Gundam Wing Fan Fiction / Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction / InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ TYLC Months 1 and 2 ❯ Being Invited ( Prologue )
Disclaimer: I don't own the following: DBZ, GW, IY, SM, TM, or YYH. I also do not own the OC's that were donated to me. I just write them in the fanfic, and control what they do in it. I am myself though. Hehe.
Pairings: I'll mention in the next chapter.
Warnings: Very big crossover, a lot of self-insertions. Enough said. Oh, and it's rated PG-13 right now, because of language. I'm unsure of whether or not I'll really have love scenes. If you guys request it enough, I'm sure I can imply a lot of them. Then give a few juicy lemons. Again, upto you guys. Oh yeah, and /../ are thoughts.
The Year Long Contest Prologue: Being Invited
"Hey, did I get anything in the mail," Wachey asked her mother. Even though it was in the middle of summer, the seventeen-year old still got some mail. The elder woman merely gave her the large envelope, figuring it was another college application. She then walked off, and asked, "You want me to make you some noodles?"
"Sure," the hazel-eyed girl replied, and opened up her mail. She probably wouldn't apply to this college, but there was no harm in reading what it had to offer. She was surprised to find it had nothing to do with college. Instead, it was about a contest. A year long contest.
"Mom, I think you should read this," she then stated, going into the kitchen as her mother was boiling water. Quirking a brow, she waited for Wachey to explain with, "It's about this contest."
"If it's a physical fitness contest then you'll lose," her mother responded, and smirked at her daughter's pout. Either way she read it, and looked at what else was in the envelope. Apparently it was a contest that involved more than just athleticism. It involved brains, fighting, olympic games, and other things she did not think her *normal* daughter could compete in. Looking furiously through it again, she tried to find a bill that would most likely have to be paid for attending. There was none.
"Okay, this is a prank. Throw it away," the older woman instructed, and made sure her daughter did so.
The next day was even odder for the both of them. Seeing as two handsome young men came knocking on their door. But that wasn't really the strange part. The fact that one had pink hair, blue eyes, and actually looked good with that color of hair, was the odd factor. His partner was taller, as well as a realistic looking blonde with hazel eyes. Still they looked very familiar to Wachey.
"Hi, my name is Shuichi Shindo, this is my partner Eiri Yuki, and we are here representing an invitation you received yesterday, I believe," the pink-haired boy introduced first. Now the girl knew she recognized them. They were from Gravitation!! Out of shock, the girl blacked out.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Japan, Kagome was practically running with her huge duffle bag on her back. Before she even met Inu Yasha, this type of weight would be impossible for her to carry, but she was used to it by now. Either way she was stopped when her mother called out, "Kagome! Kagome, you got a letter!"
"Huh? Hurry mom, Inu Yasha will be mad at me if I'm any later," the girl said, jogging in place. Handing her the large envelope, she said goodbye as her daughter continued to run off into the old shrine, then jump into the well.
Landing gracefully as usual, she found the half-demon glaring at her from above. Nearly yelling, he said, "It's about time! I was going to jump in and get you."
"Sorry, but my mom had to give me this letter," Kagome explained as she climbed out of the well. Forgetting about it for the time being, she handed over some of the junk food she brought over for her friends to eat.
"Thanks Kagome, but what's in that letter," Shippo asked. Ever the curious kit, he tried to rip it open. Gently taking it away, the girl opened it up, and pulled out it's contents. Reading over it, she gasped.
"What is it Kagome," all of them chorused.
"It's an invitation to a contest, for all of us," she explained, showing them the letter she just read.
"You mean someone in your time knows you come into ours," Shippo asked curiously.
"I don't know," Kagome answered honestly. Snatching the letter from her, the half-demon read some of it, and stated, "No, more like someone just knows about us in general. Who ever sent this intends for us all to attend their crappy competition."
"How do they expect us to get there? If they belong in Kagome's time, only you and Kagome could go. None of us can go down the well," Miroku stated more than asked.
"He's right," Sango agreed.
"Look, there's a map of Japan. I mean, not the Japan of my time, but yours," Kagome stated, pulling out said map. Looking it over they found a path way drawn for them to follow, and then a meeting point for them to stop at.
"I guess they have someone there waiting for us, that could possibly be able to travel through time," the monk asked again, looking to Inu Yasha. The other male nodded.
Watching them carefully, a certain clay figure stay hidden amongst the trees a couple of feet away from them. Yes, Kikyo had made it a habit to watch their moves, but how could she resist? Looking to a scroll she had recently found, she realized that it was probably the same map in which they had. /So that is where they will be? All right then, I shall follow you Inu Yasha. I shall follow you always. / With that thought, she walked off towards her new destination.
"What!? Another tournament!?? No way, we just barely got off of one," Kuwabara yelled at Koenma. The toddler sized leader merely shook his head, and stated, "There is more to this than just fighting. It's a year long competition."
"Whoa, a year long? Now I like skipping school as much as the next guy, but I know Keiko will object," Yusuke said as an excuse.
