Hey everybody! I decided to give the series Gundam Wing a shot so if I'm not that great blame it on my lack of knowledge…even if I did try to look up information for this particular fanfiction…well I actually do that with all my fanfictions but meh anyway this is a Self Insertion! You shall see what I mean…and I will be taking requests so after I am done this I will do someone else in a similar fashion unless you request something else. And it has to be a one-shot for this will be a series of one-shots!

Pure Bliss?- Duo's Story

You sigh and sit down in the rubble that once was Maxwell church, you give a sad smile and you think back on all the wonderful things that had happened here…'when you still had Duo around' you think bitterly. You remember that fateful day when OZ attacked your church, no, your home…they had killed so many…Father Maxwell…Sister Helen…and you assumed Duo was dead also because you couldn't find him. You had screamed and yelled his name until your throat was raw and dry. 'But he didn't answer…and neither did they…they all die one way or another…' you think sadly. You see you were an orphan but that's no surprise since a lot of kids were orphans on L2, and you were one of the lucky ones to get a home and a kind family. But everywhere you went the people you loved always died…you were now the leader of a group that provided a shelter for all those who didn't have a home… you were called the Peace Bringers…cheesy, most definitely but heh that is what you did you brought peace to those who worried where they would go at night. And that made you feel happy and proud, that you could do something like that, you knew if Father, Sister and Duo were still alive they would be so proud! You chuckle at the thought of Duo, there might be grief with his name but there was also love, and happiness you think back to that one day when Duo had told you he loved you and would always be there no matter what…

FLASH BACK

You sat quietly on the window sill of the church, it was your favourite since it gave you a view of the sunset…yes, you knew how corny the sunset was and how only romantic fools really watched it but it always captivated you…it was like fire spreading across the sky or gold and amethyst swirls combining to make a beautiful master piece, plus it was always fun to paint. You take a deep breath and lean against the cool, stone wall. 'Wonder, where Duo is…probably annoying Sister Helen…hmm, he should make a book! Yup, you could see it now…101 ways to annoy people to know ends by Duo Maxwell' the thought of Duo publishing anything like that made you break out into a wide grin and chuckle softy.

"What's so funny?" a soft, yet masculine voice whispers in your ear. You gasp in surprise and lose your balance on the window sill, you give a startle shriek and fall right into Duo's waiting arms. Duo smirks, "I'm glad to see I still make you fall for me ____________." You snort and push yourself off him, taking slight notice in the way he seems disappointed for you to be out of his arms. "So, Duo what are you doing here?" you ask miffed by his earlier comment since it was so true …you had fallen for Duo, hard but when you didn't know…loving Duo came so easily to you it was like…breathing you could never stop loving him for you would die If you did…

You take a startled step back when Duo waved a hand in front of your face. He looks at you with concerned eyes, "__________, are you okay? You zoned out on me..." You blush and give him a warm smile, "I'm fine Duo, I was just…thinking…" Duo looks baffled, "THINKING?!?! __________________ are you nuts! That's a dangerous stunt for you!" Your eyes widen at the insult and you tackle him without a second thought. Duo laughs and you are soon engaged in a serious tickle war. You and Duo are soon out of breath, you vaguely notice that you are lying on top of him and he is stroking your hair.

You feel more than hear Duo take a deep breath, "Actually ______________ there was a reason that I graced you with my presence…" You look up from Duo's chest that you had been snuggling against, "And what's that Duo-koi?" you ask curious. Duo takes a sharp intake of breath, "Ah, what did you just call me?" You tilt your head to the side, "Duo-koi? Why? You know I love you Duo…forever and for always." You say looking at him honestly. Duo's eyes widen. 'Here it comes' you think, 'he's going to say I'm sorry I don't love you like that I see you only as a sister…' you think the last part bitterly. "________________! You did it again! Why do you always say what I want to say before me!" Duo asks exasperatedly. You shrug, "I don't know maybe we are soul mates…wait a minute…you love me too?" you ask meekly. Duo looks at you like you have grown a second head, "My god you really are a dense girl you know that? I have been only flirting with you for almost the whole year! Of course I love you! The real question is how could I not? I'll always be here for you ______________."

You give him your smile 1000 watt smile, Duo grins back and gives you a quick kiss on the lips before pulling you into his "There is no way in hell I'm letting go of you" hug. You sigh and snuggle into his warm body, life was pure bliss…

FLASH BACK ENDS

…yes life was pure bliss before those OZ bastards showed up…you absently wipe a tear away and take in a shuddering breath, thinking back on those happy days always did bring a tear or two to your eye. You get up from the stone you had been sitting on and walk to the ruins of your favourite window sill. You smile sadly and decide to watch the sunset once again, you hadn't because it always made you cry…there were too many emotions and memories involving the brilliant star that provided the colonies and earth light and heat. You sigh and lean back, and chuckle ironically this was all so familiar just like way back then…

"So, you going to continue laughing or let me in on that little secret that brings a smile to your beautiful face?" a very, missed voice says in you ear. You don't even look before flinging yourself into the warm, body. "Duo!" you choke out between sobs. "Hey, shhhhh, it's okay _______________." Duo says while rubbing your back. "I thought you were dead…" you whisper while looking up into those amazing, violet eyes. Duo laughs, "You can't kill the God of Death." You smile and without warning kiss him passionately. Duo responds immediately and wraps his arms around you bringing you closer. You break away eventually for the need of air, "I love you so much." You hear him whisper into your hair while nuzzling it with his face. "I know…" you say and sigh contently…maybe life was pure bliss after all…

WOW! That totally sucked! But hey I tried and sorry but I am not the best at writing kissing scenes or anything remotely romantic so forgive me? Reviews would be wonderful and remember I AM taking requests but only so many and I will not put your name it will always be a blank spot so other readers can enter their names as well. But I will dedicate it to you at the top of the story and use your idea so send in the guy you want and the plot…okay? And don't worry I will be putting some of mine own horrible ideas up as well…
