LOSING ITS IMPORTANCE

Prologue: An Unexpected Guest

After the incident of Sanzo's nightmare, the four set out on a new path, a new adventure, and a new goal: to stop Homura from creating a new world, as well as keeping him away from Sanzo.

"Hey Hakkai! Aren't we supposed to be heading back? It's burning hot out here!!" complained Gojyo.

"Gojyo, be patient. And alert. Homura, Zeon or Shien are bound to show up," said Hakkai.

"You're right. Especially since we left the baka saru with the bimbo bozui.." said Gojyo, who was trying to fantasize what Goku might be doing to Sanzo about now.

At the inn, Goku was watching Sanzo sleeping peacefully. Sanzo hadn't recovered much from his `nightmare fight', due to the distractions of Kanzeon Bosatsu. But in the end, Sanzo was able to make his way to this inn with his companions.

In his mind, Goku was worried about Sanzo, that he might not be able to make it. "Sanzo.. Please.. Don't leave me.. I need you.. so much.." said Goku, as he began so shed tears beside Sanzo's bed.

After a while, Sanzo regained some consciousness and looked around the room. All he saw was Goku beside his bed, crying like the gaki he is.

"Hey, baka saru!" said Sanzo, who put a hand on Goku's head, as Goku suddenly reacted to his master's action.

"Sanzo!! You're alive!!" said Goku in disbelief.

Sanzo was thinking of whacking the gaki, but thought again and forgot about it. That was only because he didn't have any good reason to whack him for..

"What are you talking about? Of course I'm alive! Who wouldn't?!" said Sanzo.

Suddenly, a girl came into the room. She was around Goku's height or taller. She was obviously a gaki around the age of 13.

"Hey! Hello Kaize! What are you doing here?" asked Goku, who suddenly seemed to bounce off the stool and walks toward the gaki.

"Ohayou Goku-san!" replied Kaize, who had obviously been checking up on Sanzo. She turned to the bed where Sanzo laid and saw him awake.

"Sanzo-sama! Ohayou!" said Kaize, carrying some sort of food carton.

"..Uhm.. Who are you?" asked Sanzo in confusion, and for once, not getting irritated.

"Oh! I forgot!" said Kaize, who clears her throat. "My name is Kaize Yumezo. I'm 13 years old.. Well, actually 12.. My birthday is on the 1st of December. I'm a big fan of your group, Sanzo-sama." Said Kaize, who then smiled.

Sanzo adjusted himself on his bed and noticed the food carton Kaize was holding. "What's that?" asked Sanzo, nodding toward the carton.

"Oh.. this? It's for you. It's stir fried noodles with red pickled ginger," replied Kaize, which Sanzo was surprised.

"Eh? Kaize? How'd you know that Sanzo likes red pickled ginger with his fried noodles?" asked Goku.

"It's a secret!!" said Kaize. "Well, I best be off! See you around, Sanzo sama!" said Kaize, as she walked to the door and left the room.

"She's friendly.." was the only thing Sanzo said before eating what Kaize had given him.

After a while, Hakkai and Gojyo came back with food for the bunch.

"Hakkai! You won't believe what just happened!!" said Goku in excitement.

"Really? Well, Goku. Go on and tell me what happened," said Hakkai in reply.

Gojyo, being as stubborn as he is, grabbed a food carton and sat miserably on the table. He soon started feasting on his fried noodles. Soon, Goku had finished telling Hakkai about Kaize.

"Really? That's unbelievable.." said Hakkai, as he, too, got a food carton and began eating it.

"Yeah! It was cool!" said Goku.

Sanzo didn't mind the two talking about Kaize. He'd just finished eating his stir-fried noodles from Kaize as he looked into the carton. There, he found a small message written on it.

Wanna spend the day with me, Sanzo-sama? It may sound creepy to spend a day with a kid, but I'll make your day fun! Besides, I've gotta give you something! ~Kaize Yumezo
