Meanwhile, later at the temple, Rei meditated in front of the fire.

Rei: I am flame, flame is light. I am fire, fire is sight. I am flame....dammit! There's nothing. Why can't I concentrate!

She bolts up and runs out of the temple, slamming every door she came to. Out back, she kneeled by the moonlit pond and starred at her reflection. She sighed heavily and didn't bother to turn around when Zechs appeared behind her. She saw him standing there looking at her through the reflection of the water. A soft wind blew and blew her raven hair over her empty looking eyes, that seemed to be so distant from reality.

Zechs: Are you all right?

Rei: I'm fine, just wanted some fresh air that's all.

Zechs: *sits next to her* All right, tell me what's going on.

Rei: Isn't it obvious? Trowa and I broke up. There's nothing else to tell.

Zechs: Cut that out. You had better tell me now or I'll keep asking until I get an explanation.

Rei: *aggravated* I hate the way you get me to tell you things.

Zechs: *smile* It's a gift.

So Rei explained the situation.....

Zechs: I see. I'm very sorry to hear that. However, there's one thing that puzzles me. How is it that your appearance changed when you left him at the restaurant?

Rei: I...I was angry...so..

Zechs: How come you didn't come straight home?

Rei: I spent the night at a friend's.

Zechs: Where did you say you went for dinner?

Rei: Olive Garden. What's with the interrogation Zechs?! Is there a point to you being so nosey and all up in my business!!?

Zechs: Interesting....the only friend who lives near that area is Duo.

Rei: I never said it was his house.

Zechs: You never said that it WASN'T either.

Rei: How do you know it was him? I could've been at a friend's from school!

Zechs: You COULD'VE but you WEREN'T. Come now, I know you well enough to tell when you're lying. So you now love the Maxwell boy eh? How quickly we recover from injury!

Rei: It's not like that! It's true, I did spend the night with him, and we shared eachother's love, but then he wouldn't except my own anymore! He felt he had taken something of Trowa's, so that left me...in the dark again.

Zechs: I see. That's very understandable being that both Duo and Trowa have taken something of mine...unknowingly.

Rei: *glare* Don't start that again!

She goes inside althought she didn't know Zechs was following right behind her until she reached her bedroom. After she had gone inside and collapsed on her bed, her bedroom door opened.

Rei: How dare you follow me in here!

Zechs: *closes door behind him* It's not like I haven't been here before, surely you remember.

Rei: *turns over and blushes* No, I don't.

Zechs: *lays on the bed behind her* You still love Trowa, don't you?

Rei: I don't know anymore. I don't know anything anymore.

Zechs: Then let me help you. I know I'm still in love with you, and I always will be. *puts arm around her waist pulling her closer into him*

Rei: *whisper* No, we mustn't.

Zechs: Why not?

Rei: Because we can't...I...I can't.

Zechs: But I need you!

He dropped kisses on her shoulder that sent shivers up and down Rei's spine. Zechs had slowly turned her on her back, still suckling on he neck. Their kiss intensified as he felt the curves of her body, making each muscle contract.

Rei: Milliardo...

Zechs: You were the only one to call my name. Only you..

Rei: Milliardo...I ..can't.

Zechs: What? *stops*

Rei: No...NO!! *pushes him off*

Zechs: *falls on the floor* What's wrong?

Rei: Everything...this! I can't do this anymore!

Zechs: But-

Rei: NO! That's final! You will never hear me call out your name again.

Zechs:...very well then...*leaves* I hope one day you'll find happiness.

Okay, so time passed and it's now winter. The gang thought that for vacation it would be a great idea to spend time at the ski lodge. They arrived and the senshi stepped off the bus.

Rei: I wanna go home.

Lita: But we just got here!

Rei: I don't care! I want to go!

Mina: But whyeee! This is gonna be fun!

Rei: I don't care! It's too cold!

Serena: Awww, Mars Bars can't take the cold?

Rei: Shut up meatball brain!

Then a van pulled up and the guys showed up.

Duo: Hey gals! *inhales deeply* Ah! Don'cha love the crisp air!?

Wufei&Heero: Why did we hafta come?

Trowa: It was here with us, or home with Relena and Sally Po.

Wufei&Heero: *look at eachother then back* I love the crisp air!

Rei: Oh no! Why this?

Ami: What is it?

Rei: I reallly would like to go home now!

Serena: But Rei-

Rei: Why does SHE have to be here?

Catherine: Wow! It's so beautiful up here! Let's go ski Trowa!

Trowa: Sure, after we settle in a bit.

Rei: *holds head* I'm gonna be sick.

Lita: You had to face 'em sooner or later.

Rei: I'd rather NEVER. Now excuse me I'm gonna go to our log cabbin so I can puke in the bathroom. *walks away*

Duo: Hey, is she okay? She looked kinda pale.

Lita: I hope she'll be okay.

Serena: I'm gonna go with her to make sure.

Ami: Memories of the past haunt her.

Duo: I'll say things have changed. Ya know how Quatre and Trowa were good buddies? Not anymore. Quatre refuses to play that duet they used to play. I miss that song. *pout*

Lita: Where is Quatre anyway?

Quatre: Right here.

Heero: No luggage?

Duo: He likes to travel light.

Wufei: That's an understatement.

They all walk to their cabins. Quatre pulls out a dinocap (curtasy of Capsule Corp.!) and POOF! A two story house!

Duo: Uh...forget about the traveling light thing I mentioned before. *sweatdrop*

Quatre: Ah! Home sweet, temporary, luxurious home!

Mina: Oh wow! It's sooo glamorous! *starry eyed*

Quatre: Thank you. You can stay if you like.

Mina: Oh would I ever! You're soo sweet!

Catherine: How about the rest of us?

Quatre: No, not necessary.

Catherine: Why not?

Quatre: Because I said so.

Trowa: Don't be mean, it's not like you.

Quatre: Look who's talking. Let's go Mina.

Lita: *whisper* Wow, Duo wasn't kidding about Quatre and Trowa.

Ami: *whisper* I didn't think it was possible!

After Quatre and Mina walked a distance, Duo popped up.

Mina: Ack! Why do you hafta do that!

Duo: Cuz it's fun! :p

Mina: Sheez. ~_~'

Duo: Anyway Q-man, I have a favor to ask you.

Quatre: What's that?

Duo: Could Rei stay with you guys? She's been down and she could use a couple of fun people to cheero her up.

Quatre: Sure, she can stay.

Mina: You're a fun guy, Duo. Why don't you cheer her up.

Duo:Heh, I'm the last person she needs now. Besides, I'd screw it up as always.

He didn't say this in his usual sarcastic way. In fact Quatre and Mina could hear a hint of sadness in his voice and posture as he looked away from them. He looked like he was far off, the way he gazed off into the distant snow covered hills. He then turned back to them with his usual goofy-smile

Duo: Welp, I'll go get her then. See yaz!
