Ed groaned, turning over in the bed, swatting at the rays of light that threatened to awake him. It was then that Ed's tired brain caught up with him. Sun? Wait, wasn't it snowing not to long ago?
Ed sat up, blinking the sun out his eyes, looking around. Everything was white. Save for a window to his left and the bed he was sitting on. On his right, Roy Mustang was sleeping, dog ears and tail not included.
So, Ed though, watching Roy's chest rise and fall with each breath the man took, this is a dream . . . Roy stirred slightly, turning to face Ed, coal black eyes staring up (UP! Ed noted) at him.
"Ah Fullmetal, it seems that you're awake," Something flashed through Roy's eyes that Ed couldn't name. Sitting up, Roy smirked, that look that Ed could not name returning, and staying, in his eyes. The moment that Roy began crawling towards Ed, it clicked. That look was one of lust.
"Uh, Mustang, what are you..." But Ed couldn't finish his sentence, for he found a pair of lips, Roy's lips, blocking his words, a tongue across his lips. Ed moaned slightly, allowing Roy access to his mouth.
Roy pulled Ed onto his lap, allowing the kiss to deepen. But humans need air to breath, so a minute later the two pulled apart, Ed panting slightly. "What was that Mustang?" Mustang smirked, staring at Ed with half-hooded eyes.
"Why Edward," He drawled, "I would think even you would know what a kiss is," Ed flushed a bright red, turning away. Roy chuckled, cupping Ed's cheek in his hand, turning Ed's face to face him. "I want you Edward."
Roy then pushed his lips to Ed's, getting an eager reply from the shorter alchemist.
Back in reality Eric sighed as he looked up at the clock. 10:52AM and it was still snowing outside. It was then that the phone began ringing. Seeing as Eric didn't live there, he didn't take the time to pick it up. The answering machine got it.
"HEY! ROY!" Eric twitched. Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes. "I was just calling to say hi!" 'Like HELL that's true,' "Oh and did I tell you that Elysia," Eric twitched, stalked over to the phone, picking it up.
"Lieutenant Colonel, as much as I'd like to let you annoy Mustang-taisa, I'm in the room and don't want to deal with your shit, " Eric growled, fangs bared.
"Gene-chuusa!" Maes yelped, " Mizu said you'd be there!" Eric raised his eyebrow.
"She did?" He asked, turning his attention to his fingernails. "Can I talk to her?"
"Sure," Maes said. A minute later Mizu's voice came over the phone.
"Oh, hey Eric," She said, the grin evident in her voice. "What up with Flamey? We're snowed into the building over here," Eric chuckled.
"Yeah, same here. Mustang-taisa's fine," He replied, leaning back against the counter. "Though, last I checked on Major Elric, I think he was having a wet dream," Mizu chuckled.
Switch to Eastern Headquarters.
Mizu chuckled, getting everyone in the room, Hawkeye, Havoc, Fuery and a woman with long hair tied up into a bun and sharp eyes to glance at her in curiosity. Rolling her eyes she replied, "Eric, give me a min', everyone's starin'," Turning around she glanced at everyone in the room.
"Hawkeye-san, Fuery-souchou, Havoc-shoui, Hughes-chuusa, Flamma-junshou," She acknowledged, nodding at each one in turn. She decided it was best to tell them the truth, seeing as it would get out someway or another. "My laughing's caused by, oh, should I say it? Yes, I shall, knowing he's not here. A certain shrimp..."
Back in the dream Ed was having, he sneezed.
"Is currently experiencing what we know as hidden emotions. Expressed through a dream," Flamma and Maes laughed, Hawkeye just sighed and returned to her work, Havoc snorted and Fuery blushed. Mizu grinned, turning back to the phone. "So, Eric. What's up?"
"Well..." Mizu could tell the man was wrapping the cord of the phone around his fingers. "Er, how long do those two have?" Face hardening, she stole a quick glance at Flamma, who nodded and picked up the phone on her desk so as to join in on the conversation.
"Gene-chuusa," Flamma said sharply, "The Flame and Fullmetal, having been subject to amateurish chimerical fusion of the highest levels, have, at the most, six months. At the least, three months," Eric gasped.
"Eric," Mizu intervened, rubbing the bridge of her nose, "That's the facts. Had Flamma or I done it, it would have at least taken them a year. At the most three."
Eric didn't speak for a moment, apparently thinking about something. "Wait... you taught him, didn't you Mizu? Can't you just reverse it yourself?" Mizu's smile was grim.
"No, I can't. I wouldn't even be able to begin unwinding the D.N.A without knowledge of what it is," Sighing, Mizu began scribbling some notes on a piece of paper. "The normal human body is made of many components, most easy to get a hold of. Basically all you'd need is a child's allowance to buy the components. But as with a ferahomo hominis, fehonis for short, body, the body components are of a different concentration. I myself am a cattus volucris lacerta fehonis, Flamma is a volucris lacerta fehonis, your brother is a thylacinus fehonis and I well know that you are a lupus fehonis. Knowing those who I grew up with, more than likely the croceus flamma lupus fehonis that I know is the one who taught him this form of chimerical fusion."
Everybody in the office save Flamma had gotten lost at about the part about the fehonis.
"As an often disregarded branch of chimerical fusion, Fehonis chimerical fusions are few in number and nearing being made into a taboo due to the difficulties of the transmutations. Fewer than a hundred living beings know how to do it and even fewer can do it right. Though, as fate is a cruel mistress, the one I mentioned died last year in a car accident. His name was Sinan, best known as the Legend Alchemist, for his fehonis abilities. Only he could reverse the transformation that Edward and Roy are going through without needing to chase the one who did it. Now the only person in Amestris who can do it is your brother, my student, the Honkytonk Alchemist."
"Um," Eric said, apparently blinking, "Ya lost me," Mizu sweatdropped, putting her pen down.
Flamma sighed, answering Eric's unspoken question. "Simply put, it is of the utmost importance that we apprehend Honkytonk as soon as possible. We do not need the Flame and Fullmetal to be fehonis’. For then the higher ups will discover that we are in the military.”
Back at Roy’s house, Eric sighed, replying with a quick yes, hanging up the phone and looking upwards. “God, why are you so cruel to those two? One for a mistake? The other for a war? This is not right. They have paid for their sins. They have suffered enough. Must you really curse them? Among those who deserve your wrath, they are not that high upon your list, are they? Being alchemists, they may not believe in you, but I do. So I pray for them. I weep for their sins, I help them. Must they truly deserve what you place upon them?”
Up in Roy’s bedroom, Ed bolted awake with a start. Bringing his hand to his lips, he blushed. Had he really, did he just? Looking over, all Ed saw was a small, black dog curled up in the bed. ‘Mustang has a dog?’ Ed though to himself as he slipped out of the bed, thankful that he at least had his boxers on.
Yawning, Ed left the room, set on finding the kitchen so that he could have some breakfast. Scratching one of his ears instinctively, he groaned. ‘Oh, yeah, I’m a chimera now. Winry’ll love it when she sees what happened to my automail,’ Ed shivered, remember the monstrous wrench that Winry usually had. ‘Now I just hope that she doesn’t kill me.’
