Gravitation Fan Fiction ❯ For the Love of Another ❯ Don't you get it? ( Chapter 1 )
Why hello yet again! Yep.. I'm posting a new fic yet again.. but this one should only go on for two more updates as it's based off an Rp. So the credit does not just go to me for writing this.. also my dear friend Memily. ^-^ She did an awesome job playing Ryuuichi and I'm so proud of her. **nods** All characters that may appear or are mentioned other then Yamashi belong to their rightful owners… the Yama-ness however is mine. ^o^ I hope you enjoy!
Yamashi trailed down one of the halls of NG Records, head held low to hide her tears. This week had been the worst. Seguchi had become more of an ass, K was pressuring her up the ying-yang about practicing and to top it off Hiro had decided Ayaka seemed more reasonable to be with. Could my day be any worse?
A door slammed not too far from her, standing outside a very stressed out Ryuuichi. He was ranting and raving at the door arms and legs flailing everywhere until finally the door opened and a pink stuffed bunny was thrown at him. Ryuuichi had disturbed another recording session by leaving his bunny in the room and demanding he have it back. He hugged the bunny tightly then leapt to his feet and began to skip towards the exit when he noticed the girl. "Lady" He shouted and waved at her.
She raised her head slowly, her hands fumbling to wipe away the tears on her cheeks and she turned her face to stare back at him, offering him the best smile she could "Ohaiyo, Sakuma-san."
Ryuuichi's skipping slowed down as he reached her, lowering his head slightly he could tell she had been crying. "Yama-chan..." he muttered out before taking the girl into a warm embrace. He wasn't the best comforter in the world nor was he the best listener but he never wanted to see her cry. "What's happened?"
Her eyes welled up with tears once more and she buried her face in his shoulder. Her hand came up to fist in the material of his shirt, her words coming out more as sobs, "Hiroshi left me.... He said I was too much to handle... he wouldn't even tell me what I was doing wrong..."
Ryuuichi's eyes widened and he held her tighter. His voice soften and seemed more mature "Why would he leave you... too much to handle is not a good enough reason…" He muttered out. "Baka…" He pulled back so he could see her face, offering her a reassuring Ryuuichi smile. "How about Ryu-chan talk to him yep ^^ uncle Ryuuichi can get him back for you ^^"
She stared back at him through clouded eyes. She knew he was trying to help but it wasn't working all that well "I... saw him and Ayaka-chan together today.... that's more the reason... then me being too much... maybe…"She sighed, lowering her head so that her forehead rested against his chest.
"Ayaka-chan...?" He could take a wild guess at who she was, watching the girl like this it made him glad he'd never had a relationship. He didn't like seeing people in pain like this. Returning his arms around her he held her gently resting his head upon hers lightly. "It'll be alright Yama-san"
After a moment a hiccup broke the silence and she chuckled softly, turning her eyes up. She smiled, kissing his cheek "You're a good man." She blinked, looking about "Where is Kuma-chan?"
He blinked slightly guessing all she needed right now was something to take her mind off it. "Here ^o^ had to fight off wild boars to get him this time ^o^ but he ok" He held the bunny out that had been stuffed into his pocket.
She smiled, taking the bunny from him and kissing it on the forehead "Must be good to have him back" She smiled up at him, however a tear still streamed down her cheek to land on the stuffed animals head. "I'm sorry.... I have to go..." She shoved the stuffed animal back toward him, taking off toward the doors.
"Ah... Yama-chan..." Stuffing the bunny back into his pocket he ran after her grabbing her by the arm, dragging her out of NG Records and down the road. He remained silent the whole way as he walked quite fast, pulling her arm to make her follow him.
Her eyes widened at his presence and she fumbled to not fall as she was dragged "Sa…Sakuma-san! What are you...?"
"Just follow me," He muttered out as he dragged her down street after street until finally coming to rest outside a medium sized house. He didn't let go of her until they reached the door. At which point he took out the keys and opened the door. "Go in" he said instructively which was odd for him but he wanted to make sure she would be ok.
He looked at him oddly, not understanding his behavior. She nodded slowly remembering he was very trustworthy and she moved into the house almost shyly, looking around "Is this.... your house?"
