to tell her his feelings for her, perhaps this was his chance now that Alphonse had his body back and he his limbs and back from the strange world.

 

 

Ed walked the familiar road that he had walked do so many times before, but this time it was different. This time he noticed every thing around him took the time to see how beautiful Resembool really was. Ed couldn't help but chuckle at himself. Never had he thought any thing was beautiful except maybe alchemy.

 

 

About an hour later when he walked up the front steps to the Rockbell house, Ed couldn't bring himself to walk in. His stomach was bothering him and his chest hurt him, so he just stood there like an idiot. Sudden laughter coming from the back off the house pulled him from his thoughts so he slowly mad his way back there.

 

 

“Edward?!” Winry looked at him, her eyes threatening to tear up. She couldn't believe it, Ed had returned to them. To her.

 

 

It was a great reunion for all three of them. They laughed, hugged, even cried. There talking went past mid-night and still Winry and Al wanted to hear more stories about Ed's adventure. Ed noticed how Winry looked at him and even sat closer to him, His mind screamed at him to just kiss her but he just couldn't bring himself to do it.

 

 

“Hey Winry? Um….Thanks for taking care of Alphonse and me.” He said suddenly feeling very shy before he entered the room he would be staying in. Winry gave him a warm smile and hugged him, but what she didn't count on was when he close the gap between their faces and lightly kissed her.

 

 

It had ended too fast for her as he pulled back and went into his room, She stood at his door for a moment dumb found and unable to form words or thought. Winry giggles and let her legs take the lead to her room. On the other side of the door Ed looked like he was going to have a heart attack. `I can't believe I did that! I kissed Winry!' He thought as he stared up at the ceiling of the room.

 

 

 

 

 

Thanks for reading the first of many chapters. I know its rather short but I was trying to figure out what worked better for an opening for my story. I know I said this will be and EdxRiza story and it will be. You'll just have to be patient and look forward to the next chapters of the story. Please R&R and no flaming I'm trying my best to keep them IC but some times it cant be helped to go a little OOC.
