The couple raced towards the door of the country house, laughing.

 

“Kael! That's not fair!” The girl with the light brown hair teased as she lagged behind the man. The blonde man turned, and with an over exasperated groan, called to the girl.

 

“Akina, hurry up!” The brunette laughed, and it was a laugh that sounded of chimes in the summer.

 

“It's not like the house is going to run away!” The woman linked her arm with the man's, and they looked forwards to see another woman standing in the door. She had moved into the path of direct sunlight, exposing her sun bleached lemon-blonde hair.

 

“Winry!” The brunette's enthusiastic call was loud enough to reach the blonde's ears. The man chortled, allowing the two women to meet in a mass of loud squeals and hugging. He was forced to wonder if women were even the same species as men.

 

“How is Taka?” the brunette asked excitedly.

 

“Almost done, He'll be out soon.” The blonde was equally as excited as she led the two others into the house.

 

All this was watched by a pair of unblinking, turquoise eyes. The being in the bushes shifted restlessly, and a cloud passed over the sun, blotting out her shilouette. Distinctly female, The Voice purred to the darkness.

 

“My fiancé will be with me once more. Kael will be mine.”