He soon followed, closing the door behind them and nodding slightly at the rooms that lay before them. All the layouts seemed pretty standard for a homeowner, bar the odd scribbles on the wall in permanent marker, and the papers strewn across the table in the main room of lyrics and drawings. His bedroom was an entirely different matter, soft things everywhere and drawings covering every wall. "Yep, this is my little house" he replied, only people to have seen it until now was Tohma and Noriko.
She blinked, turning around in her spot, looking over the room they were in before her eyes caught on him again "why'd you bring me here?"
"To make you a nice warm hot chocolate with marsh-mellows and fluffy milk ^^" He grinned to her and made his way into the kitchen. "Me and Kuma-chan don't have many videos. But your free to watch or borrow them anytime ^^" He shouted out from the kitchen as he started to boil the kettle. His video collection consisted of all of Nittle Graspers videos, a few cartoons, a couple of films and a few.
She blinked and nodded, scanning over said videos before looking over the things strewn on the walls. She managed to find her voice after a moment, calling back to him in the kitchen "Sakuma-san...." she paused. "How come there isn't a Mrs.?"
Ryuuichi was burrowing in the fridge when the question was asked. It caused him to freeze for a moment... there wasn't really a good reason for it. He'd never been tainted by that kind of emotion, and to add to that no one had ever asked him. Or he was just blind to it like with Tatsuha. He grabbed the milk and placed it on the counter closing the fridge. He really wasn't sure how he could answer it... "I dunno.." he finally voiced out.
She moved toward the kitchen, leaning against the doorframe, staring in at him. There was more to the reasoning behind Hiro leaving her but she wasn't willing to admit it to even herself yet "Are you, maybe, afraid of the commitment?"
He froze again then looked over at the doorway. Here he was a 31year old man who acted more like a 5 year old, whose only true love was his singing and his only true companion his pink stuffed bunny. He blinked slightly before regaining his wide grin again. "Never really thought about it ^o^" He smiled and whisked the milk to make it all fluffy.
Her eyes set on him, continuing to watch his every movement, her stance holding little emotion "What would you do if you were put in the predicament where someone confessed their love for you?" Her eyes held more of a questioning then a yearning as she kept her relaxed stance against the doorframe. She was curious in herself at where this need to question him had come from but couldn't seem to stop herself none the same.
Ryuuichi stopped more in thought rather than shock. He'd become accustomed to her unusual questions and tapped his lips with a spoon. "Who knows ^^" He smiled out as he set the spoon back down and poured the milk into the cups of chocolate. He smiled at the fluffy-ness of them then reached into the cupboard for the tin of marshmallows.
She lowered her eyes, sighing despite herself at his overly simple answers. She slid to sit down, wrapping her arms around her knees and staring at the floor "I'm such a wretch.... here I am thinking of someone else when I should be trying to win Hiro back.... after all he's the reason for being here... isn't he?"
Ryuuichi had just finished putting the marsh-mellows into the chocolates when she spoke. He looked down to her and pouted. He took the cups and joined her sitting on the floor, placing his cup to one side "Your no wretch at all... the mind is a big place ^^ Yama-chan has the right to think of anyone she likes ^^" He smiled taping her head lightly then held out the cup of chocolate to her. "I kinda went over board with marsh-mellows ^o^" The cup he handed to her had a pile of marsh-mellows the size of the cup on top of the actual drink.
She blinked, looking down at the cup and couldn't help but smile, plucking one of the marshmallows off and stuffing it in her mouth "That's so you." She sighed, turning her eyes up to him once more "But is it right to think of someone else when you should be thinking of the person you love?"
Ryuuichi's childish expression was taken over by the expression usually shown when singing, "The question is do you really love the one you say you 'should' be thinking of if you're thinking about someone else?" He looked at her seriously for a moment longer before picking up his cup of chocolate. His seriousness died instantly as he opened his mouth wide taking a bite out of the clump of marshmallows.
She smiled again, picking at the marshmallows on hers "But then it gets me into the subject of whether I can have... or deserve either of them..."
He chomped the marshmallows in his mouth and watched her closely. "Yama-chan's a lovely person ^^ she deserves anybody she likes ^^ yep-yep" He took a sip at the drink and winced. "Eep >.< hot-hot >.<" He squeaked, blowing on his burnt tongue and patting it as though trying to put out a fire.
