New AN: Hey guys. Thanks for all your support, motivation, encouragement, and understanding. It's been four long months, but I'm finally back. I bet you thought I forgot aboutchya, didn't you? No! XD I'll never forgetttt! However, I DID forget the original storyline I was following, so...... >>;;; I don't know what's going to happen to the story. XD I had this whole chapter's outline done, but now I don't remember ;-;

x09-c, you so made me smile. Thank you! I wasn't going to start this chapter for a little while, but since you were so kind, I'm writing it a whole week ahead of time. XD I'm glad that you liked the previous chapter, I was looking at it and hoping that people would. Thanks once again!! (Although, by the time I post this up, it'll probably be late. XD Hard to believe that my 'regular update' is supposed to be Fridays!)

Oh, and in addition: This chapter will be from Ed's POV. I know that the format my writing's in doesn't really have anyone as the 'usual' POV, so by this I mean that we'll focus more on what he's doing and feeling and thinking, rather than on Michi.

Ed thought about what had happened just a few hours ago. He had taken Michi on a date, and......

Dammit dammit dammit!

..He'd kissed her. Why had he done that? He hadn't been planning to, but something about her just screamed 'show me how you feel'. The only issue was, Ed didn't know how he did feel. Alright, deep down, he really did, but he wasn't about to admit that..

'Dammit.. I've put her in danger now... I can't let this continue.. Dammit! Just once, I'd like --' Ed didn't finish his thought, but instead shook his head vigorously. 'Now what do I do?'

Ed sighed. There was no getting out of it. He was stuck with her, and she was stuck with him.. In danger. His only option was to get to this friend of hers as quickly as possible. After they'd spent the whole day sidetracked, they had to make up for lost time now. Looking around, he sighed again. It was pitch black. There would be no travelling tonight -- everyone was too exhausted.

So there Ed sat, looking out at the full moon shining down onto him, like a spotlight from the sky, contemplating.

Ed sighed, recalling the memory. Michi definitely had been scared of his rejection. She had been scared to move forward, and he had taken that and moved forward for her. But now what? 'I don't like her, so why did I do that for??' he thought irritatedly. There was another part of his mind though, arguing back.

'What do you mean you don't like her? If you didn't, then why did you do that for? It's obvious you do like her, hello?'

"No, I don't. I can't. There are more important things to worry about, besides, everything has an equal exchange. For this, who knows what might happen??"

'If anything happens, the two of you will be together, besides.......... Think about the kiss...... It was --'

"NO!" Ed yelled out, shaking his head trying to clear it of the unwanted thoughts.

Michi stirred, yawned, then sat up beside him. "Huh? What is it Ed?" she asked sleepily, rubbing her eyes.

Ed jumped, panicked. "N-nothing! Go back to sleep Michi, we have to leave early tomorrow, to make up for the delay we had today."

"Are you sure?" she asked, moving so she was closer to him. "If there's anything bothering you, you can tell me, Ed. I'm here to listen to you, you know that right?"

"Y-yeah... Just go to sleep though, it's nothing. Plus, if you're tired you're gonna pass out on the way there, and I ain't picking you up."

"You're so mean, Ed.........." Michi pouted, then smiled. "G'night Ed," she said, laying back down.

"Good night, Michi.." He said, and stared at her until he heard her breathing get softer.

'Ugh!! Why does that girl have so much control over how I feel??!'

'Because you lovvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........'

"I do not!"

"Okay, okay, you don't. So that kiss was absolutely nothing, your feelings of jealousy mean nothing, you're just a weird little kid, who doesn't love anyone and only thinks about helping his brother.'

"Exactly."

'Okay then.'

"What?"

'Nothing.'

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?" Ed asked himself, a twinge of annoyance in his voice.

Silence.

"WHAT?"

'Ed and Michi sitting in a treeeeeee--'

"GAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!"

Okay, sorry it was so short guys, I'm trying to get back into the flow of writing stuff. Oh, and Ed isn't a schitzophrenic, he's just talking to himself the way people do when they aren't sure of themselves. What? You guys don't do that? Maybe it's just me XD Oh well.
