Roy found Ed at the library, reading a book as usual.

Roy coughed slightly and handed Edward the book and a red camellia.

Ed blinked and opened up the book; searching for the flowers meaning.

Ed smiled brightly at finding it's meaning and hugged the Colonel around the neck, successfully locking their lips.

Ed giggled giddily as he sat back down and tucked the red flower behind his ear. The Red camellia meant: You're the flame in my heart.

A very flattering thing for the Flame alchemist to imply.

Ed grinned as he took out another flower from the table and gave it to Roy.

At Roy's questioning gaze, Ed explained.

“It's blue violet bastard, and it means I'll always be true.”

Roy smiled, a true smile and captured the boy's lips again. He had no doubts that Edward would live up the flower's meaning.
