For Love
Hello all! This story was at ff.net but I decided to post it here and make some much needed changes at the same time. Trust me, it does get better. Umm...yeah, lately, I've been unable to update my ff.net account so new chapters may not appear there for a while. Just thought I'd let anyone who read at both sites know. This is my favourite grav. Pairing (well, Y/S too of course) and since there aren't that many fics about it, I've decided to do my part. Here goes.
I don't own Gravitation. Kids probably shouldn't be reading this although I don't see it getting too graphic, there will be at least a lime eventually. Enjoy.
It was an ordinary day at NG productions. Shuichi was crying about his latest fight with Yuki, Hiro was attempting to comfort him, and Suguru was quietly playing on his keyboard. K watched it all dispassionately, cleaning his gun.
"Why would he say I was annoying? He always calls me a brat and baka. I'm not a baka, am I?" Shuichi turned his puppy dog eyes at the world in general.
"I know what will make you feel better," K said, standing up with a smile and carefully avoiding the question, "me not shooting you." He fired a quick round at the wall behind the singer, who screamed and jumped. "Get to work. We have a tour scheduled in the United States within the month."
"Alright K-san! I work hard, see?"
K smiled, it was going to be a good day.
****In a fancy restaurant at lunch Toma and Yuki are discussing Shuichi****
"So how are things going between you two? I noticed that he has been very happy lately. Just the other day Shuichi was yelling something about sharing a bed with you at night. It was very distracting." The smaller blonde watched Yuki carefully.
"Yes", said Yuki, "I have started letting the brat share my bed. I figured that the apartment was cold and it isn't like he takes up much space..." Yuki was making excuses and it was obvious to both Toma and himself. Toma hid his disappointment and said nothing for a while.
"Bad Luck is going to the United States for soon and since this means you will be separated from Shuichi, I thought you might be lonely. If you wanted you could-" He was cut off as a waiter came up to the table.
"Excuse me sir but are you Suguchi Toma? I have a note for you." He dropped off a sheet of paper and quickly walked away.
Roses are Red;
Coffins are Black.
You lie in my dreams,
With a knife in your back.
Toma read it aloud and looked up in annoyance. "I've been getting these for a while." He caught Yuki's expression, "don't worry, they don't mean anything."
Gun shots rang out.
Everyone was gathered in the waiting room of the hospital. K was talking to a police officer while another was getting people's alibi's for the time of the shooting.
"What do you mean you have no leads," K asked, "I can personally vouch for the whereabouts of everyone here: Hiro, Suguru and Shuichi were practicing their new song, Sakano-san was passed out on the floor-"
"Drugs?" the officer asked interestedly.
"No, fainted," K explained, "Ryuchi was coloring, the women were having coffee. Why don't you stop wasting your time and find the would be murders, if they've tried once they may try again. We will need an officer to protect Suguichi-san."
"I'm sorry, there are no officers free to play body guard. You will have to hire someone."
"Wait a minute, I was in the Secret Service and I know his rights, he needs a police trained body guard and he is going to have one." K's gun was in the officers face, gleaming in the dull hospital fluorescence. Surprisingly enough the man didn't appear fazed in the slightest. "Excellent. I am so glad you volunteered. I am sure you will make a great body guard. Meanwhile we will work on the case and update you as progress is made." The officer smiled and walked away, leaving K, for once, at a loss for words.
"I wasn't volunteering!" he shouted, "I have to go to America with Bad Luck! I don't do body guarding. I don't get along with him!" He turned to Toma who had just come back from having a bullet removed from his shoulder. His arm was in a sling and he didn't look happy, having caught the tail end of K's conversation with the officer.
"K-san, you have to go to America with Bad Luck. Who knows what will happen without you there to keep them in line? I will be fine. I can hire a body guard." Toma shook his head and winced as it caused his shoulder to move.
"I agree, I am going to America. You will have to come with me. You better get packing now let me see... you will need a passport, clothes, maybe a gun..." K looked at Toma and noticed the look on his face, "maybe not a gun but..." he kept listing items deemed "necessary" for the trip.
"I am going nowhere. I have plans with Yuki that cannot be avoided and-" Toma stopped talking as a gun was thrust against his temple.
"Trust me, those plans are avoidable. If you were to die, officer I'm-so-good-because-I-have-a-badge-look-at-me will never let me get over it. Pack. Now. We catch the plane in the morning."
