Cassidy looked out the ship window as she and Duo headed back to the L2 colony. As the nights events echoed through her mind, she held onto the last thing she had ever gotten from her true love, a white tiger that held a purple heart that said `tears are tears and smiles are smiles, but yours mean so much to me'. Trowa's happier without me; I'll let him live happily.

Though she and Duo were only going back to the colony for a week, she had a feeling that Trowa was never going to talk to her again, that thought alone made part of her want to curl up and die.

"We'll arrive at L2 in a few hours, I haven't been there in so long." Duo sat down next to her as the nearly empty shuttle took off. Quickly, she wiped the tears that had been forming in her cobalt eyes but her brother noticed. "Cass, what's wrong?"

"No...Nothing, Duo, its nothing." She forced a smile, which only hurt. She hated lying to her brother, but at the moment, she couldn't tell him what was wrong. The look of concern in her brother's identical cobalt eyes made her hurt more, he knew something was wrong, she never cried unless it had something to do with him, their mother, or someone close to her.

"Don't keep things bottled up inside, its not healthy." Duo punched his sister's arm lightly then sat back in the shuttle seat. "You'll talk in time, I know you will." Cassidy only sighed and looked out the window again. Space, it's so melancholy, and it keeps our memories alive. Her mind drifted into deep thought as she thought about what she did wrong, again.

"What then, Duo? If Mother is let out into the public and she goes on a shooting spree like she did last year, what's going to happen? She'll be put on death row." Cassidy looked at Duo then ran outside into a winter storm. She had to get away, maybe actually leave the world. "I'm useless."

"I don't think so. You're quite intelligent and very beautiful." Trowa came up behind her, wrapping his strong arms around her waist. She immediately became tense; thinking it was some pervert out looking for a date. "Relax Cassidy, it's just me."

"Thank heavens." She put her head on his shoulder as she looked up at the sky, noticing that it was snowing. Without her knowing, his hand found the gun that was in her belt, and a question arose in why she had it. Self-protection, I hope. 22 calabor must be one of Duo's.

"Shall we go back to your home before we catch a death out here?" Trowa nuzzled the back of her neck softly and took her by the hand, slipping the gun into his jacket pocket.

"Mhmm..." She smiled as they started to walk in the falling snow that was starting to pile up in banks. "Thanks Trowa."

"Hm? For what?"

"For listening to me, taking the time to know me." Cassidy looked at him from the corner of her eye as they walked. For once in her life, she had a true look of happiness in her eyes, but she didn't know that that would soon end.

"You're welcome." His voice was a bit confused but he shook it off as they reached the house. By this moment, Cassidy was shaking from the cold and huddled close to Trowa. They entered the house, and noticed that Duo had gone back to the Preventors Headquarters.

A number of Cassidy's songs were scattered on the kitchen table and one caught his attention, Blood that's lost, the title scared him a bit but it was the song itself that made him mad.

"Cass, what's with this song?"

"Oh. Well, I was a little depressed and felt like I couldn't trust anyone and that's what I came out with."

"Do you mean what you said in this?"

"Most of it, yeah." Trowa set the song down and went to Cassidy, looking her in her eyes with his crystalline green ones.

"If that's what you want, is to be left alone, then I'll leave you as well" He was serious. After she had finally found love, she loves it.

"No…Trowa, please."

"Good bye, Cassidy."

"Please." Cassidy was pulled from her thoughts by the beeping of Duo's beeper. Again, she wiped the tears from her eyes and looked at Duo, who raised an eye brow at the beeper.

"Why on Earth would Quatre be paging me?" Duo scratched his head then stood up to find a phone, looking at Cassidy for a moment. "Are ya sure that you don't want to talk?"

"I'm sure Duo."

"Alright, alright, but ya know you're starting to worry me." Duo left her alone, like she wanted to be at the moment. There was much more to worry about than her love life at the moment.
