Fushigi Yuugi Fan Fiction ❯ A New Page ❯ Taiitsukun ( Chapter 10 )
Disclaimer: Fushigi Yuugi ain't mine.
AN: Thanks for all the wonderful reviews! Sorry this is so short, I'll try to put up the next chapter a lot sooner. If anyone wants to see anyone besides Chichiri/Tasuki and Hotohori/Nuriko just tell me, and I'll consider it. If it's really popular, I'll definitely put it in. Ok, enough babble, on with the story.
Genrou blinked and sighed in relief. "Good, it was just a nightmare…"
"What was just a nightmare, Tasuki?" A very angry woman's voice asked.
"Ah! Uh… Nothing…" Genrou lied, sweatdropping.
Taiitsukun grunted.
"Ohayo, Genrou," Houjun smiled at the younger man.
"What the hell happened?" Genrou demanded.
"You passed out," Houjun answered simply.
"Oh…" Genrou blinked.
"Now that that's settled, we can get back to business," the old woman's voice said.
"Arigatou, Taiitsukun," Myst answered, then continued. "I need your answer in the morning. The others might also have to be brought into this. I'd like to keep Miaka and Taka out of this, because they're living happily now, but if necessary, I'll bring them here as well."
"Yeah, but why us?" Genrou asked.
"Because you were the last two to die in this world, therefore you two are closest to it. You were here longer then the others. So, naturally, you were the first ones to remember and so I brought you here. I admit, I helped some memories along. But, you were already aware of your past selves before I revived all of your memories," Taiitsukun explained.
"I understand, but after this is over, will we remember everything?" Houjun asked.
"It all depends, I cannot say anything for certain, because as I said, my sister is re-writing the book. We are almost puppets for her, but… Suzaku has made certain we can make our own choices. The Four Gods are very unhappy with her, but while she is in control of the book, she's in control of destiny," Myst sighed, and turned away a little.
"It's hard for you, ne?" Houjun asked gently.
Genrou bit back a scowl. How come he's so nice to her? He's almost acting like he likes her. What the hell do I care if he does?! He's not… He couldn't like me like that. I'm just a fool.
"Hai, demo, it's ok. I'll lead you two to your room," Myst said.
"Our room?" Genrou asked, confused.
Myst laughed. "Nyan-Nyan had a little accident when casting a spell, you see. So, we're short on rooms. There's only three usable rooms right now. I hope that isn't a problem."
"I don't wanna know…" Houjun said, smiling and shaking his head. "Nyan-Nyan hasn't changed a bit."
Genrou blinked, and looked between the two sharing an inside joke and bit back his anger.
"Come on, let's get goin," Genrou said, a slight bit of anger in his voice, and he stormed out of the room.
"What's his problem?" Myst asked.
"He's probably just tired," Houjun suggested shrugging.
Taiitsukun sighed and resisted the urge to hit her ex-pupil and Myst over the head with a mallet. Lovers are so dense. I thought only Hotohori could be that ignorant of another man's feelings. But, I suppose in the end, he held a lot back…
