Houjun smiled to himself on the way to tutor Genrou and Kouji. The poor boys were going stir crazy after being grounded a week. Genrou and Kouji were so difficult, but they seemed happy to see anyone other then the other for even three hours a day, because of sheer boredom. Houjun hadn't had much chance to talk to Genrou alone again since that day, but there had been almost a friendship between himself and the fiery tempered teen.

I have to do something about them soon though. They're going kill each other if they don't get out of the house soon. But what could I do? Houjun thought. Slowly a mischievous grin appeared on his face.

"I have a different idea for today's lessons," Houjun said with a small smirk.

"Oh great…" Kouji sighed.

"Why am I suddenly afraid?" Genrou asked the ceiling.

"I think you'll be quite pleased, since it gets you out of the house for three hours today. But if you're really not interested, you can write essays instead…" Houjun said, a smirk on his face. Both Genrou and Kouji jumped right up to him.

"We're interested! We're interested!" they shouted in unison. Houjun laughed softly.

"We're going on a field trip today," Houjun said simply.

"A WHAT?!?" the two screamed indignantly.

"You want to get out of the house, right? It's the only way I could convince your mother to let me get you out. So, we're going to a museum. It's not much, but it's out of the house for three hours," Houjun offered.

"Hell, it's better then staying here with Gay-boy another day! He's driving me mad! If I hear Final Fantasy one more time I'm gonna kill him!" Kouji said.

"Yeah, and if I hear Mortal Combat one more time, I'm gonna kick your ass to the moon!" Genrou said. "And don't call me gay!"

"Calm down! Come on, I'll drive you to the museum, but please don't ill each other till we get there. Then you can go your separate ways for a while," Houjun said, sighing.

"Good! Let's go!" The two said and literally dragged Houjun downstairs.

Twenty minutes later…

"Look at that!" Kouji said pointing to a sword.

"Huh?" Genrou asked.

"Hey look here, it says this sword belonged to Emperor Saihitei oh the Konan Empire," Houjun read. A flash appeared in both Genrou and Houjun's minds of a beautiful man with long hair and a soft smile.

Genrou looked at Houjun and raised an eyebrow. Houjun nodded.

"I'm going to look at the dinosaur stuff, see ya bro!" Kouji said.

"Meet back here in an hour and a half, Kouji!" Houjun called. Kouji just waved as he went on his way.

"Who was that guy…?" Genrou asked, thoroughly shocked.

"Hotohori…" Houjun whispered.

"Wasn't he that emperor guy in love with Miaka, from the dream?" Genrou asked, scratching his head.

"Hai, I think so," Houjun answered.

"This is freaky as hell…" Genrou said, sighing.

"It does seem odd. I still don't understand some of the dreams. Like about our deaths…" Houjun trailed off.

"Yeah, even Kouji had the same dream. He was a buddy o' mine in that life, like a brother. Hey, if all that crap about our past lives was true, shouldn't Miaka and Taka be around somewhere?" Genrou asked.

"Good point, perhaps we should look for them, and then we'll know if all this is true or not," Houjun said.

"Yeah, one problem, I ain't got no fuckin' internet," Genrou said leaning against a railing looking down at the people on the next floor.

"Hmm, I'll look then and tell you if I find anything," Houjun offered.

"As weird as all this stuff is, it feels… I dunno, familiar…" Genrou said frowning in thought.

"Hai, it does. Only thing that leaves me unsettled is the dream when we died together… It's not the death, but what were we in a past life…?" Houjun asked, more to himself.

"I dunno, but it's got Kouji callin' me gay all the time, since he's had that dream too," Genrou said annoyed.

"Wasn't he a friend of yours in that past life?" Houjun asked.

"Yeah, he was. My best friend. It's kinda cool that we're bros now. I always called him aniki when we were young. Now he really is," Genrou said with a grin.

"Looks like you got lucky in this life. I still have a good deal of the same problems, but at least they're still alive," Houjun said sadly. He sighed and walked off.

Genrou turned and watched him leave.

"It's not fucking fair you have to suffer; you should be with her in this life. But… Somehow, I'm almost glad you're not…" Genrou whispered, and walked off after him.
