Like many of the times before Candy looked over at her caretaker with a murderous glint in her eyes. The Bastard wanted that again. Who was she to deny him his pleasure? If she didn't comply he would simply take it from her after beating her senseless. No it was far worse not to do what he wanted. So once again she found herself between the knees of `The Bastard' as she had so dubbed him sucking him off. She hated this man with all of her existence no with all of her being. Sometimes it got so bad she wished she would just die. Die and be free of this prison. Her hair was long and the color of sun kissed wheat. Her eyes were a bright and brilliant sapphire blue. She always had hope that one day she could escape. She had remembered what it had been like before. Before her mother died and The Bastard took her. The Bastard had been nice to her then. But one day her mother came down with an illness and not too soon after she died. It was after her funeral when he first raped her. She had cried all night long wishing to die and be with her mother or go live with her real father who was somewhere unknown. The Bastard wasn't fit to lick the shoes of her father from what she had heard about him. His first name was all she could remember. Nash. She had two younger brothers. She wished she could run away and live with them but she didn't know where they lived. He was finished so she swallowed everything. If she didn't he would beat her yet again. He had long black hair and almost red, brown eyes.
“Go brush you teeth.” The Bastard commanded. She bowed and then left to do as he commanded of her. She walked down the hallway and into her room. There was hardly anything in there. A dresser with only three extra pairs of clothes. A mirror that she could never look into anymore and a small twin sized bed. The dresser was moved over to the bed so she could set things on it like bedside table. There was a book or two. She had been forced to read alchemy books so he could make her do the dangerous experiments that he sometimes did. That was the only good thing about this place. She loved Alchemy almost as much as she enjoyed art. Everything about it she absorbed like a sponge. She would never tell him that though. He would take her books away just like he took all of her drawing books away. Alchemy was the reason she was in this predicament and Alchemy would get her out. The array she had been practicing involved using a spark to activate it. But only one. She had an old Zippo lighter that she had stolen from The Bastard. She used it to smoke the cigarettes she had stolen off of him also. That would be sufficient enough. The question was though, could she do it? Could she set this place for so long she had called home on fire? Yes. If it would guarantee that she wouldn't be his sex slave anymore than yes she would do it. Then she would go become an artist and sell her paintings. That was her dream. She took her pen and drew the well practiced array on the back of her hand. It was simple at best complex at worse. It was a normal circle with a design inside that looked like a bird with its wings out. She had dubbed it The Phoenix Array. She would do it now. She would find The Bastard and turn him into ash. She had to act quickly. She grabbed the suitcase she had had so long ago and put her only belongings into it. The two books and her clothes. She picked up a journal she had lying on the foot of the bed and stuck it in there as well. She took the chalk she had in her pocket and held it in her right hand as the Zippo and the Array were on the other. She walked out slowly watching her steps. She found him sitting on the couch in the living room reading a book.
“Hey Bastard,” was the only warning he got before she flicked the lighter open and struck the flint. Flames shot out and consumed him. She walked into his bedroom and grabbed the wad of cash he had been saving in a jar and then walked back into her bedroom. She built a barricade of stone and left only a small opening. She flicked the flint once more setting the house ablaze and quickly sealing the hole.

A man with short black hair and onyx colored eyes looked at the destruction before him. Never in all his life see such destruction. Hank Venda was assumed dead how could he not be the whole house had been destroyed by the fire.
“Brigadier General Mustang sir, we have found the remains of the State Alchemist Hank Venda the Lifestitching Alchemist sir!” One of the lieutenants who had been searching the house told him.
“Alright, I want you to look for any way possible that this fire was intentional,” General Mustang ordered. The man saluted and the team went to work trying to find a cause for the fire.
“Hellish way to go out I suppose,” Colonel Mustang looked over at his best friend.
“Hughes. You're right, have you sent word to the Tringhams?” Colonel Mustang asked him.
“Well to tell the truth I have no idea where the Tringhams are at this time Roy,” he answered him.
“I do,” a new voice came from behind them. They turned around and saw a blonde haired boy.
“What was that Colonel Elric?” Roy asked him.
“I said I know where the Tringhams are, do you want me to go and inform them?” the Colonel asked.
“Yes, find them and tell them what happened to their step father,” Roy told him. He saluted his commanding officer and left.
“Sir, we have found evidence that this fire might have been caused intentionally,” One of the Lieutenants told him.
“Show me.”

Candy was walking down the railroad tracks and she had no idea where she was going. A suitcase in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Then she saw a train station.
“I must be near Central.” She said as she noticed the big city coming into view. She took a drag of her cigarette dropped it to the ground and continued walking. She reached the platform and saw only one person. Candy then walked over to the ticket master and had a flash of a memory. Xenotime! Her father was born and raised in Xenotime. That's where she'd check first.
“One ticket to Xenotime please,” she said pulling out the Sens. She quickly paid for the ticket and sat down on the bench to wait. She pulled out a cigarette and lit it with the Zippo lighter.
“Smoking's bad for you, you know,” The only person on the platform told her.
“And so is many other things that people put into their bodies,” She answered him flat toned.
“True, true. Are you even old enough to be smoking?” He asked. She growled and looked up at him for the first time taking in his appearance. He was short and had long blonde hair that he had tied back into a pony tail. His golden eyes were what caught her attention though. She almost lost herself in them. She had to admit he was rather handsome.
“I'm 19 years old, I can do what ever the Hell I please,” she growled at him. He started to say something but the sound of running feet caught his attention.
“Sorry brother, Winery wanted to show me something,” the boy said as he bent over breathing heavily as he braced his self with his hands. When he stood up Candy noticed that he was a good two inches taller than the other blond. He had short blonde hair and honey grey eyes. He was just as good looking as his brother.
“I bet that's not all she wanted with you,” The shorter blond mumbled.
“Brother!” The taller blond reprimanded. The sound of the train's whistle caught all three of their attentions.
“Sounds like the train's coming in,” Candy said as she stood.
“Sorry I didn't catch your name, my name is Edward and this is my younger brother Alphonse.” Edward introduced them.
“My name is Candy, nice to meet you,” She told them as she looked off to the side watching the train as it pulled into the station. They thought it strange that she didn't shake their offered hands but they shrugged it off. The train pulled in and they waited for the passengers to unload before the three got onboard. Edward and Alphonse took seats across from each other and Candy took the seat in the back. She pulled out her journal and started writing in it. Her journal was not only alchemy oriented but also held each account The Bastard laid hands on her and her deepest darkest secrets. That's the way she fell asleep journal in hand.

She awoke to the train slowing down. She looked around to see if the other two where still onboard and noticed that Edward was curled up in his seat sleeping. Alphonse leaned over and tapped his brother on the shoulder.
“Brother wake up we're here,” he said as Edward's golden orbs cracked open.
“Thanks Al,” Edward mumbled as he sat up and tried to rub the sleep from his eyes. Candy walked quickly passed them and to the front of the train. She had her only belongings in her hand and she couldn't help but look back at the two brothers. She locked eyes with the youngest. She saw so much pain and unshed tears and he did too. He was about to say something when the train stopped moving and she quickly escaped the car. She walked quickly up to the ticket booth and asked if they had seen a man by the name of Nash. The ticket booth man shook his head and she thanked him and left. She walked quickly and didn't notice she ran into someone until she was on her rear looking up at a tall blonde.
“I'm sorry, I didn't see you,” she apologized.
“Candy?” that made her double take at the man.
“Russell?” she jumped up and hugged him.
