The day after Ed and Al came back; Winry was completely shock at the news since she was in love with Ed for many years. Sure she dated other guys and kissed a few of them but she knew that her heart belong to Ed.

 

On that night, Winry simply tossed in her from side to side think about if she should tell Ed how she felt. By 6am, she had enough and got, slipped her bath robe on and walked to the front porch and leaned against the railing while watching the sun rise.

 

Thinking about last night, the night that Ed and Al came back finding Winry living by herself. No Den and No Pinako. To there surprise, Pinako died in her sleep a few months ago and so did Den. She also helps but laugh when they saw her…with short hair… They didn't even recognize her until Al said that she looked like she was 8 years old again but taller. Giggling to herself, a voice surprised her.

 

“Why are you up so early?” said a voice behind her, dragging her out of her thoughts. Turning around, Winry saw Ed in front of her wearing only his pants, showing his automail arm and with his hair down. Winry couldn't help but stare at the man in front of her.

 

“He really has grown up in to a very handsome man” though Winry. “Not much, couldn't sleep.” Winry answered while tapping the spot next the railing, pecking him to be next to her.

 

“Same” said Ed as he walked next to her. During a period of silence, Ed stole a few glances at Winry, his best friend had really grown into a beautiful women and really liked the change of hair style.

 

“Why were you so quiet last night?” asked Ed

 

“What do you mean?” said Winry

 

“Well you didn't talk at all yesterday and got me worried because you always talk, what's wrong?” asked Ed as he pulled her into a hug in hope of comforting her.

 

“Yo…Your finally back, you got Al back to normal and now, what's going to happen to you now…are you going to go and to find a way the get your arm and leg back or what?!...that's what's been on my mind Ed.” After Winry said that, she turned around not able to look at him in the face but still had his hands on her hips pulling her closer to him.

 

“Winry, I'm not going away, I'm staying here as well I'm leaving the military, and I'm not leaving you Winry, not now not ever. I love you” he said then nuzzled her neck.

 

Tacking a few minutes to realize what he just said. Winry smiled and raised her left hand to cup his face. Turning her face to look at him, she gently raised her head and brushed her lips across his. Leaving them there for a minute, she felt him smile against her, after separating for some air. Winry turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck, drawing him close to her she whispered “I love you too” and then kissed him again.

 

When they separated again, Ed wrapped his arms around her and held her as they watched the rest of the sun rise.

 

Later That Week

 

“Brigadier General, you have a letter from Edward.” Riza as she gaze the letter to Roy.

 

After a few minutes of silence, Roy finally said “What do you know, the pipsqueak is leaving the military.” Then he picked up the letter and took a picture of Ed, Al and Winry from Rizenboule out and smiled to himself.

 

“Guess I have to tell everybody else.” Roy said as he got out of his chair to tell everybody else, but first he gave Riza a kiss before he opened the door.
