Authoress Note: Hello all. I am starting this little collection of Fushigi Yugi poems, all to be posted separately, entitled “Yume”. The number of the entry next to it. I figured since these characters need more love, I would do this. To start off our little collection is Nuriko’s.

You know don’t you?
It must be so obvious to you.
The one man I will forever love
The one I want to be happy
The one I long for…
Whenever I dream…
Whenever I eat…
Whenever I think…
Your deep voice penetrates all
Catches me, even as I walk by.
Why?
It’s because you're you.
Hotohori…
You love her don’t you?
It’s because she’s the priestess of Suzaku?
Or is it because she’s a cute little girl?
…
I’m jealous.
I know it isn’t any of those.
You aren’tthat shallow…
Not like I was.
When I thought I would get away with it.
When I thought it could happen
When I thought you would love me too…
When I cried over you, I was being bratty…
At first I hated her…
Even hated you…
I moved on.
Because I love you.
You got married to a wonderful woman.
Had a cute son.
Of course you should be proud.
Of course you should be happy.
That makes me happy.
I don’t care if you don’t want to hear it.
I don’t care if your sick of it.
Here’s what I still think.
