She awoke to silence, it was deafening to her ears… and it wasn't much better from their screams of fear and pain. The stench of carnage and death filled her senses making her choke from the thick stale air.

The pain she felt was massive… she couldn't move but it was nothing compared to the pain she felt in her heart…

Neo Queen Serenity opened her eyes narrowing them as the harsh winds blew against them. Tears stung her eyes as she felt it or rather what she didn't feel, the nothingness felt vast and sickening. She heard nothing…

No cries of pain or joy. No screams of fear or victory.

A wry smile found its way to her bruised lips. The sight of it was saddening. It was a cruel and broken smile.

As she lay there in a pool of her own blood she couldn't help but realize she had known this day would come, the day when Sailor Chaos would rise to challenge her… to awaken the spirit of the stars within her.

And she could feel it. It was preventing her release. Her freedom from this pain… duty. Duty drove her but in the end it would only break her.

A sob escaped her dry throat. She missed them already; she just wanted to be with them. Just thinking about the emotionless being she would become weighed heavily on her torn soul.

Her eyes narrowing she fought against the overwhelming feeling of Cosmos.

Finally closing her eyes in exhaustion she managed to open her lips wide enough to speak. Her voice rang through the air easily since no other sounds were there to block it out, her voice cracking slightly.

"Please… let me be with them one last time. I don't want to live to be a monster without feeling. I don't want to become that which I hate. Give me a chance. Let me make one more wish…"

A bright light formed inside of her hand filling her with warmth and power, with the will of hope and strength to believe.

She clutched the tender crystal in her hands tightly.

A bright light burst from her hand as the crystal shattered. Her head fell to the side and her eyes closed once again but this time in peace.

"Usagi, Usagi… little white rabbit, wake up." The soft voice spoke to her kindly, gently asking her to awake.

Usagi's eyes fluttered slightly before opening fully. The first thing she noticed is that she was floating and there was no ground it was just a sea of white. All around her was a blinding white light.

She gasped in fear but then noticed the large dark silver angel wings upon her back. She wore her princess dress only it was pitch black and her hair no longer the white as when she was Neo Queen Serenity but back to a sun kissed gold.

Her eyes fell slightly, sadness radiating from her as she recalled the past events. The end of Crystal Tokyo and the beginning of her life as an immortal following her duty to keep the balance fit and never letting it tip to one side for to long.

"So my wish didn't work," she whispered letting a tear fall into the deep white abyss below.

"Your wrong dear child." The soft voice called again.

Before her, a figure began to form.

Usagi looked at the woman in curiosity. At first she figured the mysterious voice to be someone she knew.

The mysterious woman was quite stunning. With her white hair that fell past her feet and blackish silver colored eyes. She had the same built as Usagi did, She also wore a black dress it looked like something out of a fairy tale.

She smiled.

"Who are you?" Usagi said holding her arms close as if for protection.

"My name is not of any importance that is because I really don't have a name only a purpose. I am a spirit you see. I do not live and I do not feel but I am not emotionless because I am not real.

…I was created by you."

Usagi's eyes widened slightly a curious look upon her face. "I created you?"

The woman nodded.

"You see we are in the spirit realm, the crossing between the stars. The link from one time to another. This place also links each dimension to the next.

I have been brought into existence to serve your purpose and grant your wish. You see I am replacing you as Cosmos. Because. I am Cosmos. I am the spirit you wouldn't let control you.

I have been freed so to speak. I do not have a body I am not alive. I am solely, all the powers you gave away to once more be with your friends.

But I am sorry you are still a senshi and all senshi have a star crystal. That means you will not get your eternal rest because you will always be reborn."

"But the Maboroshi no Ginzuishou, it's broken that's my star crystal so shouldn't I be dead?"

The spirit of Cosmos shook her head.

"By freeing me you were able to save the crystal. It's very complicated. Even though your wish for eternal rest couldn't come true. I am willing to send you to a new place in time. Far after Crystal Tokyo into the future.

Usagi lowered her gaze. "And the senshi"

Cosmos looked the other way her head downcast "I do not know, they might and they might not… it all depends. If you choose not to and they are reborn then you will never see them again"

Usagi sharply turned to her mirror double. "And if they are not there what then, I shall live in misery knowing that I never got to say goodbye or thank them for always being there, thank them for everything?"

"Even if you go and they are there you will not remember them because in order to remember you must come across them, though it doesn't mean they will get there memories back. That is up to them. But in a sense I am you so I know that is what you desire."

Usagi nodded "Then I will go."

Cosmos smiled again before Usagi began to fade until in her place was a brightly shining silvery white crystal shaped like its first form. A sphere; the moon.

"Farewell, may you finally find peace."

Well that was fairly okay.. I guess it's good but I don't like it anymore rofl
