The Commoner and The Prince
Once Upon A Time..
There lived a beautiful Commoner who lived with her 2 Cousin's and evil Aunt.
The Aunt was envious of the commoner's beauty,But proud of her eldest daughter Misaki's elegant
beauty,and perfection except That she cared for Mikan the Commoner, And
her youngest daughter Sumire. Who was not very pretty and had her mothers snobby attitude.
"Mikan Hurry Down the Stair's I made Breakfest!" Her Cousin Misaki Shouted down in the kitchen.
"Yes Misaki-Sama!!" Mikan shouted working on cleaning Sumire's Room.
Oh Grandfather, Why did you send me to town to find wed a man? Im Only an 18 year old for heaven's sake.
As The Beautiful Commoner cleaned the whole house she decided to visit her
friends, But First she had to bathe. It would be silly for her friends to see her chestnut brown her in tangles and
her hand's dirty with her dress wrecked. Plus her Aunt and Cousin Sumire where shopping for
new dresses as for her eldest cousin was outside for tea with her lovely boyfriend and friends.
Mikan washed her silky hair and rubbed her body so it would be clean. Mikan Hummed Her Favorite Tune
while she heared laugh's From the Town She Lived in. The Wonderful Amazing Town Alice.
As the Commoner dressed in another dress Misaki secretly gave her instead of giving it to sumire. The
Dress was Pink with a White Collar and Pink line running across the white collar. The Waist Part
had a Maid like Apron with a Lacy Outline and the pink sleeves had Hand Cuffs/Collars with a yellowish golden
button holding the cuffs/collars perfectly. And the End of the dress had a thick lace outline.As for the Apron like part,
It had a Perfectly tied bow. Mikan wore Brown Shoes Matching the Dress. The Dress Reminded her of the days
with her Family and grandparents. She Missed the days,But wearing the dress made her feel like an 11 yearold again.
Mikan wore her hair as half tied low pig tails and sat with the rest on her shoulders and back.
"Misaki-sama! Im Going to town to play around with my friends!~" Mikan said slipping on her brown shoes
"Have a wonderful Time Mikan!~" Misaki called back as Mikan smiled. She loved her 21 year old cousin Misaki for her
caring behaviour to Mikan, But She Knew Misaki would Wed To Ando-sama and leave the house leaving Mikan with
her evil aunt and Sorta Evil cousin.
Mikan Ran Out of the house towards Town Central where her friends would usually hang out. "Konnichiwa Minna!~!"
Mikan shouted waving her right hand and running towards them.
"Konnichiwa Mikan-san" Everyone Chorused with a smile or a wave.
"Mikan did you hear?! There is going to be a grand ball 5 days from now!" Yuu Spoke while the girls squealed
Mikan frowned "Gomen Minna, I dont think Im Coming.."
The Commoner frowned as the wind pushed past everyone. Remembering the last grand ball a few year's back.
She never got to go to any where except for The Streets of Alice. She Never saw the king's face, She never saw
The prince's face. She heared that he was handsome and that was about it.
"Couldnt you talk to Misaki about it? Im Sure She'll allow you to go after all..She Is Going to be Engaged to the King's Assistant's son"
Nonoko said as everyone agreed
"it's possible I would be allowed to go.." Mikan Murmered
"It's Certain that you're going, After all Everyone Girl has to come and One Out of thousands of girls could be wedded to Prince Natsume"
Hotaru spoke fixing Kokoro's watch
"Natsume..That sounds familiar.." Mikan whispered to herself
"Of course its familiar dummy, he's the prince" Sumire said behind Mikan "Hurry and run home Mother will be outraged seeing you with
my ribbons I let you borrow and Including the 1900 Rabbit I gave you"
"Sumire-sama!!" Mikan Shouted while turning around to see her leaning againest the wall "Arigotou Gozaimasu for telling me!"
The Commoner ran away as fast as she could to her home as she reached the inside she rushed past Tsubasa
who was quite suprised. Mikan Quickly changed into her dirty rags and hid the dress deep in the closet that had a second layer of
dresses o_O. She Finished changing and sighed placing herself on the bed reading a book.
"Father! Who said I agreed to have a ball AND Marry one of the commoners?!" Natsume roared as he walked into his father's Office
"Natsume-sama! King Narumi is out of the kingdom for..deserts.." Ruka spoke, still suprised of Natsume's outrage.
Natsume raised a brow "He allow's himself to go out of the kingdom and Im not?" Natsume muttered rolling his eyes.
"Natsume-sama, he doesnt allow you to go out because you'll probably escape to the country and try to find this foolish Mikan girl"
His Father's Assistant Jinno said walking into the room."She's a girl from the country and its been 8 Year's Natsume-sama she probably is married to a country boy and forgotten about you"
The Prince Stood there shocked and angered by Jinno's words. Mikan Would never marry another man..Would she?
The prince pushed past Ruka, Jinno and opened the door and walked out. Passing his father along the way.
The Commoner pushed back the book into the shelf and sang softly to herself. After Finishing her song she walked out to
greet her Aunt and Sumire.
