It was about seven in the evening when Jay got settled into Roy's house. It was a nice house and it was very spacious. When you first walked into the house there was a hallway. The first door on the right was the living room. It had a couch and a reading chair. A fireplace was situated in the center of the wall facing the archway that led into the room. On the mantle there were sets of pictures. The one in the middle was of Roy and a dark haired man that she didn't know who it was. He was wearing glasses and had hazel green eyes. On the left of the hallway and down the hall a little bit was the kitchen. Once the hall hit the kitchen however is exploded into a dinning room and a staircase that went upstairs. Upstairs there were three bedrooms. The one on the right, Roy had turned into a study. Further down the hallway on the left next to the bathroom was a guest room and straight ahead was the master bedroom. She walked into the guest room and sat her backpack and a few books she had barrowed from Edward on the bed.

 

“Mustang's got a nice house; I'll give the bastard that.” She had forgotten that her brothers went with her to drop off some of her things. Actually they were Ed's things. Books on alchemy. Only a few of the books weren't his. They had been their mother's. Romance novels to which Edward had said `How can you read that garbage? All it is is porn with a pretty wrapping.' she had smiled when he said that. And she asked him if he even knew what porn was. He had turned bright red and ran out of the room. She smiled at the memory.

 

“Did you hear me?” Alphonse asked. She looked up at him and gave him a sheepish smile.

 

“No sorry I was thinking about what Edo had said about my Romance novels.” She told him. Alphonse grinned evilly and looked at his older brother. He was as red now as he was when she had said what she did.

 

“I said I have to go back to Resembool now, Winery would be mad if I stayed any longer.” Alphonse told her. Edward humphed and said something under his breath.

 

“What did you say <em>EDWARD?</em>” Jay growled at him.

 

“Nothing!” he shouted. That only raised more suspicion so she grabbed him by his collar and in a flash had him in a choke hold.

 

“Repeat what you said <em>SHRIMP</em> or you'll regret it!” She growled at him.

 

“Either way I'm dead, AND DON'T CALL ME SHRIMP YOU <em>BEAN</em>!” He shouted back. Alphonse didn't say a word, less he wanted the wrath of his sister on him. He'd take an enraged Ed any day.

 

“Repeat it mother fucker or I'll cut your balls off and shove them down your throat.” She shouted.

 

<i>Oh shit, she's mad…</i> Edward thought to himself.

 

“I said `Women', god Jay I didn't mean to make you mad!” he told her. She let him go in shock.

 

“I'm sorry, did I hurt you?” She asked looking into his eyes.

 

“You know I've been wondering what The Gate took from you…and from what I can tell I'm hoping I'm not right,” Her gaze shifted to the ground.

 

“I'm…The Gate took my innocence and gave me malice but that's not the only thing it took…it took my ability to produce children and only that. All my other organs are intact and functioning.” She told him as a tear made itself visible on her cheek. All the while Roy stood outside the door of the guest room. He was going to intercept and break up the fight if need be but now he wished he hadn't listened in.

 

“I'm unfit to be called your sister, I ran away after the transmutation, and I can't give you nieces or nephews. I should have died, not Al, I should have been the one to walk around in a suit of armor,” She was on her knees sobbing. Edward and Alphonse where speechless. Edward wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head.

 

“Jay, you're wrong.” Edward said sternly.

 

“Just because you ran doesn't make you evil, and just because you can't produce children doesn't mean that we love you any less,” he told her as he tucked a stray hair in her face behind her ear. She stopped crying and hugged Edward. Out of all the years without a father she had bonded to Edward. She looked up at Alphonse and waved him over to them. She had bonded with Alphonse just as much as she had with Edward. She had missed them the 12 years she was gone.

 

“I'm going to miss you Alu, and you too Edo, even though I will probably be seeing you on a regular basis.” She laughed. Outside the door Roy breathed a sign of relief. It was never a normal day with the Elrics.

 

“One of these days we'll rebuild the family home, and we want you to live in it,” Edward told her. She looked up at him in surprise.