"Yes, I understand you feel school is important to you. But it says here that school will be provided for you there. But only invited guests may attend. Those include: Yusuke, Kuwabara, Hiei, Kurama, Botan, and myself. It also states that no one will be allowed to die. You should have no worries there. This place, is sort of like a resort."
"I don't know, it still sounds fishy to me. What are the prizes," the spirit detective asked, sort of warming upto the idea of going.
"One wish," was all Koenma stated. It was then they received a knock on his door.
Knocking on the door, Duo Maxwell waited for Une to call him in before entering. He then greeted, "Hey, you called?"
"Yes, I called all of you here," the brown-haired woman stated, indicating all in the room. The braded boy wasn't surprised to see the other gundam pilots and Sally there. He was, however, surprised to find Hilde, Relena, Dorothy, and Cathy there. Mainly Hilde, because he could've brought her here himself.
"Now will you tell us why you've called for this meeting," Wufei asked impatiently.
"Yes. I was a sent a package yesterday, full of invitations to all ten of you. They are invitations to a year long contest."
"What," some of them seemed to ask at the same time.
"There is more to it than that. It is also some sort of resort. The grand prize being one wish. I don't believe it, and I doubt the rest of you do, but I feel we must invistigate this matter, especially since they invited Miss Relena," Une finished explaining.
"Mission accepted," Heero stated before anyone else could object. Anything that could bring potential danger to her, was always top priority. At least to him.
In another world, one filled with saiyans, Goku and Vegeta were about to spar. Yet before they could power up, someone yelled, "Goku! You got a letter to a tournament!"
"Huh? Really," he asked excited about the news. Sighing, Chichi just shook her head, turned to the other saiyan, and explained, "My two sons got one also, and Bulma just called five minutes ago. Apparently you got the same invitation, as well as Trunks."
"Hm? I guess someone wants us all to attend then. We shouldn't disappoint them," the prince of all saiyans said smirking slightly at the prospect of fighting Goku.
"Yeah, this should be great!" With that said, both asked for the earthling woman to explain what else was in the letter.
Running as fast as she could, Mina stopped for a brief moment to catch her breath. Why did they always have to have their meetings at Rei's shrine?!? It was so far away from her house, it was no wonder she was late!
Finally arriving there, she said what she usually would, which was, "Hey guys. Sorry for being late!"
"Big deal, you're always late," Hino stated with arrogance. Some moments, the blonde girl wished she could just slap the black-haired girl, but that wouldn't be nice. Either way she just stayed quiet and waited for one of the other girls to ask, "Why did you ask us to meet today Luna?"
/Ugh, like we always got to ask. Why can't they just tell us when we all arrive, / Mina thought privately to herself. Either way the black cat dragged out a package she had taken from Serina, and started to explain with, "All of you have been asked to attend a year long competition. It's sort of like a resort, but I have a bad feeling about it."
"You think there may be some evil there that will try to take over the earth," Rei then asked, Lita glaring slightly, for she was about to ask that.
"Yes, there may be. They say it is sort of like a resort, and the grand prize is one wish, but I don't buy it for a second. So please, do be careful there," the black cat stated.
"Oh don't worry, we'll be just fine. Besides, they invited the outer scouts too, right," Serina asked, eating something like a pig. The others didn't care what it was, they just knew it was sweet.
"You are such a pig Ryoko," Aeka nearly yelled, very upset that all of her food was ruined. The space pirate merely floated in the air grinning away, but that didn't last long. Before everyone knew it, the two of them were fighting in the house again. Luckily the others were able to escape to Washu's lab this time.
"Who goes there," she asked reading over something. Finding it was merely the girls and Tenchi, she shrugged and turned back around to her lab-top.
"What are you doing Little Washu," Tenchi asked curious. Jumping into her lap, little Ryo-oh-ki showed how she wanted to know as well.
"Hm, you silly little thing. I'm just investigating an invitation we all received," the scientist explained softly.
"Oh really? A contest to what," Mihoshi asked, sitting down. But as she said down, she accidently pressed a button, and caused a few explosions. Trying to mend her mistakes, she started to press other buttons. Slightly furious, the red-headed woman forgot about the letter and tried to stop the blonde clutz before she destroyed everything!
"Hm, let me see," Kiyone mumbled, reading over the letter which had been dropped. She didn't want to be caught up in the mess which was Mihoshi, so she read the contents of the letter to herself.
/Ugh...did I...did I just imagine that scene earlier, / Wachey thought to herself, waking up in her bed. Shaking her head, she figured it was all just a dream. Then why did she feel so...different?
"Mom," she called out casually, rubbing at her eyes.
"Yes, you okay," Mary asked, quickly entering the room, and feeling her daughter's head. Looking at her suspiciously the seventeen year-old replied, "Yeah. Why do you ask?"
Before her mother could answer, the girl felt a jolt of pain, and blacked out one more. What was going on?? Wasn't it all a dream?

Sorry for taking so long, was kinda stuck on it. You notice I switched scenes and stuff like that. I'm going to try and not do that so much, because that can be confusing. Anyway, I'm off to do the first chapter! Wish me luck!