She chuckled, moving to stand. Her expression took on a caring tone, her hand moving to cup his cheek "Even you?"
Ryuuichi wasn't that pleasant a site at that moment; his tongue out, his nose decorated with a lovely mushy marshmallow. "Ah..." He blinked slightly before looking directly back at her. "Me..?" He tilted his head to one side in her hand as though confused at what she was saying.
Her cheeks reddened faintly but she kept her smile "Yes... that's why Nakano left... because I couldn't take my mind off you..." She closed her eyes and lowered her face, her hand slipping from the contact with his skin. She knew the age difference was the biggest deal, something Hiro hadn't regretted to throw in her face.
Blinking some he rubbed his head lightly then wiped the marshmallow from his nose. "Well Nittle Grasper are reforming now ^^ Ryu-chan gets mail from people again. Hiro shouldn't hate you for thinking about a singer no da ^^" Ryuuichi never did have a clue but he did try his best when things weren't spelt out for him.
She sighed heavily, a vein popping on the side of her head at his ignorance at times. She was being stupid, she knew, but there was nothing left now that Hiro was gone for good and she seared her lips to the older man's, putting in as much feeling as she could before she quickly pulled away, taking a step back and averting her gaze to the floor. "Not as a singer...."
Ryuuichi's eyes widened at the contact, he'd never felt that before, it felt... comforting... He kind of didn't want her to pull away. He couldn't keep his eyes off her but he was speechless. That was one way at least of making it obvious to him. "But I thought you.. I thought you liked Hiro...?" He did look very confused by now, how could someone like two people like that.
"I...I did... I've liked Hiro since high school... he was always so kind to me… always smiling.. I never expected to meet anyone like you..." She backed up farther, knowing she was digging herself into a deeper hole, using the doorframe for support "Time passed... and my feelings swayed… and instead of my eyes always being and Nakano-san they began to turn toward you... but I refused to believe I could be falling for you.... because I'm so young... and I'd waited so long for Hiroshi to turn his eyes my way..." She let out a long sigh, willing her tears to not fall.
Ryuuichi stayed where he was for a moment longer before moving to her, slipping his arms around her once more. He didn't want to see her in trouble. He liked her smile and wanted to help bring it back. "Gomen ne... I know it's not much but if I can do anything to help you smile again... just let me know..."
She turned her eyes up to him, her expression sad. She couldn't even will a fake smile now that she had poured her heart out on the floor to be openly trampled on "I couldn't possibly ask more of you then to simply be my friend..."
He thought for a moment then lowered his eyes to meet hers. "I don't know much of being with someone.. I've only watched so I wouldn't be amazing..." He smiled out to her, "and besides Kuma-chan gets jealous when I play with someone else ^o^" ... "demo..." He pouted slightly then clung to her "Ryuuichi likes Yama-chan and no wanna see her sad."
She managed a small smile, scratching her head "But I thought you said Kuma-chan liked me? But I wouldn't ever want to make him jealous..." She sighed, once more thinking to herself. This is how it will probably always be... simply watching
"Hai Kuma-chan likes you yep ^^... demo is Ryu-chan not allowed to like you as well? "He pouted and went all teary-eyed
She shook her head, poking his nose "Of course you're allowed to like me."
Ryuuichi smiled and screwed up his face when poked in the nose. "Uwaaahhh" He leant down placing one arm under her knees the other under her shoulders as he lifted her up into his arms. "Ok miss Yama-chan, where do you want to go?"
She let out a yelp of surprise, her arms immediately clasping around his neck so as not to fall "I…I don't really care...."
"Hai-hai" Ryuuichi carried her into the living room and seated himself on the couch setting her down upon him. "There ^^ nicer place than kitchen more comfortable too ^o^"
She couldn't help but chuckle softly, after all he was always making her laugh, whether she wanted it or not. She unclasped her hands from around his neck, moving to push herself off and move to another chair so as not to burden him too much.
He grinned, his hand moving to restrict her from leaving his lap "Trying to get away from me so fast?" He pouted some as his eyes again became teary. "You no like me?" He blinked innocently and pouted more.
She blinked, staring back at him in slight confusion "No.. I like you... I just thought ... you might want some space..."
