Suzaku Seven Challenges
A cool rush of crisp, autumn wind blew through the forest where Miaka leaned on an old log. Feeling her auburn hair ruffled, and coming out if her daydream, she sat up.
"How-how long have I been here?" She muttered to herself, eyes searching the scenery. As if in a trance, she continued gazing at the lush atmosphere, but was soon returned to reality by a loud, familiar insult, followed by a loud thud. Obviously, one of Tasuki and Nuriko's pointless quarrels.
"Ow! Damnit! At least I know what sex I am!" The red head yelled, receiving a smack in the back of the head.
"At least I carry respect for the opposite sex!" Nuriko said with a snort. Sighing and running over to the warriors, Miaka stopped the quarrel.
"Will you two stop?!" She yelled, half annoyed, half upset. Nuriko turned to her, guilt reflected in his eyes.
"I apologize, Miaka." He said, turning and trudging off, head slightly lowered.
Miaka watched and the warrior disappeared over the hill, and then turned her gaze toward Tasuki. Their eyes met, but the other warrior only snorted. Rising and gusting himself off, Tasuki walked off in the opposite direction. Miaka sighed and walked away also. Wanting to return to her previous activities, she broke into a slight jog.
Catching sight of yet another warrior, Mistakake. The doctor was sitting cross-legged in the grass, herbs placed in front of him.
"Meditating, leave him be." Said a voice. Miaka slowly turned and came to face with Tamahome.
Heart skipping a beat, Miaka took a breath and exhaled. "I was."
With that the blue haired man nodded and continued on his way. Miaka did so as well. Continuing down into the greenery, Miaka felt a chill down her spine.
"T…tama..home..?" The girl stuttered. Her answer was a figure cloaked in black. Jumping back, Miaka let out a cry. The figure grunted and grabbed Miaka, throwing her over his shoulder and running off. Miaka let out another cry of despair, and was overcome by black.
Mistakake's eyes shot open as he leapt to his feet. Leaving the herbs behind, he ran straight for the palace.
"MIAKA!!" He cried every few seconds. He came toward Chiriko and Chichiri. Chiriko stood up first, young eyes full of concern.
"I cannot find Miaka," Mistakake informed between pants.