 

“No I couldn't do that, you keep it Edward, you're the oldest, and the shortest.” She told him. He held out his hand to pull her up and she took it. Then he pulled her into a choke hold.

 

“Who you callin a pintsized bean sprout midget!” He shouted. She laughed and turned the choke hold on him.

 

“Oh that would be you Edo, that would be you.” Then she did something that she hadn't done in years. She gave him a wet willy. He squirmed and couldn't free himself from her grasp. Laughter from the hallway is what caught her attention. She saw Roy standing in the door way. Edward turned red then growled at him.

 

“Well looks like someone has finally been able to get you under control,” he laughed. Edward was about to growl out something fierce but his attention was brought back to his head. She was giving him a noogie!

 

“Ahh! Stop that!” He shouted.

 

“Not until you say the magic words,” she told him.

 

“No! Never!” he shouted.

 

“Say it, I know you want to,” She said still holding rather tightly with her right arm as her left hand messed up his hair. Roy was amused at how well she had Edward feeding out of the palm of her hand.

 

<i>Must have been like this when they were children.</i> Roy thought to himself.

 

“Fine!” he said loudly but the next part was barely heard.

 

“What was that Edo?” She asked.

 

“I SAID, I'm a half pint bean sprout midget, and I'm proud of it,” he said disdainfully. Roy didn't think he could hold the laughter back anymore.

 

“Come on Edo say it like you mean it!” She said in a sing song tone.

 

“I'm a half pint bean sprout midget and I'm proud of it!” He shouted. He was clearly red from head to toe and Roy couldn't hold back the laughter anymore.

 

“Good boy that's what you get for discrimination against women,” when she released him he ran out of the room.

 

“Who's the older of the two?” Roy asked Alphonse. He gave Roy a sheepish smile and pointed towards the door.

 

“Brother is,” Roy had to laugh at that. Not only had his younger brother been able to control him but it seemed that Jay had him handled as well.

 

“Hey Alu…” Alphonse didn't like that tone. He looked over at Jay and she had her hands behind her back and a grin from ear to ear.

 

“What…” he said quickly and fearfully. She didn't waist anytime. She tackled him and started tickling him.

 

“Ha ha ha ha ha stop sis…Ha…” Alphonse was in tears he was laughing so much.

 

“I got a gift for you,” She said when she stopped tickling him. She retch into her back pocket and pulled out a small journal.

 

“This is my journal on Xingian Alchemy, the non-human alchemy. Hide it from Edo will ya?” She kissed him on the nose and got up offering her hand to him. He flipped through the pages a bit then took Jay's hand.

 

“This is amazing!” Alphonse said then hugged his sister.

 

“Yeah I know, check out the page on Elemental Alchemy, it's just as amazing.” She told him.

 

“Well I have to go before I miss my train, I love you sister,” He said as he hugged her again.

 

“And I Love you Alu!” she kissed him on the cheek and he squirmed a bit.

 

“Sis!” he said wiping off the kiss.

 

“I'll see you as soon as I can, hug Winry for me!” She said as Alphonse walked out the door.

 

“You guys are close, even though you've been away for 12 years, amazing.” Roy said approaching her with determination.

 

“Ok, first let's set the ground rules, One, no seduction of any kind.”

 

“Two, I will cook and clean but I'll not clean your room, that's your space and it's personal,”

 

“Three, your laundry is your job, my laundry is my job. Any questions?” Roy smirked. She was a genus. A prodigy and he loved every minute of it.

 

“What happens if I break a rule? Say rule number one?” He asked folding his arms.

 

“Then I will demonstrate my Xingian martial arts on your ass,” She smiled at him.

 

“Fine,” He said turning and leaving the room.

 

<i>This is going to be harder than I thought, I need to beef up my game.</i> He thought to himself.

Hmm I wonder how long rule number one is going to last? He he he. I hope you liked this chapter…chapter three is going to be up to the exams so yeah. And I might tell you why Jay wants to join the military in the next chapter as well. Yami No Kaeko.
