Wash Away Those Years



<She came calling
One early morning>

The doorbell rang, and I went to answer it.
<She showed her crown of thorns>

I was suprised by her.
Serena hadn't come to me in a few years, ever since that night.

<She whispered softly
To tell a story
About how she had been wronged>

*Flashback*
He opened the door to find her standing there, crying.
"May I come in?" she asked.
He nodded.
She walked in quietly and sat down on the couch.
"What's wrong?" he asked quietly.

<As she lay lifeless
He stole her innocence>

She told him about the fight between her and Darien. As she was explaining the fight, he
had to fight the urge to go and kill Darien. Then he heard something he never wanted to her
from this angel.
"Darien got angry with me, then he slammed me against the wall," she cried harder and he
put his arms around her," he......he raped me."
He gasped.
*End Flashback*

<And this is how she carried on>

"Hi," she said sheepishly.
"Hi," I replied," How've you been?"
"I'm fine, my I come in," she asked.
"Yes, of course," I said and moved to let her in the door.

<Well I guess she closed her eyes
And just imagined everythings alright>

She walked in and sat down on the couch.
'Just like before,' I thought.

<But she could not hide her tears
'Cause they were sent
To wash away those years>

"It's been awhile," I pointed out.
"I know, sorry," she replied.
"For what," I asked.
"For not talking to you for so long," she replied.

<They were sent to wash away those years>

"It's okay," I told her.
"I've got to stop running from my past," she said.
I stared at her.

<My anger's violent
But still I'm silent
When tragedy strikes at home>

"What do you mean? It wasn't your fault he did that!" I yelled.
She began to cry.

<I know this decadence
Shared by millions>

I sat down beside her and put my arm around her shoulders.
She leaned against me and cried into my shoulder.

<Remember you're not alone>

"It's okay," I told her," I'm here for you."

<For we have crossed my oceans
And we labor in between>

"I know," she whispered as her crying began to slow.
'How could this have come between us, we were such good friends before,' I thought.
She seemed almost limp in my arms.
I gently picked her up, which suprised her, and carried her into my guest room. I lay
her gently on the bed. Then I lay down beside her.
"Serena.....I love you," I told her as I hugged her against me.
"I love you too, Wufei," she said quietly, then fell asleep in my arms.

<In life there are many quotients
And I hope I find the mean>
