| Chapter 1:First Step to A Normal Life |

" I can't believe you are actually going through with this!" Mina stated, walking with her friend and cousin.

" Well I have to," Serena answered," I want to be a normal girl,"

This time she was looking Mina in the eye.

" I want to have a life of my own, I want to be in control of my life, not someone else controlling it for me," Serena looked at her cousin with sad and determined eyes. " I want to live my life differently, not the same thing as what my mother did and what her mother did before her. I don't want my life to be based on something set on stone, I want change and adventure and actually find true love!"

Mina looked at her cousin's eyes to see if she really wanted to go through with this. And practically all she saw determination. Mina sighed and nodded to her cousin, giving her cousin her approval.

"All right," Mina answered. Serena nodded at her.

" Well, let's go and tell the others!" Mina stated running to the direction of the other princess'.

' Now all I need to do is tell mother and get her approval,' thought Serena as she watched her cousin run away from her.

" Are you coming or what?" Mina shouted as she stopped and was looking at her.

Serena laughed at her cousin's enthusiasm. She nodded and went running towards her then to Rae's place.

" What!?" Rae abruptly asked, leaning over the table to get closer to Serena.

" I said I want to leave this place and start a new life," Serena stated matter-of-factly.

" But Serena, why?" asked Amie who was feeling sad and guilty thinking that her friends reason for depart was her.

" I just want to be able to control my life, not by something set on stone," answered Serena looking at Amie with care.

" Aren't you happy here?" asked Lita who was also feeling grim.

" I am…." Serena answered.

" Then why not stay?" asked Rae saddened by the thought that her best friend will never be there to get on her nerves.

" I want to live out of this kingdom, this world and life that has my every life event written down," Serena stated," I want to have my own destiny, not from someone who wrote it down for me to fulfill,"

Everyone in the room was quiet. Their friend was asking their permission to leave them, to start her own life from scratch. No paper, or someone telling her that her life should be lived this way. Free to make her, own decisions not worrying about what it could do to the future that are supposed to be.

" Well…….." Amie started," I approve of your decent,"

" Me too Serena, I want you to be happy and if this doesn't make you happy, then you can go," Lita answered hugging Serena with all her might.

" Same here," Rae answered," but in one condition."

" What?" asked Serena looking at Rae wondering what condition that is in her mind.

" I'm coming with you,"

" What!?" all of them blurted out, now standing.

" I want to come with you," Rae repeated again.

" But why?" asked Mina who was standing beside Serena.

" I want to get out of this place to and have a little adventure!" Rae answered," I want to go in another place and live a life of my own too. Not the life of something that has been put to stone. And besides, I don't want Serena to end up with all the fun!"

Serena smiled, and nodded in agreement with Rae's decision.

" Does anyone else wanna come?" asked Serena looking at all of them.

" I can't, with you going to be gone I need to rule then, I just can't leave this place without a leader," Mina answered.

" I have to stay here and rule my kingdom, I am the only heir," Amie answered looking at Serena sadly.

" I have to stay here and keep the place guarded and also the queen," Lita answered.

" OK," Serena stated sadly.

" But you have to promise to send us a letter or a call and tell us how you guys are," Rae stated matter-of-factly.

All the girls nodded and smiled. The circle of friends spent their day laughing and smiling, trying to spend time with their friends before the day they might leave them.

Queen Serenity sat on the couch that was in her room. She picked up the book that she had been reading for the last week. She was about to start her reading when she heard a knock coming from her door.

She stood up and walked to the door. Only to be met by her daughter's face.

" Serena, what do you need my little bunny?" asked Serenity happy about seeing her daughter.

Serena came in and went to sit on the couch Serenity was just on. Serenity closed the door and went to sit beside Serena facing her.

" I came here to tell you that I want to leave this place and start my own life," Serena answered looking up at her mother's face that had turned sad.

" Why would you want to leave?" asked Serenity grimly, looking at her daughter, while thinking through every moment of her daughter and events that would answer to her daughters choice to leave.

" I want to have a normal life mother," Serena answered flatly.

Serenity, seeing the depth of her daughters reason was in silence. Her daughter has indeed been through a lot. Saving the world, reborn a lot of times, and still hold the life she had lived in all the other ones she had.

Serenity looked at her daughter and asked," Is this what you really want?"

Serena taken aback by her mothers question nodded after a while.

" Well then," Serenity started," You may leave, and start your own life,"

Serena's facial expression changed to a joyful one. Serena hugged her mother and Serenity hugged back with all her might.

" Thank you mother, thank you!" Serena stated happily.

" Anything to make my daughter happy," Serenity answered still holding Serena in her arms.

Serena let go of her mother and looked at her face with a smile. She gave her a kiss on the cheek and left the room after saying goodnight.

Serenity looked away from the door her daughter had just gone out and walked over to the night stand and took the picture of her and her Serena in the garden.

Noticing the slightly pained expression on her face after just finding out she would be the Universes protector forever.

" She would be happy and live normally now," Serenity said aloud to her self," What she always wished for is granted. To be normal,"

She set the picture down," My baby, my little bunny,"
