Chapter 1: The Accident

Blood. That was all she could see. Unimaginable pain. That was all she could feel. Cuts and wounds were all over her body. Flesh was ripped and tears ran from her eyes. Her sisters were gone and she was left to die. It was his entire fault.

 

Who was he you ask? He was a heartless and cruel man trying to kill her and her sisters. He hated them and not even for a good reason. She had been in countless battles with him, but this one was the one that got away. He took her sisters away from her, probably to torture and kill them. She was the best off.

 

She lied there on the ground of the forest surrounded by trees and other debris from the battle they had not long ago. She knew she was going to die and waited for death to come. Her breathing slowed, but she was alive, hopefully.

“Brother, why are we in the forest?” questioned the younger of the two Elric brothers. Not too long ago, Ed and Al had been in a new town they had never traveled to before. They had asked around, but not one of the people were nice enough to tell them the name of the town. When Al was about to ask someone for the millionth time, Ed walked off in the forest nearby and Al ran to catch up.

 

“I have a feeling that we should search in here. I don't know what we are searching for, but I have a feeling.” replied the eldest brother. He walked along a path in the forest as he kicked random pebbles and rocks out of the way. His mind was blank. What could he do? He had no leads on the philosopher's stone and was too far away to reach the station in time to catch the last train to Risenbol. Therefore, he was stuck looking for leads in towns. He had stuck dry.

 

Ed came to an empty tree stump and sat down. He could hear Al clanking along to catch up to him. Ed's gazed went down to his feet, where he saw a very shocking sight. There was blood on the ground before him. His first thought was that he was bleed, but then he saw that it was a trail of blood leading to a female's body. Ed ran over to the body.

 

Al ran up behind Ed noticing that something was wrong. Ed and Al looked the body over. It seemed to be a girl of about the age of fourteen. She had cerulean blue hair pulled back in two buns on the back of her head. She was beautiful. She looked as if she had been in some sort of battle. She had many cut and wounds where flesh had been ripped and torn. She had a cut on her head. She was in terrible condition.

 

Ed check for a pulse and heard her heart beating. She was alive, but if they didn't get her to a hospital soon, she would most likely die.

 

Ed looked at Al who got the message. Al picked up the blue haired beauty, bridal style. The Elric brother ran off in the direction they had come.

Her deep blue eyes opened slowly. She was lying down on a hospital bed with bandages covering all her wounds. She was confused and lost. She got up from her bed feeling pure pain, but she had to get out. She ran though the doors of the room and continued down the hallway, running in whatever direction she could.

Al was sitting down in the room when she ran out. She must have not noticed him. The girl just got up, zoomed past him, and ran right out the door. His first reaction was to get Ed, but by the time he found him, she would be gone and might have hurt herself again. So he ran after her.

She continued running straight down the hall. Then, she came to the end and took a sharp turn to the next hallway, slipping in the process. Her body slammed into a cart with surgery knifes on it and the cart fell over, knocking the equipment onto her already injured body. Flesh was torn as blood spattered everywhere. A piercing scream was heard throughout the whole hospital.

Both Ed and Al heard this scream and ran to the source. Meeting up, the two brothers approached the group of doctors and nurse picking up the girl they had saved and placing her on a stretcher.

 

“What happened and where are you taking her?” questioned Ed. He looked confused and had a bagel in his hand from the cafeteria.

 

“This girl was just found on the ground bleeding with our surgery knifes in her left arm. She must have run into the cart. We believe that her left arm will have to be remove and replaced with automail.” a doctor watching replied.

 

Al filled Ed in about how she had gotten down this hallway. They watched as the girl was being pushed on the stretcher and into the operating room. They were asked to stay in the waiting room while the surgery was being done.

 

Ed sat down in a chair and started to think. Why were they staying and waiting for this girl? She had nothing to do with them. They should have dropped her off and left. Yet he told Al her wanted to stay. Why? She was just a girl…with beautiful blue eyes, and luxurious blue locks, and a curvy figure. Wait! What was he thinking? She was just a girl they found, nothing more.

 

His thoughts were interrupted by doctor's question. “Are you this young lady's guests?” he asked them.

 

“Yeah,” replied Ed as the doctor to them to the girl's room.

Reaching the girl's room, Ed and Al had sat down in the chairs by the bed. They waited until she awoke. She was beautiful when she was sleep.

 

Finally, she woke up, her eyes fluttering open. She gazed over to where the boys sat. “Who are you?” she asked.

 

“My name is Edward Elric and this is my brother Alphonse, but you can call us Ed and Al. We are the ones that found you in the forest and brought you here.” replied Ed.

 

“Well, my name is Larayn and I thank you for saving my life. I owe it to you.” Larayn said. This conversation carried on with Ed and Al telling their story and Larayn tell the boys about her sisters.

 

“I know they don't look much like me, but they are related to me,” said Larayn. Ed and Al were looking at a picture of her sisters and her at the beach. Each girl had a different hair and eye color, but they all had the same face.

Walking in the forest once again, the boys and the girl accompanying them where headed down the path they had walked before. Larayn had told them that her home was in the forest where the path was leading them.

 

As they walked, Larayn swung her only free arm. Her right arm was swinging and her left arm was in a splint because she hadn't gotten used to the extra weight. Al was clanking along as Ed just looked around in excitement. This girl he had just met was really nice and seemed to know all about this area. He wanted to learn more about the area to find out more information on the stone.

 

In about five minutes, they had reach Larayn's house. It was located at the end of the path and was in a meadow. It was a fairly large house that had yellow sliding and blue shutters. Larayn has said that they could stay here as long as they wanted so Ed and Al had taken the offer. The two boys and one girl entered the house to find it trashed.
