Fullmetal Alchemist Fan Fiction ❯ Red Blood - Blue Stone ❯ chp.15// The Stone ( Chapter 15 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
A/N sorry, I just got an Idea, and I had to write it.
Rage: Well, hurry up! That last chapter had absolutely no worth at all!
Akina: -Hits homunculi-self with frying pan-
Rage: OUCH!!!
Guilt: Told you it hurt…

/~Rage's POV~|
Rage sat in the clearing, thinking. She wasn't far from the house, so there was no danger of Envy attacking. Things had been so hectic… what with Al and Ed gathering ingredients and forming plans and transmutation circle ideas…
Rage smiled lightly. Just yesterday Guilt had argued about the `proper' way to bake a cake. We had been trying to surprise Winry on her birthday. Al and Ed had wanted to do something special, so Rage had taken it on herself to bake a cake. Guilt hadn't agreed with her choices of ingredients.
“You OBVIOUSLY have to add more sugar!”
“That's plenty right there! Winry will puke if she has that much sugar in her cake!” Rage yelled, yanking the bowl of batter away from guilt.
“At least add more flour, it will never rise THIS way!” Guilt exclaimed, retrieving a bag of flour.
“Oh, let me do it.” Rage reprimanded, trying to tug the bag out of his hands. It became an all-out war for the flour, which ended as the bag tore, sending flour all over the room. Guilt, Now sticky, sputtered a colorful string of curses.
Rage shot him a glare that read `If-you-say-another-word-I'll-hit-you-with-a-frying-pan…AGAIN.' div>
Rage chuckled quietly to herself. Her and Guilt had grown so close…would they get any closer? Rage could only hope so. He was that one that kept her alive, after all. She felt almost…human around him.
With a grin, she stood, when a thought struck her.
Edward had explained all about the gruesome truth of the stone. The philosopher's stone fueled off of hate and bloodshed… what would it's counterpart fuel from?
It would obviously be the opposite….
Realization slammed into her.
Guilt had to know.
/~Guilt's POV~\
Guilt stood over the two boys as they drew out their final product. The ingredients were here. The circle was complete. They only needed to find the missing component…
Edward and Alphonse looked around, almost like dogs, ears perked, and nose twitching. Envy could appear at any given moment.
“Get Rage, Guilt.” Edward barked (XD)
“We're doing it today.
Just then, Rage came hurtling through the underbrush, ramming into a guilt and successfully knocking the wind from him. He gasped, stumbling, but she righted him.
“Guilt, I know! The missing component, I figured it out!”
Rage cried happily, and Edward and Alphonse stared at her. Guilt grinned a grin that was so wide it seemed physically impossible. Rage laughed, tears streaming down her pink cheeks.
Guilt hugged her tight, laughing with her. She buried her face in the crook of her arm, and one thing became suddenly, very clear.
She loved him.
He loved her.
Twin gasped came from behind them. Rage whirled. The contents of the basins holding ingredients were rising. They joined, swirling, a dim glow casting one side of her face in shadow. There was a moment when dead silence reined, then a sharp crack. It was deafening, and Edward gaped.
The stone had been made.
Rage cried out, and the world exploded into white.
“Guilt…I love you.”