Ryuuichi petted her head and smiled "Nope, now you sit and don't worry nope-nope ^^"
She nodded, offering him a small smile, refraining from the urge to snuggle against him. She blinked, looking around the room. "uhm.... so... now what?"
"ah..." He pulled kuma-chan out of his pocket and handed him to her. "He wants an apology ^^"
She blinked, staring down at the rabbit in confusion. "Apology? For what?"
He pointed at his pocket XD "you accidentally sat on him" Ryuuichi giggled then stopped, sticking his tongue out at kuma-chan for the imaginary shouting at him for laughing.
She smiled, taking the stuffed animal from his hands and bending it's head so that she could kiss it, pulling him away and smiling at Kuma "Forgive me, Kuma-chan, I didn't mean to sit on you."
^^ "There-there see. She didn't mean it" ^^ Ryuuichi patted the bunny's head then looked at the girl upon his lap. He'd never really been around a girl this long before, besides Nori-chan.
She poked the rabbit in the nose playfully, just like she did to Ryu every now and then, her smile growing a bit wider "I'll try to never do it again, I promise."
Ryuuichi giggled and petted the girl's head gently. "Kuma-chan is silly, he moans at being left behind. It's his fault that he doesn't follow me "
She smiled, rubbing the rabbit's head thoughtfully "Perhaps."
"Perhaps?" He tilted head to one side and leaned a little closer to her, the bunny thinking they were having secret conversation without him.
Yamashi smiled, leaning in a bit closer as well. "Yes, perhaps."
"Perhaps what?" he tilted his head again to the other side, looking at her confused.
She opened her mouth to say something before closing her eyes and chuckling "I don't know."
He watched her, wondering what it was she wanted to say. "Is Yama-chan ok?"
She opened her eyes once more and smiled, nodding. "Yes"
Ryuuichi smiled and planted a soft kiss upon her forehead. "I like your smile ^^" He spoke out before leaning back and holding her to him.
She chuckled softly, giving into the urge to rest her cheek against his shoulder "Oh really? You must enjoy it a lot because you're always making me smile."
"Ryuuichi doesn't like seeing people he cares for sad. Shu-chan got sad a lot" he nodded slightly and began to play a hand through her hair.
"Shindou-san.... had a hard time coping with the person he loved.... I would go insane if I had to deal with a man like Yuki..." She sighed, mumbling to herself "I have a hard enough time dealing with only being able to watch...."
"Shu-chan happy now, right?" Ryuuichi remembered how when the pink haired boy was sad he'd always be around, only now he wasn't anywhere. "If he was sad, I'd see him. So he must be happy because I don't see him ^^" He stroked the girls hair gently, "Yama-chan lucky ^^ she has nice people around her yep-yep."
She smiled and nodded. She closed her eyes allowing herself to calm in his embrace, something she had secretly craved even when in Hiro's arms.
Ryuuichi's childlike nature seemed to fade from him as he held her gently. It perhaps seemed like there was something else that could bring out the passionate singer side to him besides his love of singing.
She remained silent for a long moment, recalling things in her mind before a question seemed to nag her into asking "Ry- Sakuma-san..... do.. you have a family?"
"A family..." Ryuuichi smiled then shook his head. "Nope, just kuma-chan and me ^^" he spoke out as though it really didn't bother him.
She opened her eyes slightly, her face almost blank of expression "Neither do I."
^.^ "Then we the same, no da" ^^ Ryuuichi really had no idea what life outside the life he lead was meant to be like; relationships, family it all didn't mean much to him because he'd never really known them.
She smiled again, closing her eyes to just allow herself to be enveloped in his warmth "Yea..."
Ryuuichi's eyes viewed the girl once again. She was very, very pretty he couldn't really tell what she liked or what she wanted, but he liked her being there.
She shifted slightly on his lap, her face moving to nuzzle against his neck. One hand fell limply over her lap and the other gripped her own shirt out of habit.
Ryuuichi closed his eyes and smiled, leaning his head to one side, offering the girl more snuggling room with a little mewling sound. Such a nice little feeling this was.
She inwardly grumbled at the sound of her pager beeping, most likely Shuuichi wanting to harass her after hearing the story from Nakano. She fumbled in her pocket for the blasted contraption, pulling it out and pressing a button to shut it up. I don't care who it is they aren't ruining this one moment I get with him.
