chapter 2- Blackmail, Cheating, and Blackmagic

It's been two weeks since the guys had saved Miriyai from fox demons and learned about the truth. She was a demon but she too had a limiter, except it cut her off from her demon powers. She was travling with a guys just until they came upon the next village.

She was an interesting one...she was usually quiet and solemn but she would add her thoughts and comments into conversations. The one thing that Sanzo appreciated about her presences was that she was able to get Gojyo and Goku to stop fighting.

She was big sister like to Goku, she had ways of getting food for him when their supplies were gone. Not once during the trip did Goku whine about being starving. Hakkai knew that there was to her past then she had told them...

When they finally reached the village the occupants completely ignored Miri. Gojyo turned to her "I take it that this is your village." she nodded quietly. "You can leave if you want..." Goku smiled "Nah...I want to see where you live." she nodded "If you really want to...but it isn't exactlly pleasant..." Gojyo raised an eyebrom in curiosity.

When she arrived she tapped lightly on the door. A fat rich women opened the door. As soon as she saw Miri she glared and backhanded her. "You ungrateful bitch! We give a roof to live under! Food to eat! Clothe to make yourself clothing! and Water to bathe in! How do you repay us?! BY RUNNING AWAY!!!"

Goku ran to help Miri up. She looked down at the ground "Yes...sorry mistress. I'll be more grateful to you." Gojyo glared at the women "H-"he was cut off by a look from Miri. She bowwed to them and said quietly "Thank you for your help...Farewell' with that she went into the house. Hakkai sighed and shook his head as him and the others walked towards an inn. "I see why she didn't care about her life..." Gojyo snarled "I would have punched that bitches face in!"

Sanzo rolled his eyes and payed the innkeeper for a room. "Although I must say that slavery of demons is the worst crime and sin of all for humans." Goku gave a confused look "Hmmm?" the moon shone in the sky. "I'll explain it in the morning...let's get some sleep we'll"

Gojyo glared "I'm not leaving untill that fat cow frees Miriyai! I would think that Goku and Hakkai would agree." Sanzo fell back onto the bed with an exasperated groan "Fine three days tops but we need to get going!"

(next day)

Miri limped slightly while carrying a basket for her ladies food. She passed by Gojyo with her head down. It hurt her to be so cold to the people that saved her life. As she passed an alley a man garbed in gray called quietly... "You burn with hatred" she froze and turned to look at the man "What-" he pointed to her armlet "I can help you get to your demonic powers...come with me..." she looked at him and hesitantly nodded.

Following him through darkness till they reached a small opening in the middle of the forest. Out of no where four vines shot out. One grabbed her left ankle the other her right, another grabbed her left wrist and then her right wrist.

She was lifted up and held still. The mans' eyes shone red as he grinned an evil smile. "You foolish bitch! No I'll destroy that limiter and let loose the reign of hell! THE ELEMENT DRAGON SHALL REIGN AGAIN!"

Miri screamed in pain.

Gojyo shot up awake in his bed. Sweat trickled down his face...something wasn't right! Hakkai looked at him "What's wrong Gojyo?" Gojyo looked over at his friend "I think that Miris' been kidnapped..."

Goku,Sanzo,Hakkai, and Gojyo rushed over to the fat cows house. Gojyo pounded on the door. A young female slave answered "Yes?" Hakkai bowwed "Sorry to bother you but is Miriyai here?"

The servant teared up "No she hasn't returned since she was sent to get food nine hours ago..." Gojyo eyes shrunk "shit" he turned and ran down the streets. The others followed closey behind him.

He screached to a stop as the sight of Miris' basket lyeing in the middle of a dark alley. That alley lead into the forest. "Shit" he said again and ran into the forest.

Miri screamed pain shot through her whole body the man laughed "Ever single passing minute it gets' weaker soon it will break!" she gasped for air. Tears streamed down her face along with blood. The vines had dug deep into her wrists and ankles inventually cutting into her skin causing her to bleed.

Out of nowhere four flashes of light cut the vines and she fell into someones arms. Her eyesight was blurry from the pain and high fever that began. She could make out the familiar redish pink hair and the red eyes...Gojyo.

Sanzo aimed his banisher gun at the man. The man roared in anger "You bastards I almost succeded in destroying her limiter! I'll kill you!!!" Goku snarled in anger and hit the man or should I say demon in the face "Shoot him already Sanzo!" with that said the demon vaporized into tiny specks of silver dust.

Hakkai checked her tempiture "Damn, she has a high fever we have to get her inside quickly!" Gojyo lifted her quite light body into his arms and along with the others ran out of the forest.

Goku sat on top of a chair biting his lip. Sanzo was leaning against a wall while Gojyo sat across from the bed in which Miris' unconscious body lay. After a while Hakkai wipped his hands on a towel next to him and smiled "She'll be okay. The fever is going down".

Goku let out a sigh of relief and then lost his balance and fell crashing on to the table "Owww" Hakkai shook his head and then headed to the bathroom. Sanzo hit Goku on the head with his fan and then went to join Gojyo.

Gojyo sat indian style arms folded across his chest and his eyes in narrowed slits. "What caused her to go with that jerk in the first place?" Gojyo shook his head "He probably told her that he could help her with her demon blood."

Hakkai came back in to join them "A second later and she would have either died or the limiter would have broke. It is still quite weak." Goku looked from Miri to Gojyo then back to Miri. A sly smirk crossed his face "Gojyo..you have a crush on Miriyai don't you?" Gojyos' face fell and then a lite pink covered his cheeks he then tackled Goku "SHUT UP MONKEY MIDGET!!!" "DON'T CALL ME A MONKEY!!!" "I'LL CALL YOU WHATEVER THE HELL I PLEASE!!!" "OH YEAH!!!" " YEAH!!!" "WHY YOU LITTLE!!! GET OVER HERE SO I CAN STRANGLE YOU!!!" " HAVE TO CATCH ME FIRST SLOWPOKE!!!" "SLOWPOKE I'LL SHOW YOU WHOSE THE SLOWPOKE AROUND HERE!!!"

Hakkai sighed "It's been awhile since those two have fought like that..." Sanzo smiled "You know what Hakkai...I think that you're right". Gojyo collapsed into a chair out of breath and Goku was busy nursing his wounds.

"So what do you think happened to her?" Hakkai frowned "I think that the demonic energy was to much for her to take at once but to still be held back. Thus it effected her body terribly and caused her to get a fever."

Gojyo nodded and brushed a strand of hair from her face. "I feel bad for her." Hakkai nodded " I know what you mean I know what you mean..."
