No one every really pays attention to me. Everyone else has a very set idea of what they can do, and my only ability is to be smart! How does that help protect the priestess? And of course it doesn't help that I'm years younger than everyone. How do I get the attention that I deserve?

Well, being as intelligent as you are, you can get the priestess and the others out of danger quickly and without resorting to blood shed. For example, remember when you guys got stuck on that island that was completely dominated by females? It was your quick thinking that helped to get everyone to safety. Granted, that didn't turn out to well, but hey! It's not your fault that Mitsusake doesn't fit the role of a cross dresser like everyone else! To get attention, you can try acting your age. I mean, you're what, 13 years old? (Hey! That's how old I am!) Have everyone swarm around you screaming, "Awwwwww, isn't he the cutest little genius you've ever seen?" by acting like a two year old. Pretend you're hurt and start crying. That'll get some attention! Or, you could intentionally lead everyone into grave danger (not that they need help doing that...) and get everyone to focus on you. Let the hound you for an idea of how to get out of the mess that they're in. If all else fails, you could just run away. They'd all be so worried and fretting over what happened to their master genius. Hell, if you feel like it, you could get some kicks and go team up with Artemis Fowl. He's 13, he's a genius! You'll get loads of attention...as a criminal. Um, maybe you shouldn't join him. *Sweatdrop* Anyway, don't worry! You get a lot of attention from one of my friends! (Um...yeah, she loves you a lot...)
